People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Thoris, Lark's Chambers

Prophecies never lie!

Lark yawned loudly as two of the individuals questioned his words. "If you don't help us out, the entire world might fall into peril! This Krunk Legion, those little guys, they've been going across the world and doing something very odd to every person they can get their hands on, they're a menace! If you don't help me out, you'll be letting thousands of people fall prey to their evil!" He urged, jumping from his chair and moving about the room erratically. "Or something like that," He added on silently, snickering to himself.

Thanks for the compliment, sport!

"Right! Mole-men, you are dismissed!" Lark called out, waving the moles off. They all bowed and left hastily. "A prophecy, kiddo! My most powerful star reader told me that we would find strong allies in Newjinsland on the day of Krunk's attack! Fortunately, she wasn't wrong about the day this time, ahaha!" Lark explained, waving his hands around joyfully. "My moles were ordered to pick out the toughest looking fellars at that there 'royal jamboree' or whatever the hell they were calling it. You 3 fit the bill perfectly!.. Dunno why you brought a fox though," Lark quipped, pointing at maple with a scowl.
Yami stopped shooting forward as Abigail dodged his attack, but didn't stop spinning. Instead, he prepared to follow after her again, but in the last moment, he felt something hard striking against the back of his shell just as he was within a few feet of toppling Abigail over with his Kame~Kame Shredder. The impact stopping his spinning entirely, but he wasn't about to give up despite the cracks in his shell getting longer and wider. Zypha's blade hadn't penetrated his shell just yet! With a loud roar, he pushed his hands out of his shell, and grabbed onto Zypha's scythe in the nick of time, allowing the blades to cut into his hands ever so slightly. He wasn't able to move after that though, which was made obvious when his body hit the ground. He popped his head out at Abigail and smiled wide, desperate to discourage her at that point. "GO AHEAD, BRAT. SHOCK US!"

Whoa, sweet digs bro

The group was brought through the tunnels, until they became wider and wider. Finally, when the tunnels were almost 15 feet wide, they opened into a large underground cavern filled with trees, houses, and small rivers that lead towards an open wall. Through that wall, which was large enough to open about a 3rd of the cavern's walls, the ocean could be seen for miles. The moles lead Ainra, Jenso, and Reily through the little city until they reached the biggest tree in town. But it was hollow! Inside the tree, the four were lead to the highest room, where a large green door carved from a rare type of wood was standing. "Lark inside, you see him now," One mole said, opening the door for them. Inside, a man with long blonde hair turned and smiled at them, waving as he sat in a throne like a child, with his legs wrapped over one armrest, and his back rested against the other.

"Welcome to Thoris, heroes!"

HOW IS THAT A VEHICLE???

Eleanor followed the Krunk legion to the best of her abilities, eventually finding out that the group of round soldiers had loaded the prisoners into a massive, ball-like vehicle that was nearly 60 feet tall! It looked like they hadn't noticed her yet, being too concerned with preparing to take off.

It seems that the vehicle had two major entrances on either side, one where they loaded the prisoners, and one where they loaded the Krunk soldiers.
@Queentze What Jenso said.
Alright fellars, we're bumping the post expectations to once-per-week [soon to become even shorter]. After this point, I'll be bumping off characters. If you're being held back by another poster, this may not apply to you. If you have a legible reason for not posting, relay it to me.

reasons I won't accept:

-Too busy [Don't lie to me. There's a difference between being too busy, and not having the energy/drive to post]
-Didn't feel like it [Um]
-ALIENS [SHHHHH]
-Anything relating to "I forgot" will be met with "Too bad"

Pardon me, but I would like to get things moving at a relatively decent pace, regardless of whether this loses us RPers or not.

For those of you who've lost a deal of interest, please either TELL ME so that I can make the strides to recapture your attention, if necessary, or LEAVE. I'm not going to eat you or hold it against you either way.
Alex Teixeira

By the time that Ethan was confronted by a haphazardous bow-woman, Alex was far out of ear-shot, already scanning the run-down housing complexes along the opposite side of the road. There were several that looked suitable at a first glance, but they couldn't find refuge in a house that sported massive gaps in the walls, or a series of structural fatalities. The last thing anyone needed was to wake up with a support beam lodged deep into their gut, or a party of walkers feasting on their flesh. Not to mention, with more than ten people in their group, it would be wise to pick out one of the larger houses. Fortunately, a relatively roomy white house caught Alex's attention, standing out among all the others with boarded up windows. Somebody must have of lived in there at some point, which meant it was structurally sound, at the very least. Alex crept his way through the overgrown yard, avoiding the cobwebs to the best of his ability, and making his way towards the door as quickly as he could. Before reaching the front door though, a noise echoed past the confines of the houses's walls, seeping through the cracks as nothing more than a high pitched chatter. Crying? Was there a baby in there? Alex crept slower now, shifting his eyes from the ground, to the cobwebs, to the front door, weary of spiders and centipedes, more so than being held at gunpoint. His rationale finally kicked in though. Alex pulled his pistol from his jacket's inner pocket, and held it firmly with both hands, aimed at the door. But a woman's voice spoke up, just loud enough for him to hear. He loosened his grip and the muscles in his face tensed up.

Alex was subject to an angry threat. He stopped in his tracks for a moment, snapping a small twig near the set of three steps that lead up to the door. Part of him was eager to interlope, despite the danger that might have followed, but what chances were that that this woman would actually shoot him? Who knew, it was too early to discern anything. If only he had a little more to go off of. "I ehm- uh, I'm sorry," He croaked, holding his weapon aimed directly at the door. If this woman intended to shoot him, he wasn't about to sit there and take it like a fool. Perhaps he should've just left the woman to stew in her anger. That would've been the smart thing to do, but with a baby involved, the situation may have been too much for Alex to simply walk away from. Without him and his group, this woman would sure die, along with her child.

