I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Upon grabbing the worm, its tendrils immediately twirled backwards and latched onto Jenso's wrist, and the other four worms caught up with him quicker than he might've expected. He felt a draining feeling overtake his arm, like his energy was being sucked out. Along with this, the golemite's icy body began to freeze his skin.
Jenso's Kick launched the little worm a few feet away, but it simply returned to following him, and within moments, the other 4 worms did the same, abandoning the glove, which was now in pieces.
As Jenso's body began to cool down again, one of the small blue worms detached itself from Paulie's glove and slunk towards him with its mouth now open, and its small tendrils whirling about erratically.
Chapter 22

Bits, Bites, And Golemites

Jenso awoke to bars of ice that surrounded him and reached from the ceiling to the floor. He was trapped in a relatively large cage that looked like it was meant for something much bigger. Looking past the bars, he appeared to be in a large light blue room made entirely of ice. Was this the ice fortress? A strange warmth overtook his body before he had a chance to think about this, which was strange, considering that his jacket was missing.

Across the cage there was a small group of small worm-like creatures, at least 5 of them, latched onto something furry with little white tendrils that came from their mouths. Upon further inspection, it appeared to be Paulie's Glove. What the hell were they doing to it?

The rest of the room was empty, but there was a large set of partially transparent doors on the other end that leader further into the fortress.
Jenso's kick struck home, but left nothing but a series of small cracks alongside the golem's head, which immediately repaired themselves as if nothing had happened. The golem took this chance to grab Jenso out of midair with its left arm, and begin freezing his entire body. Everything started to go dark as his body was overtaken by ice magic, and as he passed out, he caught a glimpse of Paulie lying unconscious on top of Clarence's grave.

~ End Of Chapter 21 ~
Further and further, and the mist continued to thicken until it was merely meters above his head. The presence from earlier grew stronger and stronger until it felt like something was breathing down Jeff's neck... In reality, there was!

A small puff of pink fur was attached to Jeff's shirt with little invisible strings, identical to the magical arms that the choofa with Fiz used to moved around. It was breathing against his neck, attempting to suck his life force out. Unfortunately for Choofa, they weren't actually much of a threat to anything that was as big as Jeff...
Jenso's fist crashed against the Golem's face but inflicted no damage whatsoever. Jenso's fist felt an icy power fill his hand though, as if it were slowly being frozen. He pulled his hand back and launched it at Jenso with extreme force behind his blow.
"They're all dead Jenso!" Paulie shouted, "Warbly birds don't get very quiet when they're scared!" He kept running, but something rose from the ground between him and the lake. It was a smaller humanoid golem that was barely any taller than Paulie or Jenso, but its head was near the middle of its chest, and its rocky body was bright blue. It struck forward at Paulie and knocked him across the clearing. Paulie landed near the fire, and a spray of dirt and snow put it out. The golem coming over the hill was nearly 10 meters tall, and its arms were a meter thick. It began to creep closer, dwarfing Jenso completely despite its slow speed.

"Pharie has been out of tune with nature for years. Her orb has been trapped in black ice, long before I was even born. There's no way those golems are using her meteor thing yet, but... If they were to break through the ice..." Paulie shook his head and turned back towards his brother's grave. Suddenly, several screeches rang through the snow-covered clearing. It was the warbly birds, and it came from beyond the hills! Looking in the direction, one of the birds was fleeing towards them, but something large began to hulk forwards and grabbed the bird with its steel-blue hand, like it was a small toy. The crunch of bones sounded as Paulie turned to witness this. Paulie dashed towards Jenso and pulled him up onto his feet. "Jenso, we have to run!"
As Jeff made his way further down the path, the gas began to get thicker and thicker, but it never dropped low enough for him to breath it in. Eventually it began so thick that the air around Jeff glowed purple despite the clouds staying high above. The path itself was starting to widen adn smooth out though, and soon enough, he could make out distinct pathways to follow. A couple lead into the sides of the gorge, while the middle path sprawled even further forwards.

All the while, something was watching Jeff from above. Something big, and hungry...
