Charak is talking about characters who are not part of the guild. I'm guessing they're a group of experienced treasure hunters, far more experienced than our little group are. They're part of a subplot... which I don't know much about because Charak is planning it himself.

Surely he should let you know what's going down then? Just in case it interferes with the main plot.
...I swear Abby/abbey isn't in those teams.

also i want the treasure hunters to be missing in someway (ie legendary pokemon Has them trapped but no one knows anything about it (was thinking it could be Kyruem because he could trap them in Nevermelt Ice)

Legendary pokemon are far, far too rare to even bother trapping some simple treasure hunters on their first mission. I'm certain GM has a plan.
Exactly! TEWNN is a complete and utter badass but he can't use any of that power without hurting people. Hence he doesn't. (Unless he has to.)

Ah, I see where you're going. Sorta. Can't wait to see what comes from Espurr in the near future. If there is one, anyways.

If Abby approaches Espurr at some point in said near future, I'll add a bit in my post about Espurr's telepathic energy...because to my knowledge, Espurr's have some massive amount of psychic power but they don't/can't use it and keep it in them using their ears.

So essentially, Espurr's a ticking time-bomb of a pokemon and the slightest ear-twitch could probably smash quite a few windows.

(It's a good thing TEWNN barely ever uses his power and does everything by hand)
Ngoc said Wonder what would happen if Abby tried to look into TEWNN's head.

He'd notice that Espurr isn't stupid at all, and probably come out with a deep sense of dread.

Well, we must be telepathically linked anyway, because we posted at the same time. Actually, Abby and Espurr could have a cool plot together. *shrug*
Espurr rarely frequented the streets of Sunny Town, for some reason or another. He usually wandered away to the outskirts of the town to keep to himself in favour of going around pokemon who usually attempt contact or show concern when he disappears for a few days at a time only to return with the unshakable urge to consume a lot of food in a very short space of time. His blank eyes slid across Sunny Town passively as he walked - or, well, it was more of a tottering waddle - down the street, completely ignoring the pokemon around him. His journey reached a halt as he noticed something of a small commotion around the notice board in the town and, being the curious and observant type, Espurr walked closer to see what it was all about.

A group of pokemon were reading a notice about an Adventurer's guild, in Constance's old library. Now it belonged to her daughter...Birch? Sycamore? Whatever her name was. Something to do with a tree, Espurr vaguely recalled that, because he never met her. Sergeant Arcanine was shoving pokemon out of the way to rip the notice off the board, but its message was clear and hit home in the little Espurr. With determination, he waddled towards one of his favourite spots - Constance's Library.

As a general rule of thumb, those who wanted to see Espurr (admittedly, there weren't many who wanted to see him or really knew he existed) could find him in the library. He was a bit of a regular around the mazes of books, always reading if he wasn't on one of his little trips into goodness knows where. He knew Constance only as the librarian, and never bothered to get to know her - or her family - any further than he needed to. His silence was usually a giveaway that he did not wish to be disturbed.

On his way there, he noticed yet another flyer for the pokemon guild; how many of these things did whatsherface make, anyhow? Espurr picked up the crumpled sheet of paper, tottering down the path to the library in complete, resolute silence. He pondered over what he might find within the library this time.

As Espurr entered the library, he looked around in awe at all of the pokemon assembled before drifting over to the Braixen that he was searching for. Holding out both arms, he pulled the advertisement taunt and waved it around in the air with a sense of almost manic urgency; she had to understand that this time, he wasn't here for books.
The Espurr With No Name would be happy to join any group at all, so shove me wherever.

Well, that settles it. You're in, Stitches X3

Thank you very much. I'll work on an intro post now!

EDIT: I'm crippled with indecisiveness. I'm also multi-tasking, so getting the inspiration for an opening post tonight is quite difficult.

ESPURR ARRIVES TOMORROW

I've never played with a mute character and am rather weary as Kiddo seems to have strong feelings against it, however, it sounds like you have heavy developement in mind already and you're right, it does depend on the player.

I usually take part in very high casual/advanced RPs, and I've roleplayed several mute characters before in the past, with success - it all depends on the amount of description you put into a reaction.

For example, give Espurr a lemon to eat and he doesn't like lemons:

Espurr frowns after eating the lemon

Espurr seems to try and inhale his lips with the sheer sourness of the lemon, recoiling in horror and dropping the fruit onto the dusty floor. For good measure, he kicks it away from him.

Clearly, I'm sure you can see which one was clearer to interpret!

Now, as for meowstic, when he evolves he'll be able to speak, and that'll be a shocker for everyone. So it's not even permanent! Of course, that'll take a while in and of itself; you're going to have to get used to seeing Espurr as Espurr before I can even think of evolving him.

Whether or not Kiddo approves of the idea of a mute character is irrelevant until he's been able to witness it first-hand, and hopefully I'll be able to impress him.
I can see Scott and Nicki becoming good friends merely because they'll be so in-touch with each other and have a lot of empathy for each other.

Scott will have immunity against Nicki's snide remarks and cynicism (along with someone who he can talk to about Psyche addictions and how being too smart isn't always a good thing) whilst Nicki doesn't get any sexist remarks and is treated with a decent amount of respect; it'd be a mutual relationship.

Unfortunately, Nicki doesn't see the point in love, so that's a no-go.
