Combat Information

Name: Yagi Shigeki
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Nationality: Karonese
Heritage: Karo

Personality: Yagi is a young firecracker looking for his next fight. He lives by his swords, and wholeheartedly believes that if you don't cross blades with a man (or lady) you can never understand their true character. Yagi is outspoken and never one to hold back, whether it be in combat or in the social setting. His lack of tact and general awareness of the feelings around him seem to make him come off as a jerk, but in actuality, Yagi is a loyal dog waiting for his next master. He takes care of those who he deems worthy, maybe not in the nicest way, but in a way he thinks is right. He is an ambitious young man who dreams of becoming the greatest swordsman alive.

Biography: Yagi Shigeki is the youngest child of the dying and fractured Shigeki clan. His clan is a traditional clan that has resisted the coming industrial age and with the phasing out of the old ways, the Shigeki clan is one of the las that still believe in the worth of steel. Yagi was raised by his father, a wandering swordsman who would never draw his blade. His father was a man of few words, and even fewer actions, but he feverishly beat the teachings and ways of their clan into a young Yagi. The man hoped to bring back the spark and love for Karo Steel within the boy, but Yagi took it a step further. It started with becoming the greatest swordsman in Karo, then Karo and Raelin, and then turned into becoming the greatest ever. Unbeknownst to Yagi, his father was once a famous soldier and divine beast slayer who left the "world" and sheathed his swords as a promise to his dying wife. He swore to never use his blades again and instead raise his only son. Yagi's childhood is a murky one, sometimes he looks back and sees his mother, but mostly it is crowded by the back of his father, the back being only the little Yagi saw most of the time. They would travel in a small circuit throughout Karo, visiting the same cities and staying in one place or another for months at a time, long enough for Yagi to think about laying roots but never long enough for him to actually do it.

During Yagi's 16th year, he and his father became even more nomadic throughout Karo, not settling down in one town for more than a week and never leaving a mess where they had been. Yagi desired more than silly sparing sessions with his father and sought out any challenger with a blade, he would challenge the best swordsman in each town they visited. Whether he walked away with a defeat or win it did not matter, Yagi believed that it is his growth in youth and his increasing strength in age, that would make him the best swordsman ever. When Yagi's father discovered his secret matches, the man was livid and threw the boy out on his own. Yagi's father agreed to train him on one condition; that he not draw his sword needlessly, and only use it with purpose. It is the Shigeki way, but Yagi blatantly broke this promise and drew his blade for self-fulfillment, not for any solid reason.

On the day Yagi left, he and his father clashed swords for the last time, ending in Yagi's sour victory and his father sweet defeat. That was the only time Yagi would not accept the title of the victor, claiming the man was not giving it his all and his father responded with; "It's time for your final lesson, now go and don't come back till you learn it. Only when you will you be strong enough to beat the real me." Yagi left that day, know that his old man had one in more ways than one and set out to wander the lands on his own, challenge who he wanted and live his own way while staying true to his sword. From then on Yagi began what he calls the "pilgrimage" and wanders to different lands in search of worthy opponents and to learn his father final lesson. The question is not whether he will discover what it is, its whether he will come to accept it.

-COMBAT-
Level: 25
Class: Dual Samurai- A special form of the samurai class the wield two swords and not one. Instead of using heavy armor, and slow powerful attacks, the dual samurai chooses a lighter armor and focuses on switching between one and two-handed techniques. The attacks are still devastating but lack the same focus a single bladed samurai, instead, the dual samurai opts for keeping his enemy guessing and catching them off guard.

  • Broken Bushido: Yagi has two stances: One-handed, and dual wield. When Yagi is in his one-handed stance he increases his speed stats by 2, but when he is in his dual-wield stance he increases his defense by 2 and his mind by 1.
  • Shigeki's Raging Swordsman: When fighting melee enemies, Yagi loses a point in defense and strength and adds on point to his mind and speed.
  • Queen's Rage, Dove's Embrace: The spirits that live within Yagi's blades are known as Queen and Dove. Queen, as her name suggest, is a powerful spirit that grows jealous quite easily when it comes down to Yagi, especially when he uses Dove. In his dual stance, Queen's anger boils over and the heat from the blade has a chance of burning his enemies. Dove is a gentle spirit that seeks to calm Queen and embrace Yagi, in his dual stance Dove's embrace is ice to the touch and if Yagi is low on health attacks on him begin to freeze his enemies.

