Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Welcome to the crew bruh
Tesh Yama

Redorchard

Sure enough, once Tesh stopped to catch his breath, the line started moving. The unusually large gathering starting pouring into the building near the line's head, one after another, like clockwork. It seemed the line was moving up three people at a time. Only three? Tesh scoffed after the second shift in position, impatiently eyeing the kids ahead of him. The taller girl stood out a little more than most. She looked to be around his age, a little older than most of the others in front of them. The tiny one however...

Tesh's head twitched backwards when she glanced back at him. What? He thought, huffing one last time. She seemed awfully fidgety, but far from unsociable. Then again, Tesh wasn't very interested in making conversation with any of these amateurish daydreamers. They probably didn't even know what a sub-punch strategy was. He glared at the small girl irritably, but said nothing. The line started moving again, Tesh following closely behind the minuscule girl in front of him.

"Oh yes! You three! Come in come in eughguhguhuh!"

Tesh cringed and shielded his mouth from the disgusting little man's spew. Whatever. It wasn't going to discourage him from walking forward with a confident grin. He kept his distance from the allergy inclined little gremlin and made his way towards one of the terminals, Ignoring Bruce's offers to help. He didn't need it. These terminals were fairly self-operating, for the most part. It was a shame that professor Ficus was out, though. Tesh was looking forward to seeing her. Oh well.

[REGISTER]

Tesh nodded silently to himself and tapped at the terminal methodically.

TESH YAMA

AGE: 18
SEX: M
HEIGHT: 6'... 6' 1/8"!
WEIGHT: 175 lbs

[IS THIS CORRECT?]

6' 1/8...? He must have grown. Machines usually don't lie, after all. With another tap or two, he confirmed the details and awaited a response from the brightly lit screen.

CALCULATING...

YOUR POKÉMON IS... MEOWTH

Tesh smiled a little too widely, quickly concealing his joy. A meowth was the perfect pokemon for him. A misunderstood little rascal with the potential to ebb class and refinement. In battle, there were few equals to its mischievous nature and unpredictable, yet perfectly coordinated style of attack. They made good companions outside of battle too, but most Meowth were simply made for confrontation. He awaited eagerly for the machine's next question...

[WILL YOU GIVE MEOWTH A NAME?]

"Kaz," Tesh muttered to himself, typing the name in promptly. Kaz, named for his uncle's Purloin, a fierce pokemon that only faltered against the elite four themselves. It was the perfect name. "K-A-Z.." And it was done. Tesh awaited his pokeball with a passion growing near the pit of his stomach. Truth be told though, that was just hunger.

He'd skipped breakfast for this.

Krunk Fortress, Lobby

HELLLLP!!

General horns shuddered in place for a moment, frozen by fear. Or was it something else? "P-P-PILLOWS?" From one of the nearby doors, a second larger Krunklet crashed into Horns' side and launched him across the room, toward Ainra, impaling the dragon-lady on the general's horns. The second Krunklet was then underneath Zerraf's rapier, replacing his earlier victim. His face however, was completely covered by his helmet, leaving no holes or visors for him to see through. Oh his helmet, instead of horns, or a spike, there was a tiny trumpet decal, and two little ear-holes on either side.

"Woah-oh-ho-ho! Funk's on the scene!" The new soldier sung right after pin-balling Horns away. He was wearing standard-iron ball-armor from the looks of it, but his arm-guards were similar to Horns', apparently packing some sort of unique mechanic. Horns pushed his head off of Ainra's body and turned to General Funk.

"THESE PIPSQUEAKS ARE MINE, FUUNNNNK!"

"Hey-oh-ho-ho! What use is a trio of Generals if you don't use them? Innit that right, spike?" As Funk spoke, the giant gate leading into the courtyard creaked open, showing a third larger-than-life Krunklet approaching from afar. His helmet has a single spear-like spike that protruded nearly 2 feet off of his head, and his armor was a shimmering golden hue.

Horns stomped the ground and grunted like a child. "FINE, FINE, FINE! THEN WE'LL JUST, UH... COMPETE?" He insisted, not fully sure of his suggestion. Funk, laying leisurely on his back, suddenly sprung towards Zerraf, knocking his Rapier aside with his helmet.
I like not being able to switch too much, but I also think pokemon switching in-and-out should be allowed sometimes. It allows a more dynamic sort of feel at times.

No meta-stuff like in legit pokemon games tho.

Thunk!

The top of Tesh's head collided with his overhead shelf as he pushed himself closer to his bed frame. A collection of inert pokeballs and miniature pokemon knickknacks rolled and tumbled onto his lap from above. "Uncle Fredrick!" He shouted, too drowsy to stop a couple of pokeballs from rolling off his bed and onto the ground. The sound of plastic striking hardwood echoed in tandem with his uncle's footsteps scrabbling up to the second floor.

"Darnit, I'm sorry kiddo! It's already past 9!" Fredrick's elderly wheezing met Tesh long before his old uncle was peering at him from the bottom of his bedroom's banister. Tesh looked at his uncle's practically reflective forehead and snapped back into motion. I'm late!

Like a raging Rhyhorn desperate to escape a rock slide, Tesh barreled down the stairs with his waist-bound pouch in tow, packed with a potion, and 500 pokedollars as per his grandfather's generosity. I'd give yeh more, kiddo, but my medicine.. Tesh shook the idea that he was under-supplied, shooting his uncle a look of confidence before crashing out of the front door. I'm sure you would, gramps. I'm sure you would.

