He watched the princess in silence like he normally did. The rough bark of the tree he was leaning against began to cut into his clothed back. The tall dark haired man crossed his arms over his chest before pushing himself away from the tree to follow after the blonde woman. He fell in step beside her but exchanged no words. It was his way to be a silent man, only speaking when he was talked to or when he felt it necessary to let his thoughts be heard. Roman knew of the princess's habits of sneaking out of the castle to explore around the human settlements; there were times when he went along with her as well. In their younger years they had gone to the human settlements countless times. A light smirk played on his lips as he watched the younger male grew confused. Hardly anyone beyond himself and the princess knew of her antics and nightly habits. Roman liked to think that he knew the blonde woman the best; after all he had been by her side the longest. The dark haired male bent at the waist as the princess pressed a kiss to his cheek so she wouldn't have to strain herself to reach his cheek. Roman was quite tall, even taller than Drake was. "Good night, Lia." Despite his distant and cold personality the way in which he spoke her voice showed so much warmth from the normally cold toned man. Roman waited until the pair was safely over the wall and a distance into the forest before following after them. On occasion he trailed after Ophelia when she thought he was doing something else, like drinking or gambling. Maybe the blonde woman knew that he did follow her and she just never brought it up. Just because he had placed a wall between them didn't mean that he cared any less for her. It was in his nature to be quite protective. Ophelia was the little lamb that he needed to guard like the dutiful shepherd he was. Roman walked quietly through the forest along the path that he knew the princess would take. --- With the night came silence that was punctuated by the occasional laughter of drunken men. Their voices carried out into the quiet street and down the block. With the night came the urgency to get home. The streets were empty save for a few staggering folks who were coming or going from the taverns. With the night came danger. With the night came the threat of becoming someone's meal. For someone like her though, the night was comforting. There was nothing for her to fear. She could not be changed, she could not join them. In some ways she welcomed death with open arms; it meant that she would be free of the stigma she carried. She was unable to get a job due to her past. It wasn't drugs or crime that did her in, it was being attacked by one of them at a young age and remaining human. Andromeda was different. She wasn't like normal humans; no one knew what she was exactly. Some rumors swirled around that she was the product of a vampire and human spending a night in passion. Some rumors swirled that she was the unholy spawn of a demon. Her dark eyes took in the abandoned sidewalk before she deemed it safe to relax. The woman sat with her back pressed against the wall of a small shop that sold fancy looking hats if the window was anything to go by. Her clothes were messy and dirty from her latest attempt at a job; ss long as she kept her neck covered and no one knew who she was then she was safe during the day. At night she was able to take off the thick band of cloth that covered her scars. It was an itchy, uncomfortable material but it did it's job at hiding what it needed to without being too thin. Her latest venture in the job market had been at one of the butcher shops. She had been handling the customers and setting the meats out on display. The cool night breeze felt wonderful on her heated and slightly sweaty skin. Maybe tonight she would be able to find a place to sleep and maybe a warm meal. She had been given some money from her job earlier thanks to the wife of the shop owner. Leaning her head back against the wall she let out a sigh and closed her eyes. It never went well when she slept. There were always nightmares of her attacker; he was always in the back of her mind, taunting her. He was dead. He wasn't going to hurt her anymore; the hunters had made sure that he was put down after attacking and killing another young kid. There had been resentment that the little 'witch' as she was often called, had survived and the other kid - a boy a few years older than her -had died. It had been seventeen years since she last stepped foot in her home town. There were times when she would see someone that she remembered passing through. They would stop and stare before calling her a name and hurrying away. She had seen the mother of the boy several times. Each time she cursed at her and yelled that it was unfair. Andi had never asked for this to happen to her; she never asked for this burden of guilt. For a few minutes she was able to sleep peacefully until the face of her attacker appeared in her mind. She jumped and looked around with hazy eyes. _Get ahold of yourself Andi. You're twenty-three years old for crying out loud! He isn't coming back to hurt you!_ She thought as she rubbed her eyes and settled back down once more on the side walk.
