Personality: Ferocity and strength are the driving factors which balances his appreciation for combat. Through such an encompassing presence, it's actually fairly easy to get along with Rowan. A stout believer of justice and charity, he is the one who lives through the ideals of a man of gentle in disposition yet strong in body. In fact, regardless of his initial appearance, Rowan has a very playful and carefree outlook on life, though he is very much devoted to his craft when it comes to battle and work. He could be recognized as responsible, although flimsily so. Brave, compassionate and likable young man who is said to be a demon in the battlefield. He's easily influenced by sob-stories, and could offer spear and body to any who require his help. Loyalty and truth are regarded to its highest degree by Rowan. He wishes to live a life full of wonders and one where he could live without a single amount of regret. If there's anything that Rowan appreciates more than combat is fishing, hunting, horse riding and woman. A charismatic presence, although clumsy at times, he can be recognized as a genuine soul simply looking for something that can fill his life with joy.
Brief Backstory: Rowan story is nothing out of the ordinary. Perhaps being selected to become a Knight of the Iron Roses was something which was destined for him, rather than a far of dream. He excelled at his ability with the spear, even going far enough to impress even the knight guards at his home town. Rowan grew much like the other children, somewhere in the middle of the kingdom where all you could see was perhaps a few lavished mountains, a myriad of animals and even more rules that you can account for. One or two fairy-tales about a big dragon living in the woods and how good boys should be in bed before sun-down if not a litch would take them to their dungeon. Rowan was a part of all of this. Both his parents were retired guards who later became farmers. Rowan grew with many friends and adventures, where he got a few more than deserved spankings from his mama. During those years he took up a spear, hunting with his father became a hobby. The bow and arrow were like handing a spoon to a man with no thumbs. He was clumsy and flushed every time he attempted to hit his target, but when his spear was in hand it was another story entirely.
It was almost as if he was born with it, cut to wield it to beyond perfection, he could throw it with precision and strength. Soon it became his only weapon of choice and developed for both close and mid range battle. In here, it was also where he met his first love, and where he lost her as well after a few months because he wasn't tall enough to satisfy her requirements. Only at the age of thirteen, did he realize heartbreak and how painful it was, just to get over it after realizing that there was another girl who lived a few houses away that thought he was cute. After much devotion, he applied to become a knight and grew to believe that he was destined for something greater in life, that perhaps he could do more with this gift.
This feeling was increased when somewhere during his 20th birthday he and his father were attacked in their usual run to deliver good to the nearest trade center. This was nothing out of the ordinary, regular bandits attempting to steal valuables from coming carriages. But the man who were among them held skills he felt were at par with his own. Perhaps his growth was limited, and he found himself struggling with the numbers. His father took a hit which left him partially immobile. He stumbles every now and again, leading him to search for strength.
What better way to do so than to join the Iron Roses? And as such, a dream was born.
Equipment: Plated armor with breathable chainmail for ease of movement. The plating is positioned freely across the vital areas, freeing the joints so that the soldier can utilize their athleticism without much restraint. Fairly standard spear of ebony steel weighted to his liking.
Skills: Exuberantly patient: This skill in itself might not seem like much, but it is the most critical aspect of battle. Rowan is able to steady his breathing to the point where his body becomes a single flow, all movements are with purpose and steadiness. Ready to utter the next strike without pause. With such patience, he can predict, move, react and outsmart his opponents due to his clearness of mind. Although it is not an invincible ability, one can always do much more if they are far more agile or stronger than Rowan, with such patience he has changed the outcome of battle and turn the tides before larger opponents. He becomes less exhausted as a result outlasting is also a means to gain the upper hand.
