People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

"If you're goin anywhere from here, you'll need more than that, friend. Why don't you visit the place across the street? Phil's tinker shop! He's got a backpack made precisely for guys like you!.. But nobody can really afford it.. Actually, maybe you shouldn't." The man said, walking back. "How much money do you have anyways?"
"How much?" the guy asked, "You travelin'?"
Chapter 30

Rocky Roads, And Old Acquaintances

Jenso made his way further down the path for a couple days, when he realized something horrifying.

He was hungry.

Fortunately, when everything was looking rather dull, Jenso came across a small settlement that reminded him of Orobo. It was a single line of buildings, with a dirt road down the middle that stretched forward for at least a mile. What an interesting little town! the path was dusty, and the surrounding environment looked rather inhabitable, but everyone seemed pretty happy here. This is the first time he'd seen such a peaceful community since he'd left Arcadia. It's already been two weeks by now, but to Jenso, it might've felt a lot different.

On his right, there were many odd stores that sold food, water, and clothing. On his right there was a huge inn, and several nick-nack stores. Throughout the street, there were carriages that reminded him of Gregory's, and the bandits that killed him and his wife. No, this couldn't be it! Was this Hellion Outpost?
Vale turned his head back briefly, revealing one eye and a portion of his toothy smile.

"I've no reason to kill any who support my friend" Vale said wistfully. "Besides, I ate before I dropped by~" The darkness began to close in around them, and within moments, Vale's shadowy silhouette fused with the backdrop, and he was gone.

~ End Of Chapter 29 ~
Vale smiled and licked the blood off of his nails. "Your blood is still sour." Vale hissed. "You will learn one day, or you will die. Lark wishes you to thrive, so I am here to tell you that which he cannot." Vale walked towards Jenso and sunk back into his cloak as he passed him.

"Your power can only do so much if you do not think. Train your mind, and perhaps, just maybe, there will be a sliver of hope for you yet."
Vale looked at Jenso as the sun dropped lower in the sky and disappeared over the horizon. Vale's eyes began to fill with a darkening red hue, and his thin muscular features almost tripled in size, turning him into a predominantly bulky figure. His teeth grew sharper and more curved, and he moved towards Jenso in a quick motion, stopping just in front of his face.

"You should be," He growled, extending one of his hands forward and grabbing Jenso's arm before he could react. "The only reason you're alive right now is soon to be forfeit you miserable whelp. You must learn your limits and eliminate threats before they crawl back up from the depths of defeat and crush your puny little skull," Vale urged, reaching into his coat. He backed away, let go of Jenso, and pulled out a small glowing orange orb. "I'm not here to defend your stupidity." With that, he crushed the orb in his pale fingers, and rose the hand that clutched Jensos arm earlier to his mouth. There was blood dripping slowly from two of his fingernails, where he's sliced into Jenso's arm as carefully and painlessly as he could manage.

"Can you grasp it with the sparse colony of cells floating 'round and 'round in your little brain? Kill when you can, and run when you cannot. There is no shame in retreat, no, not a shred. Your pride will swallow you, far before you're strong enough to oppose the darkness on your horizons."
Major Characters

In Order Of Appearance

Joshua Kario

The head of Kario village, and local farmer who employs over twenty men each year to harvest the crops for everyone in Kario. Joshua Speaks with a Thick accent and has a rather strict attitude, but makes up for it by being one of the kindest most understanding old men in Kario. He wears a pair of overalls most of the time with a white tunic underneath, a large farm hat, and rarely shaves his inch-long white beard.

Angelica Kario

Joshua's little girl, just barely old enough to be considered an adult. She's always bound to her books, and baking, but every so often, the farmhands could catch a glimpse of her beautiful figure by the second story window of his father's farm. She often wears a sun dress, or something loose and comfy. Her blonde hair is always in the same pony-tail no matter what time of day it is, and not many have seen her without it tied back.

Zelriane

The contemptuous man who assaulted Kario's farmhouse looking for a book that Angelica owns. He is fierce, shows little regard for social etiquette, and has an excessively blunt personality. He sees nothing wrong with simply asking for what he desires, and using force to make sure his requests are fulfilled. The man stands about 5'2'' tall, has slicked back green hair, wears a black mask that reveals only his green eyes, and a green kimono. His feet are bare, but he doesn't seem to care.
~ Chapter 1 ~

I'm Just A Farmhand!

The fields in Kario were brimming with newly ripe vegetables, harvested mindfully by several men with rather bulky frames. Joseph Kario sat on his porch overlooking his workers with a smile as he chewed on a wad of tobacco. The old guy always loved watching the first harvest, it was a tradition for him nowadays, ever since he turned 60, anyways. When his back popped out of place, he couldn't bare to be cooped up inside at every hour of the day. So here he was, watching as his son, and Kario's local brutes, tore through his field meticulously with pleasant smiles. He imagined having his youthful body again, how it would feel to tear carrots from their roots and yank corn off of its stem. Alas, this is the best he could do, but it didn't bother him too much.

Kario's Daughter watched the men from the second story, occasionally lifting her pristine blue eyes from an old novel she's read at least a hundred times already. Unlike her father, she admired the men for something a little more... Scandalous. Nobody could blame her, though. Every youngin' went through it eventually, and the men often returned her glances with a smile. They knew she was off limits though. Old man Kario was far too protective of his sweet little Angelica, and the first man to come within 10 feet of her would certainly be out of work for the next 10 years.

Kario waved at Oswald as he passed by with a wheelbarrow full of corn and spat his tobacco into a nearby bucket. Oz was working the east field today, the same field Kario just so happened to enjoy watching the most. That was only because it was directly in front of his house, but it didn't change that fact one bit. " 'Avin yerself o'bit ov a haul, eh Ozzy?" Kario teased, pointing out Oz's exceptionally large stash of corn. Everyone knew he was probably the most efficient worker out there, even if he wasn't the biggest. It was kind of perplexing that he beat out big Bobby every year. The running joke was that Oz had some sort of guardian angel moving his arms for him!
"You keep say Mask man, this not my problem! You say you have power of wind, then show Grand Choofa! Lies are weighted like feather! They are light! Liiiight!" He squealed, bouncing up and down like a rubber ball. The grand Choofa approached him right afterwards and bounced onto his head, grasping tightly with his little string-like limbs. "I feel nothing in head! You are empty, like empty can! Ting ting!" He shouted, tapping Jeff's head. "Proof is in pudding, like Fiz say! You not windy man! You normal human! Want prove self?" The grand choofa rose his hand-like strings and conjured a white energy in front of Jeff that took the shape of a human without a face, like a white ghost. "Strike! Defeat! Go!"