SKILLS

Techniques:

  • Stance switch[DEX2]- Yagi swithces from using one blade two using two, after swtching his defense drops by 50% for one post.
  • Slash[S4]-His basic horizontal or vertiacal slash, that can be done in both forms.
  • Cross-Out[S5]- Can only be done in his dual stance, Yagi slashes with both of his in an "X" motion across a part of his enemies body.
  • Iaido Cuter[SS4]- Can only be done in his one-handed stance, Yagi dashes forward and does a vertical slash using the Iaido method.
  • Dance of the Lilly[S6]- Requires dual stance, starting with Queen, Yagi slahses in a random direction and then follows with Dove in the oppisite direction. This creates a barage of steel the is meant to pin his enemy.
  • Dance of the Sunflower[S6]-Yagi uses Queen to quickly slash and cut his enemies in a diagonal direction, the dance lacks real devistating power but can repetidly hit up to 5 times in the same spot, increasing damge eachtime. Can only be done in his one-handed stance.
  • Dance of the Chrysanthemum[D6]- Yagi usues this dance to counter and block any incoming technique to an ally or himself using both his swords in one post. If he did nto block himself then he is still open to be hurt, and he cannot use this dance or Fire and Ice Sheild for at least one post.

Spellbook:

  • Cloak of Flame, Chilled Wing[M4]-Yagi cloaks Queen in fire and chills Dove, hardening the blade and increasing its sharpness, for 2 post this adds 10% extra damage to his techniques dual techniques.
  • Fire Sword[M5]-Yagi tightly wraps the flames made by Queen around the blade and increases its range and damage by 10% for one posts.
  • Fire and Ice Sheild[MD5]-A defesive technique that requies Yagi to use the elements of both his swords to block an incoming attack, can only be done in the dual stance, and it only halves the damge recived. Can be used to protect him or an ally.
  • Queen's Wails[M3]-A wave of fire projected after a slash with Queen, it is thickly layered in hot fire that burns and scorches.
  • Dove's Pecks[M3]- Similar to Queen's Wails, but instead of fire it is a think wave of sharp ice, that chills and freezes.

Limit Break:

  • Dance of the Magnolia[SS10]-Using his dual stance, delivers fast and power strikes to the target, seemingly from random directions, it is hard to block or predict.
  • Dance of the Lotus[SD10]-The one-handed version of the Magnolia, Yagi keeps the chaos and randomness of the techniques, but draws back on the speed and replaces it with the old-fashioned traditional single blade samurai precision and power.
  • Steamed Yarrows[SM15]-Pressing both blades together creates a field of steam that consumes Yagi and three others, causing damage to all caught in it. Yagi then proceeds to use an enhanced version of his blades elements to quickly take down the enemies within the field.
  • Sunset Limited[SM20]-Queen release a large burst of heat and fire, that completely consumes the blade, with a single slash a giant wave of fire trails towards enemies and consumes them. Can hit up to three targets.

Opportunity:

  • Wandering Swordsman's Challenge-When there is another Samurai swordsman in the battle, Yagi has an option to challenge said swordsman to a 1 on 1 duel. The duel is completely separate from the main fight, outcome/actions within said fight do not affect his allies or enemies.
  • Asura's Reposte- When Yagi and his team are outnumbered by at least 1 enemy, he becomes enraged and attacks first every round of post until they are no longer outnumbered or the fight is over. This skill stays in effect until the teams are even or he and his allies outnumber the enemy.
  • Shigeki's 52 Flower Dances-If Yagi uses three different dance in one battle, the next will be at random and at no cost. Following his third dance, his next attack has to be the fourth dance and it is at random (when I say random, I mean it will be chosen by the GM.)

Location: Washington Square
Interacting With:No one at the moment

The day had been dragging on slowly for Milo. He woke up early in the morning with a quiet yelp, the nightmares that haunted his dreams visited him on a daily now. They used to only come around the anniversary of those special events, but now his death is on a constant loop within his mind, the years he spent drowned in blood prance around his reticular activating system, and the faces of each person he killed live behind his eyelids. Milo knows that he still has a problem when it comes down to feeding but its not as bad as it was before he came to America. The only reason he came was because of his “father”, and ironically it was his old man who tried to educate him on the finer points of death and killing. Milo never really took the things the elder said to heart, he knew the old man had one two many screws loose and need some help but that was still the man who helped him in his time of need and the boy would forever be grateful for that.

