Premise

The idea of this role play is that each player starts out as a leader of a small group of survivors. By giving orders to your group members, each day you have to send out people to build/repair your base, scout new areas, scavenge food, recruit new survivors etc. Success rate will depend on character roles, stats and dice throw. your characters will have perma-death over time. Random events like zombies' hoard will occur on dice throws as well. Clashing within groups can initiate fights, negotiations, or trades.

Anyone interested? :)

On contrary to most psychopaths, Richard was not a good talker. He knew that he would stammer with words if he were to engage in lengthy arguments. After outbreak: Richard fractured his lower left leg and needed time for recovery. He also suffered a series of amnesia as a result of the shopping mall incident.

▪ Fears ▪
Before outbreak: Almost fearless, Richard was a logical emotionless monster. He thought that deaths would eventually occur to everyone and there was nothing to be fear about.
After outbreak: He feared that he would no longer remember who he was... little did he know that he would live in a greater fear if he found out about the person he used to be.

▪ Background ▪
Before Outbreak:
Growing up in a rather literate family, Richard easily finished his university first class as an English major. He took a job as a part-time high school teacher but quitted months later as he found out that he was not that fond of social interactions. He started writing online and earned himself a living.

Secretly, Richard was a psychopath serial killer. He never knew why he did it. It just grew on him. As a rather handsome looking man, women would try to hook him up whenever he went to nightclubs or bars to drink. He never liked the attention. He thought that they were pretentious and fake. As a result, he always lured his victims to a motel and killed them.

As an online mystery writer, Richard had a great knowledge in crimes, firearms, and police procedures. This is what helped him to commit the perfect crimes. He knew at least a hundred of ways to dispose evidence and keep a low profile. he had a lot of connections with criminal groups and also law enforcers to help him with his story ideas. This was how he met his close friend Rick Lincoln.

Richard was a quiet man and preferred his time alone. He lived independently in an apartment in Brooklyn and had few actual friends. During his free time, he would workout at the gym or have a swim in his apartment pool. Other times, he would go to the local shooting range to practice on targets or even hunt in the wild. He has a shotgun license and a hunting license. He believed that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind, which would aid him in his mystery writing. Richard also liked to go to the local cafe and spend his time reading novels and online stories. He enjoyed the atmosphere of a quiet place with the smell of caffeine. Richard cooked well and had some basic knowledge in fixing things. He lived well on his own.

During Outbreak:
Richard’s close friend, Rick Lincoln was an NYPD police officer of the 28th Precinct Division in Brooklyn. He was suspicious of his friend’s recent activities and after a month of private investigation, He found out concrete evidences that Richard was the murderer behind a series of brutal killings of young women. He lured Richard out to the local shopping mall and confronted him. They had a big fight within the shopping mall when Rick attempted to take Rick into custody after Rick refused to submit himself.

Just then, a truck swarmed with undead swirled into the shopping mall crashing into columns of walls, causing the mall to collapse. Debris dropped on the floor, overloading the latter and causing it to collapse as well. Along with hundreds other shoppers, Richard and Rick fell through the ground onto the parking lot. Rick was killed immediately by a large falling ceiling debris, while Richard fell unconscious, with his left leg stuck under a fallen piece of concrete.

After Outbreak:
He woke up in the car park several hours later. He could not remember anything, including who he was. There was nothing but a ten dollar bill in his pocket, but he realized that there was something in his left hand. It was a mechanical watch with the name "Rick" carved behind it.

@LordofthePies I'm planning for the amnesia guy to protect her here. xD Also yeah, "Rick" is having a temporally graded (not permanent) retrograde amnesia (I looked up the condition). It happened after the shopping mall's floor collapsed suddenly. The abrupt change in acceleration and deceleration could induce a traumatic brain injury called diffuse axonal injury (DAI). DAI is hard to detect because of its nature. He will have a chance to eventually recover though. It takes time and therapy.
As to how to use the points earned, I'm thinking of a skill tree or things you can buy
Every person will be a detective, and also a murder mystery writer.

This is how it works:

1. On each weekend, participants will post a new mystery case and choose which case(s) they want to solve.
2. By the end of the week they will have to submit a case report to the GM stating as detailed as possible regarding their investigation. Case reports will be posted in IC after solutions are posted.
3. Points will be awarded to each gumshoe on how well they do in the cases. For example for correctly identifying the:
    a. Motive
    b. Means
    c. Opportunity
    d. Murderer

4. Points will also be awarded to murder mystery writer through survey on how good (based on how interesting it is) their mysteries are.
5. You may choose to stop for a week or two by telling the GM beforehand.
6. You may choose as many cases to solve or write as many cases as you want, but if you are participating make sure to at least choose one case to solve.

Theme and Role-Play

1. There is no lore or background setting, so you are free to set your mystery in a fantasy/sci-fi/horror/etc themes.
2. CS can be created per case, or reused whichever suit your case. Lore-friendly is not the main concern here, but you may want to stay immersive.
3. As an investigator you may role-play your investigation process, or you can simply post a case report at the end of the week.
4. As a mystery writer you may choose to reveal clues slowly over the week or even interact with the participants (if you can handle the workload), or you can post the solution all at once.
5. Cooperative mode: if a case is too hard you may choose to team up as well. You may even set up a detective agency and get it going as cases come.

Anyone interested? Looking for a Co-GM as well

Jess!

A quick thought flashes through his mind as he turns and looks around frantically;
but her daughter is no where to be found.
Someone must be watching him.

I must've been paranoid, he sighed as he finishes the shitty drink he has been ordering since the bar first opened. Weeks of insomnia ever since his daughter's disappearance has started to weaken his mind.

On second thought, maybe I should have a little chat with our new friend here. He might have information on Jessy.

He stands up and approaches the medtech. @Tenslashsix
Can't resist not joining a zombie rp xD

Will write a background story on how the trio gets together and depends on each other.
