I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

The worm latched onto the rock in midair with its teeth and cracked it easily, but with its moith full of solid rock, and with the ground below jenso solid as well, the worm crashed and flopped onto its side helplessly, looking for a way to dig back down.
What was this now? This little twerp had the audacity to speak up to a man who just laid out his entire village in one stomp? "Issat so?" He groaned quietly, leaning in closer as Jeff began to shout with courageous vigor. He chuckled to himself, but when the wind around him began to whirl with Jeff as the epicenter, the giant's eyes looked down in confusion. "What in the-" Then Jeff moved quickly, faster than his target could react. His fist collided with his chest and launched him upwards, slicing at his rock-hard muscles like a flurry of knives. Small spurts of blood flew out and away from the impact point as he flew through the air. But the man didn't scream, nor did he grunt, or exhale with a fierce huff. He landed several feet away on his back, and lay motionless for a split second before he slowly rose to his feet.

Still silent, the huge man looked down at his sliced up chest. There was a spiral pattern etched into his skin, and it bled heavily, but he didn't seem too phased by it. The skin around his chest changed from a creamy color, to a dark grey tone, and the cuts began to seal one after another. But despite this, it left behind an imprint. Five lines of scarred flesh spinning towards his stomach's center remained, refusing to heal. He looked down, and then back up at Jeff. "900 years, nobody's been able to scar this solid bod, not even a little. And here," He stopped and disdainfully motioned towards Jeff with his entire right hand, shaking it up and down briefly in frustration, "This little fucking humie..." He stopped and dropped both hands at his sides. The skin around his stomach changed back to its creamy hue again, and his eyes lit up with fury. Below them, a devilish smile spanned his entire face, and he began walking towards Jeff at a steady pace.

"You little twerp... Heh..Hehehe..."
"Stop mutterin' ya little shit." The evil giant made his way over to Jeff and placed one of his boots on his head, holding back the urge to stomp him out. He frowned, the glow from his mouth fading and the golden light in his eyes lowering to a dim color. "I always have the bad fuckin' luck. I shoulda just stuck with Zelrian!" He grunted, pulling his boot off of Jeff's head. "It's always the pathetic little fucking tools! It's always weaklings! Nothing but ants! I want a challenge!" He looked down at Jeff and bent forward. "You worthless little runts... The boss is up in his fancy fuckin' study reading books, and what am I doin? I'm crushin' insects! There aint no rush in any of this!" He grunted again. "You are your little friend, you're all nothin' but filthy... Fuckin... TRASH-"
"I don't think so-" The yellow man shouted, immediately stomping his foot into the ground, "Spike Tempest!" Suddenly, yellow cones of energy surrounded every single one of the villagers, including Jeff, and paralyzed them. Dacer was too slow to dodge the cone that struck his left leg, which left him only partially paralyzed, but completely unable to fight. Dacer struggled to aim his bow, but his body was overtaken by the strange energy. Likewise, Jeff could not move at all. It was like a painless series of coursing lightning bolts that pulsed through his body and removed his ability to even wiggle his finger. "I'm a little dissapointed that worked!" The man taunted, moving his hands outward, "Should've just lead with that, seeing how you're so goddamn weak." He walked over to Dacer and picked him up by the throat with a widening smile. "Man, where do you get off challenging guys like me, ya little insect?"

"With a million." Dacer grunted bluntly.

"A million what?"

"A million times the brain power, ya big idiot..." That made the large man's smile disappear, but only for a second.

"Haha! Trying to make me mad, eh? Cute attempt, kid." He then lowered Dacer slightly, and moved his hand lower, to grab below his right elbow. "I don't like arrogant little ass-hats like you. You deserve a crash course on some manners,"

"Only some?" Dacer quipped, chuckling to himself, "I'm surprised at you, ya yellow idiot!" The large man grit his teeth. "If you're gunna talk a big game about manners, you should at least teach me al-" With a spin and a mighty toss, the huge man threw Dacer high into the sky, beyond the mountains to the south. The supposed Gaian spun around like a rag-doll and disappeared over the horizon in only a few seconds.

"Big mouthed fucker." The large man grunted, turning towards the villagers. He smiled and shrugged. "Yer all weak, aint'chya? Feh, go figure. There aint a decent challenge anywhere on this forsake clump of dirt."
With a slight struggle, the beast dug up and launched itself at Jenso from above with its maw wide open and pouring broken rock.
The worm followed Jenso adamently, not stopping even for a second, blindly diving in and out of the ground like a little missle. But for some reason, the closer Jenso got to the cave, the slower the worm moved
Dacer looked Jeff in the eyes with his own emerald gaze, and summoned a bow from thin air. "Come on man, don't make me spell it out," Dacer groaned, looking back in the direction he came from.

"I need you to travel north for me. To Yivon city. Take the villagers with you. Look for a man named Ross, and tell him who you are, and that I'm the one who sent you," Dacer asked. "I don't know where this guy came from, but he's bad news-"

Before Dacer could explain any further, the massive man from earlier landed in front of them, slamming into the ground like a meteor.

"Go!" Dacer shouted, readying his bow again, "You'll get an explaination, I promise!"
Sila shut up for once and let Jeff carry her further away from the village, towards the grasslands to the west. If they went far enough, they'd eventually reach the farmlands, and find shelter in Winston's barn...

But as they got closer, it became painfully obvious that this giant man has gotten to it first. The barn was razed to the ground, and there was nothing but debris and torn up plant-life strewn about.

Seconds later, Dacer seemed to have caught up with them, running faster than any man had the right to run, like a speeding bullet. He stopped next to Jeff, heaving his breath, and placing an arm on his shoulder. "Remember those fiction stories I used to tell you all the time? About the ancient Gaian race? And their hidden village?" Dacer asked, reminding Jeff of the fantastic stories of men and women who could summon weapons on command, and wielded amazing powers that no normal human could. "Remember?"

They were green-eyed warriors, all with a beautiful composure, handsome or well rounded. The protected the earth from many dangerous threats to its life, and had apparently disappeared without a trace several years ago.
Dacer grinned and hopped back. "I AINT GUNNA LOSE TO THIS IDIOT!" At the sound of the word 'idiot' the intruder immediately dashed towards Dacer and reeled his fist back again.

"Who're you calling an idiot short stuff!?" He shouted as loud as he could. His voice shook the air itself, but this time Dacer wasn't too keen on blocking his punch. There was some serious force behind it now, clearly. The archer dashed to the side with tremendous speed, but was followed with a second punch, but he jumped up onto the side of the massive tree to dodge it, pushed himself up into the air with his feet, and shot another stream of light at Rajaka's back as he flew overhead, landing several feet away before running further and charging another shot..

The further Jeff got, the more villagers followed him, but he didn't get very far before Sila started coughing. "Put me down.." She rasped.
Jenso didn't get far at all, before the worm stood in its path again, attempting to swallow him hole for the second time. It was fast, but only underground. Above ground it was sluggish, blind, and not too bright.

Running all the way back to town would be impossible. The cave's entrance was made of solid stone though, as was the ground around it. Maybe Jenso could hide in there...?
