I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Jenso's maneuver barely saved him from a paralyzing blow. The golem's foot only sliced at his back, cutting open his shirt and leaving a shallow wound behind. But Jenso's strike proved to be perfectly aimed, and the golem's foot shattered. It fell forwards, its rounded body striking the ground in front of Jenso hard.

An Elder's Reach Is Deep

The Grand Choofa had brought Jeff further across the gorge safely. It was a splendid coincidence that Jeff was met with his royal Choofa-ness, especially with the worsening Dangers that he would have faced. With the master puff-ball at his side, monsters seemed to shy away from the two of them. Jeff spotted a few more canyon crawlers, but they remained squished into their crevices in the sides of the Canyon, not nearly stupid enough to face the master Choofa. He was the top dog around here!

The Master Choofa remained quiet, and did not respond to any of Jeff's words until they had reached his grand cave on the other end of the Cavern. It seemed nearly identical to the Cave he landed near, but the only occupant was the grand Choofa himself.

"Now I listen. What you do here stranger? What you do with Fiz?"
Jeff's efforts did nothing of construct, but within moments, the second spider shared the fate of the first, and ended up in pieces. Moments later, something large and poofy hopped over their giant corpses and addressed Jeff directly.

"Fiz? You become very young very fast!" It claimed in a high pitched voice.

It was the Choofa Elder, or as Fiz and Jeff referred to him, the Master Choofa.

~ End Of Chapter 3 ~
Whimsley seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
'Preposterous' Victor's mother hissed under her breath. The mere thought of Resurrection was crossing into a realm of magic that nobody understood. It exceeded the very prospect of arcane theory! The soul was not so easily measured, so how was one to reanimate a body? Vermont's last attempt left the audience with a zombie, easily agitated, and without drive that went beyond pure instinct. 'Victor, be ready to dispatch of this abomination,' Helga muttered to her husband. She looked forward at her son and cringed at his reaction. 'Sit down, Junior. This will not be anything special.'

Vermont glared at Helga. He knew she was doubtful, regardless of whether or not he heard her cruel remarks. The old man cleared his throat to regain the crowds full attention, and placed his hands flat on top of his subject's corpse. "Observe carefully... I shall tap into a magical force that transcends our research. I will draw upon this man's Ki, and pull it back from the void," Vermont claimed confidently. The collection of mages before him let out a mixture of chuckles and doubtful groans. Ki? Ki was a fairy tale. All in the universe derived from the arcane, from the clouds in the sky, to the rocks in the earth. Ki was the weak man's way of describing unknown factors in the study of a human's brain, and by extension, their arcane network. Vermont was spouting nonsense, yet again. But as his audience simmered down, Vermont did just as he said. A glow unfamiliar to any of his colleagues began to emanate from his palms, and into the body laid before him. "Nay, I should not refer to it as magic..." Vermont stared into the eyes of each mage in the stands individually, almost like he was addressing their doubts individually. When he reached Victor though, he smiled and closed his eyes.

"This is not magic."

Less than a minute passed, and Vermont was already finished. The glow subsided and he stepped back carefully. The corpse took no time in rousing from its slumber. Its eyes shot open, its skin filled with a flush of color, and it rose forwards in a split second of panic. Many people there recognized the man as Alfredo Thio, missing for only 4 months and presumed dead. Alfredo looked over at his fellow mages and felt his chest over. A heartbeat. He could breath. The decay in his corpse had vanished, and he was conscious. This was not merely the forbidden act of necromancy, this was true revival.

"Alfredo, are you with us?" Vermont inquired quietly. Alfredo shuddered away from his touch, but nodded shortly afterwards.

"What happened to me?"

Helga reeled back in utter shock. What in the hell had Vermont discovered in his time alone?
The golem's leg cracked, but didn't shatter on impact. Jenso's leg practically bounced off of the reflective icy surface of the golem's foot, leaving a very small series of cracks in its wake. But the Golem immediately pulled its other leg back towards the distracted Jenso like a sword, aimed for his spine.
As Jenso got closer, the golem lashed its knife-like knee towards Jenso, and broke its harpooned arm off of the wall, leaving a large spear of ice behind in its place.
Jeff bolted away from the Choofa Swarm as fast as he could, managing to escape by the skin of his teeth. But further into the gorge, he found himself face to face with a pair of oozing purple globs of goo that pulsated erratically and blocked his path. Seconds after he approached them, the two globs propped themselves up with a series of sinewy legs. When standing, they appeared even bigger than before! Much larger than any animal Jeff had ever seen before in his life! Were these the canyon crawlers? They certainly did resemble giant spiders... If spiders were perpetually melting and secreted a disgusting, smelly ooze.

The two creatures turned to rush hJeff, scaring away the approaching Choofa with two synchronized hissing noises. But Before they had a chance to crush him, one of the beasts was sliced clean in half by something behind it. A wave of white energy, or something to that effect. The second beast stopped only for a second, deciding to chase Jeff down regardless. Not a very smart creature, it seemed..
Yea, Whimsley's been conpletely MIA for a while. I'm getting a tad worried.
The giant golem rushed towards Jenso with its sword-like hands at the ready. With a single slash, suddenly, one of its arms extended and grew thinner as it flew towards Jenso like a harpoon.