Thanks to that same man he lived in a lovely home, in the suburban area of Salem, that had a lot of history. Mathias left it to Milo, saying it belonged to a “good friend” and Milo was honored to receive such a gift. He has been living here for the past 2 years in peace, running around with George (his coven leader) and some for the other young vampires in his coven. There were 5 of them, all under the age of 120, and they looked out for one another. Milo has traveled a lot and seen many different kinds of people, and the only safely offered was by the elder he claimed loyalty too. Especially in the vampire society, age seemed to be a powerful thing, age was something that demanded respect, age is what makes or breaks you in the long run when it comes down to your fellow vampire (at least in Milo’s eyes).

For example, the first time Milo met George and told him his age, George immediately treated Mmilo as if he was some second rate citizen who didn’t pay taxes and then went on to assume the boy would join his little gang. Now Milo did end up in his little group but the boy was never shy to remind them of their differences, Milo told George that he could and would kill them if it came down to it, and George respected that. George was one of the few who saw Milo for what he truly was, not a young vampire still high off the thought of immortality, no Milo was a 90 year old vampire who was trapped neck deep in his own vices. Milo was a young vampire who had done, seen, and experienced more than George could even fathom in his 120 years of existence. Milo was his ally, not his friend, Milo was a member of his coven, not his sworn blood brother, and if he deemed it necessary, Milo would kill him.

Milo’s demeanor, his actions, thought process, all stems back to one of the men who haunts his thoughts, Mathias. The young one can deny Mathias all he wants, but those who catch the other side of him or even stare into his eyes for too long, can clearly see the Elder vampire. It was this very man, among many, that haunted his thoughts and stretched out his day. It was visions of his old master that caused him to not sleep and simply drink away what blood he had left in reserves before getting ready for the celebration that night. George had asked Milo to help out at their booth, what it was for Milo did not know nor did he care, fresh blood would be in the streets and it was a rare opportunity to be able to hunt with little chance of getting caught.

The sun was set by the time arrived and took up his position at the “Blood Drive” booth. Hs “friends”, thought it would be a good inside joke, and maybe pick up some willing donors along the way. Milo had been playing his part well, wearing the mask of friend and a young boy all throughout the night. On the side he had been sizing up good victims and trying to avoid George’s stare, the older vampire knew what he was doing, he knew all about Milo’s “habits” and had voiced his displeasure more than once. Milo was not in the mood for another lecture, the night was young, moon was out and food was practically giving itself away on two legs he just wanted to enjoy himself tonight.

He took note of all the other supernaturals attending, it was in the feeling a person gave off. Some were warmer than others, while some would send chills down his spine, Milo learned early on that only the trained could identify who was what. But there was something was in the air, it promised an eventful night and no matter how much Milo thought about it he could not decipher what the dread was, or who it was coming from.

I happened slow, like a sandstorm in the distance. The first scream, then screams, the running, then the toppling, the smell of blood that turned into a permeating odor. Wolfs had began to attack, it started with a single girls cry for help, but now she was in the middle of the square with three other women. Milo was at the booth with George, they both watched frozen in shock as the girl screamed over and over, it was the wolf’s snarl that brought them back to reality. Milo and George dashed to the center of the square as the man on stage began to speak about offering “answers” at the church. He and George had no idea where the other 3 had gone off too, and by the grim look on George’s face Milo could only assume the worst.

“You know they are probably dead right. I mean look around, they probably wandered off to feed of some helpless girl and ended up getting mauled by the wolves.” Milo said letting his true colors show for a moment and his french accent come in thick, he felt like it was appropriate considering the circumstances.

“Of course I know it's a possibility, but they are one of us and I trust in their skills. Plus they still have us if all else fails.” George said with a slimmer of hope in his voice and a fierce fire brewing in his eyes. Milo only responded with a shrug and looked away at the flashing lights and running figures around him. The sound gunshots still echoed off the building and people screaming rang out here and there, all the while Milo could only sigh and think about how fucked this night was. He crouched down and let out a frustrated sigh, mumbling "Enfoncer l'enfant" under his breath with a shake of his head.

”Flick...flick...flick”

Milo’s lighter sounded out back and forth, it was not much over the noise but to the keen of hearing it would be quite annoying. Milo was frustrated and at the moment this was the only thing he could do to sate it. He was trapped at the moment with a hopeful fool who looked as if he wanted to run out into that madness and take Milo with him. All Milo wanted to do was drink, and go home, but now he had to settle for finding a way to put out that glimmer of hope in George’s heart.
