Oh no holds barred, Sol is going to be psyched to maim, murder, screw, or marvel in illustrious drug fueled wonder at anything that gets between his cold hard cash and his "target." Or messes with his cigar. Bad mistake.
Herr Doktor Sleepless reporting. Those shrieky girls you left behind are in sync. Everything buzzing, whirring, dialing up as they connect themselves. See what she sees, feel what she feels, all while the bzzt, rrrnnt, eerrneet, meeeeen moans on like so much terrible internet. These gels will do anything for a cheap fix. Let me mix and match you baby doll.

Interested. Will keep my dial up consciousness wired.
Alright while I was writing up a character sheet I completely changed my mind. A perpetual cigar smoking mercenary/detective, color blind, and drug addict (hallucinogens) who takes up contracts to track down missing persons in the No Name City. Lost a relative? Wife run off with the dentist? Human trafficking waylaid your teenage daughter/son? Call Solomon Firenz. Kidnappers rescued, hostages slain. No job too easy, no price too high.

@Traps
Alright I have the a rough idea that I am considering here and checking it against GM. I want to make a CIA Analyst who is at her core a science fiction/fantasy geek. She reads too many sci-fi novels home alone and thinks it would be awesome if monsters really did exist. In her spare time she uses CIA resources to collect data on "sightings" and "encounters" much like a conspiracy theorist. No real connection to the occult or real things that go bump in the night. I am torn on what might make her a seemingly ideal recruit, are the PC's going to be together as a group? I don't precisely believe in photographic memory so I rule that out immediately but I do want to present her as naive yet very intelligent.

Her particular decay naturally, via what I am gathering from the game mechanic, will be that she either becomes truly enamored of the dark places and be a useful character. Or she will be pushed to the breaking point.

I bought a novel and downloaded the game setting in order to get a fuller understanding of the feel so my apologies if I am not grasping the concept completely yet.

Name: Dr. Symacchus Metoros

Species: Pre-accident (Kyrema) Currently: Data

Age: 188

Sex: Pre-accident (Male)

Appearance: No longer consequential as Sym has no corporeal form.

History: (In progress. Trying to do some fine tuning on the circumstances.)

Personality: Dr. Metoros quite enjoyed the variety of locales he was able to travel amongst when he still had a body. Ever the constant cartographer Symacchus enjoyed hand drawing maps of the systems and planets he would visit in service to the Vanguard as a Lifekeeper. Now as a being made of pure data he still enjoys exploring and seeing new planets the trip is just a bit more convoluted.

Allegiance: Vanguard Lifekeeper (R&D Bio-Chemistry)

Personal Effects: As intangible and nonsensical as it may seem Sym stores and collects data just as he did before his accident. Creating maps and a personal database on the creatures and places he travels too is still a constant obsession. Storing his data in "borrowed" storage across many interfaces throughout his existence.

Other: Naturally one might assume being a sentient dataform, or Infomorph, in such a technologically advanced society would be either terribly hard or frighteningly easy. The answer is both. In many cases moving throughout the readily available public tech and knowledge is not only allowable but encouraged. AI naturally is not unknown but this is not to be confused with Symacchus. At one point he was a male Kyrema in service to the Vanguard, not a carefully crafted construct or massive server driven entity. His ability to move throughout interlinked tech is quite expansive the moral and legal implications however is a line that he must toe carefully. Only a few Vanguard officers know of the Dr's accident and existence and Sym is perfectly happy with that. He still serves the Vanguard and Collective by providing intelligence and in depth research when required.
Have subbed will post the rough draft of the infomorph CS sometime this afternoon. That way I'll have time to fine tune just how that happened. @Perpenheimer
No problem I will go sub that one. @Perpenheimer
People live and die by their idiosyncratic ways I think if I can't verbally jujitsu my characters through a situation then fate dictates they die. I'll start writing a loose backstory.
@Traps definitely into this vibe so far. Look forward to this getting started. I am thinking of playing a philosophical killer who is bound by his own superstition. The stages of the moon, not a good night for death. The 15th of the month? A stabbing naturally. Etc... What do you think?