Krunklets... Assemble?

The last krunklet's thick armor made it difficult to harm him at all, but the slash sent him flying into a nearby battalion of his fellow soldiers, knocking them aside and dazing every last one. The Krunklite turned to Eleanor who had gracefully face-planted the stage, somewhat conflicted on how to proceed. "Dr. Krink! Watch out!" The black armored soldier shouted to the golden soldier-doctor. Dr. Krink turned from his podium and fall backwards in fear, rolling onto his feet on the opposite edge of the stage.

"F-F-Forget her! Bring the captured civilians to the Krunk-Mobile! It's time to retreat!" Krink shouted. The Krunklite hesitantly nodded and ran off. If Eleanor were to look down from the stage, she would see a large array of captured civilians shoved into bags, and being pulled out of town.

Mole Tunnels

Go! Now!

"No time for question!" One of the mole men shouted, yanking Jenso and Reiley away by the collars of their shirts in an almost comedic fashion. "Need bring you to Lark! He know what do!"

Ainra's struggling was worthwhile, and the mole-man was quick to release he from her bag-prison. But with all her thrashing about, her savior was ultimately harmed, receiving quite the hearty bonk on the head. But before she could aid him, he urged her to follow his friend, Jenso, his fox friend, and Reiley.

The wrecked ATV

Yvette made her way over to Onweer and patted her on the shoulder confidently, muttering the words 'nice work' with an ounce of regret. Something told her that compliments would go straight to the girl's head. The last thing Yvette wanted was an ego to put up with. Especially with Luke standing 15 feet away. Shortly after the snake's defeat though, there was a standstill throughout the crowd. What in the world were they to do now? A look of utter confusion crossed Yvette's face. Her mouth hung open, lost for orders or explanation on what'd just happened.

"I got this one, doll," Luke grunted, clearing his throat and straightening his posture, as if he was about a give some kind of speech. Oh no...

"Great effort everyone! Especially you there, Girly," Luke pointed at Onweer and granted her one quick nod, before spinning back around to the Divers and Junkers that looked for safety on the surrounding rocks. "Quick thinking, lot'so wit and, er..." Luke paused and turned back to Yvette, who was glaring at him in sheer disbelief. Luke ran his right hand through his hair and huffed a generous breath of air. What a humiliating display, and he hadn't even gotten started yet.

"If you're quite done with that, I'd ask that we respectfully agree on a clear stalemate. Wouldn't you- No, of course you wouldn't," Yvette spat, quickly clasping her right shoulder as a pang shot through her arm. Luke looked around again, a little lost for words. This certainly wasn't how things were supposed to go. People were supposed to die, and he didn't recall a damn snake anywhere in the schematics of his plans. "Or would you rather have more blood spilled-"

"Yea yea, I got it Evee, shut your mouth already. Jeez, it's always a fucking hassle with you." Luke turned away from her, somewhat disturbed by what she'd just said, or was it because of what he'd just said? He cleared his throat and rose his hands into the air. "Oi, if you hadn't noticed, this has turned into a complete cluster fuck, so uh. Yea, we're done here," He announced, turning to Jenso and shrugging. His expression sunk for a moment, as if you say 'well we tried!' in the most aloof way possible. Yvette's eyes were wide since she'd been told to shut up, and didn't shrink back to their state of seemingly infinite fatigue until he'd finished.

"Onweer please, if you would be so kind as to gather our soldiers and reassure them of their safety. I've little energy to do either, right now," Yvette whispered to Onweer, patting he shoulder assuredly. She then glanced at Karida irritably from atop the ATV, before heading towards the hatch herself. Luke frowned and jumped off the giant wreck, approaching Jenso.

"Good moves there, flame-boy. You've got a lotta courage on those shoulders! I gotta learn your name," Luke said softly to Jenso. It came off as a little rude, but the famous Diver never did bother to memorize a person's name until they'd impressed him. Luke then turned his attention to Cecil, who'd made his way over to the wrecked ATV on his own. "Sorry about the uh... Yea," Luke called out, waving one of his hands at Cecil dismissively. "No hard feelings!"

Diver's Paradise

Northern Gate

"Focus your efforts on the supports! Bring this cave to th-" The officer's speech was cut off abruptly as a whizzing bolt of arcane energy sliced through his throat, nearly separating his head from his shoulders. Nearby CMAS mages turned to him momentarily, only to witness a fountain of blood gushing from his jugular before he fell to his knees and crashed against the ground, immobile. Most of the soldiers disregarded it and headed towards one of the 4 main support pillars that held Diver's paradise together. If two or three of those things came down, this little respite would be no more than a coffin for a collection of defeated ideals.

Near the center of Diver's paradise, between both of the entrances and two of the supporting pillars, Tinon was overlooking the entire battlefield from inside his residence, tapping into the minds of the Divers that found themselves deadlocked within. "272 divers, 800 CMAS officials," He murmured to himself. "It seems that our hopes lie in Luke's quick return." Tinon's wife, and Luke's sister, Laura Juuno, was already channeling a message to her brother across the vast expanse of no-man's land that divided them. "He won't be able to clear that distance quick enough, darling," Tinon urged, moving across his bedroom towards Laura. She jerked away from his touched and glared at him angrily.

"I will not sit here and leave my brother ignorant!"
On second though, I think I'm going to have to drop out. Unfortunately I've become very disconnected with the goings-on relatively quickly. Apologies. ^^'
