Mmm...I'm not sure really.
So if we have the human uprising set thirty years before our plot, then he'd be about 50 or so perhaps? I'm thinking that around the age of 30 or 40 they become adults and are eligible for being elected but the humans interfered with this process and maybe he had been elected shortly before, when he was still quite young by their standards because the previous leader had been killed and no others fit the bill?

How old was your female going to be so I can kind of get an idea of how old he should be?

Mmm...I think that I'll probably plan as we go. I'm still a bit unsure about the culture of the werewolves but I do know that their leader is elected rather than it being a birth right.

I like the idea of lifespans that are longer, that way my male can already have his foot in the door as Alpha/leader. They won't live to crazy ages, perhaps a hundred years or so?

Additional:
- The oldest of the twins, as babies they were taken in by Lord Elrond due to reasons currently unknown to them. They do think of him as their father and address him as such.
- After the Ring was destroyed they lived with their sister and brother-in-law for a number of years before returning to Rivendell where their brothers announced that they were to be married off, once their future husband and wife would become of age.
Appearance:
Gailris looks fairly similar to her twin; sharing the same pale olive eye color, and the same almond shape to their eyes, lightly tanned skin tone and the habit of their smirk or smile pulling to one side above the other. Unlike her brother, Gailris’s hair is more of a red-brown, which gains a more vibrant tone when she is in the sun. Her oval shaped face is graced by freckles across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. She stands fairly tall by human standards but a bit short to the Elves.

-Being the younger of the twins and the youngest of the family, he was often doted upon.
-With the large age gap between Rhovangon, Gailris and their siblings, he often found himself with his twin more than anyone else in the family. He does have a decent relationship with his brother-in-law, and sees him as a dear friend.
Appearance:
Unlike his twin, Rhovangon has dark brown hair that is pulled into a half up, and half down style with two locks of long hair hanging in front of his ears. His face holds more masculine, angled features in contrast to the softer, more feminine features of his twin. He shares the same pale olive eyes framed by thick, dark lashes with his sister. There are many similarities in small mannerisms that they have in common above the way that they look. He lacks the freckles that his sister has but he has several small scars in their places.

That could work, the werewolves having two forms. Thirty years sounds fine. I am going to assume you wanted the werewolves to have long lifespans?

That part I am having a bit of difficulty with - I like the idea of both bi-pedal or wolf 'forms' for the werewolves. I don't know how I want them to turn either willingly or not, with the moon or not, but keeping the alchemist's potion type stuff to regulate when they can and can't under go their transitions. Just there is a lot of stuff that I want to sort out about this and I'll likely do that over the next few days if I get the chance. I've got a few family things (good things) coming up tomorrow and the day after.

I like the idea that the werewolves would be more tribal than anything else and they would come together as a whole during special occasions and holidays. I really love anthropology and learning about people who still live in tribes today really interested me and I think it'd help our story. With a tribal type of setting there is a lot more room for diversity in the werewolf communities (like names and other simple traditions) as well as giving our tyrants a bit more leverage by managing to bring down more than one of the tribes within this area and forcing the others into hiding.

One thing I'd like to try is giving the werewolves a bit of traditions rather than what we think of with werewolves. The appeal of making them different from other things with werewolves really is just something I'd like to try at least once here.