The pathways were mostly free of children playing this morning. What luck! Tesh thought, not slowing his pace in the least. No traffic was good... Right? Wrong. It didn't take him long to get to Professor Ficus' lab, but what awaited him was nothing short of a disaster. That line-up was huge. He knew that every kid in town with a passion for pokemon would be here, but this? This was insane! If only he'd arrived an hour earlier like he'd planned... Bah, it was too late to waste time on regret. His uncle had a hard night, working his way through coughing fits as his favorite show, safari showdown, was canceled. Poor old guy. He'd show him a new form of excitement though! When his uncle next saw him, Tesh would be the Huji pokemon Champion.

As he approached the end of the line, Tesh slowed his pace to a crawl, and stopped hard behind a tiny girl, who'd been facing a girl with headphones standing just in front of her. He hadn't heard any of what the two were talking about, nor did he care. Tesh was too preoccupied with the idea that his lungs might explode if he didn't catch his breath. He tried to compose himself, breathing deeply and latching onto his waist. Not too late, thank heavens.

Changing Tesh's weight from 160'lbs to 175'lbs. Just realized that 160 for 6 ft is bordering on anorexic.
Rings of Fate

The lands of Nexicon are flooded with a plethora of different entities, ranging from ridiculous and goofy, to meticulous and heartless. The infinite array of races spanning across the continent of Shen make for many chaotic instances of conflict and/or buffoonery. Truly, the lands are plagued with an unfortunate curse that shatters even the most intelligent being's perception of how people should function. Come to think of it, when's the last time you came across a frikkin' human who thinks life in Shen is normal?? God, it's a literal hell-scape of calamity half the time!

Well, not really, but a lot of people seem to think so.

The RP has already started, but there isn't much to catch up on, and I can give you a brief summary of the events.

@KendrikDmer Simply Click the character tab, paste the sheet, and post reply as you would anywhere else.

As for the voice thingus, just be sure to describe the effects in-post whenever you choose to take advantage of it. If it's ki-based, then keep in mind that other people with stronger sources of Ki would likely be able to ignore it/be far less affected.

I'll actually throw you in with Whimsley's character ASAP. If you'd like, you can go ahead and wander through the Plains of Ire/Tropi Desert until you reach the ATV where Jager, Dan, Nicolas, Haley, etc are stationed. The ATV is rather massive, and hard to miss. If you're approaching from the desert, there's a 10-meter cliff-like divider that stops your path, with the ATV on its edge overlooking the desert. The plains of Ire are an uneven dune-like plains with dry, cracked dirt taking up most of its surface area. The plant life is typically tall-grass is patches that range from small to large.

Otherwise, I'll put you into the situation in my next post.
Gaius Stronurr

The Forest Floor

There'd been very little time to muster a substantial amount of composure. His entire body ached, some parts more than others, and there was a distinct huffing in the distance. Gaius rose his head forward and twisted his neck. A few moments is all it took for him to take joy in the fact that his neck was fine. He wiggled his fingers and toes beneath their jade casings, and coughed up a mouthful of warm liquid. Blood? He spit forward, onto his breast plate, but there was no red in the clear bile. His stomach was just a little startled by the fall. Thank god he thought, pulling his elbows up and propping himself into a sitting position. His head felt lighter than usual. It made sense, he'd just fallen over 35 thousand kilometers, the atmosphere would've been unkind to their approach in all manners of ways. Wait, no, that wasn't it. Where... Where the heck is my helmet!? Gaius tried to push his body forward, but a sharp pain shot through his left shoulder and sent him crashing back into the ground like an uprooted tree. Hair medium-long auburn hair splayed outwards onto the forest floor, and the massive man coughed once again. A fiery ache overtook Gaius' left chest cavity. It became slightly harder to breath the more he moved. He coughed yet again, feeling another warmth splatter against the roof of his mouth. That wasn't bile, he knew that consistency all too well. It was blood.

Gaius let his disheveled cheek hit the forest floor as his head turned towards a series of cracking branches coming from his right side. His bright blue eyes took in every detail from above, like time was slowing down just for him. It wasn't, of course. That was just a side effect of the adrenaline. Before long, Rahna fell through the forest's overgrowth and landed with a resounding thud in a nearby alcove, close to where one of his Glider's wings had half-cleaved its way into the trunk of a tree. Lee was nearby too, crawling away from the ruined Gaius Plane debris in a fleeting attempt. Gaius' eye widened in horror. He forced himself over onto his chest, propping himself up on both hands and ignoring the pain that crashed through his left side like a maelstrom of tiny knives. His left arm shook relentlessly, but he was able to squeeze a leg under his hulking abdomen, and push himself up onto both feet. Without having to support his body, the pain in his left arm had subsided, for the most part. "Lee!" He rasped, making his way over to where Rahna had already begun to assist his short-term passenger. "Rahna-" Gaius stopped at the edge of the forest clearing and glanced at Lee's desperate attempt to escape Rahna's aid. He flinched as a needle seemed to prod at his lung. A droplet of blood snuck its way out of the corner of his mouth towards his chiseled jawline, but Gaius didn't bother to wipe it away. For a moment, he felt embarrassed without his helmet, but shrugged the feeling aside as quickly as he could. He tried to ask Rahna about Lee, but his breaths were already becoming too painful to sustain. Last time I fly with armor he thought.