:3 I'll get character profiles up in a bit~
Hm...I guess I can start us off if you want to make the thread? Also did you want to keep the looks of the Atlaneans? (White/blonde hair, dark skin, blue/black eyes, tattoos)
Hm. I was thinking that the current royals, with your female out of the way, would think that the crystal would have no choice but to select them as the next stabilizing force. The current royals _do_ have some royal blood in them but it's not much though; there is no difference between the current ruler and a non-royal (as far as the crystal is concerned). They come from a small, lesser noble house who are generations from the actual royal line. It's like the difference between you and a neighbor - you might share a common ancestor hundreds or thousands of years ago but you aren't related today. :3
Got 'em up! Sorry it took so long though.

As a child she had a fairly normal childhood until the age of five-ish. It had been a laundry day down by the river when she was attacked by a rouge, who was killed a few days later by the Hunters. Within the first few hours after being attacked she developed a fever and became lethargic. For three days her parents bit their nails to bloody stubs as they waited for the worst. Once her fever broke her parents were surprised to find out that their daughter was perfectly fine, a little dehydrated and a bit sleepy but_ perfectly human_. The Hunters caught word of the girl who survived the vampire attack and were sent in to take care of the situation. Her parents hid her away with one of the family friends who hadn't thought so much into the fact that the girl had survived. Through her paternal great-grandmother she is descended from a clan of great Hunters. ![enter image description here](http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/d6/8b/12/d68b122fe494d98cc3650da458abedc6.jpg "enter image title here") Roman DeLuca 350 | Vampire bodyguard | Able to walk in daylight due to his [enchanted ring](http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/7e/ec/9e/7eec9eeb7b067bd486673cca800ee377.jpg) Roman is a simple man who doesn't need much to be happy. He is generally friendly but quiet, even when drinking or gambling with friends. He was born into a clan that served the kings of the vampire world for as long as anyone could remember. He was born and raised with one goal in mind: protect the royal family. He lived a privileged life and picked up many bad habits from his older brothers - drinking, smoking and gambling are some of his favorite past times. Roman had been introduced to the princess Ophelia in their younger years and he had a habit of teasing the girl when he could. As he grew older Roman grew more distant but remained loyal to the princess. He was trained personally by his father in order to protect the princess to the best of his abilities.
I always wondered if there was ever going to be a calendar or something for the guild. June 21st.
Oooh....I like that idea~ One thing I'd really like to include is the fact that the natives of Atlantis were gifted with longevity. 1. Your princess could keep a piece of her crystal, or since she is linked with the crystal she still has longevity on her side. After being sent to the surface she learns painfully that she isn't like everyone else (either due to her appearance due to her Atlantean heritage or the fact that she doesn't age normally). This could lead her to holding everyone at arms length throughout the ages but she meets your male and eventually they start a friendship or whatever even though she knows the outcome of such things. This not only gives us a bit more to our story but it brings in your male, who could get mixed up in everything as well. 2. I was thinking that after the deaths of the king and queen and the exile of the young princess, a new king (or queen) was chosen to rule Atlantis (since they'd need some form of a ruler). The new king/queen takes the talented young Atlantean boy as their own child and he becomes somewhat of a prince. His adoptive parent(s) gave him a slave-guard, one of mixed heritage (Atlanean and non-Atlantean) who slowly becomes the closest thing to a sister he has. His guard is chosen to accompany him to the surface in order to find the exiled princess. This is how my female would come in~ Now as far as plot things I think it'd also be kind of interesting if they only wanted the exiled princess for one thing - to bring stability back to the crystal. They know that the ones chosen to the crystal typically never return to the world of the living since they become part of the crystal itself. This does two things for us: gives motivation for not only restoring Atlantis to it's former glory but it also gives the new royal family a way to permanently end the former royal line without really having to do the dirty work. And it gives our characters a bit of conflict. My male and female know what the exiled princess if going to be used for, they just don't know that they are sending the princess to her death. They'd learn about that later since the elders of Atlantis would keep that secret from everyone and only a select few would know their true intentions. The current royal family is illegitimate and they can't send one of their own to the crystal since that person would be rejected. This gives us a bit of background with Atlantis since the current king/queen would declare that they were the true heirs to the throne but the former king and his wife stole it from them. We've got our bad guy right there...so that's all I got...
I will get my characters up soon!
I prefer to double~ (In any roleplay I end up doubling) Did you want to set this before the sinking of Atlantis or after Milo and the others visit or some time in between?
