I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Phil waved Jenso off and began scrounging through his drawers. "Yea, no problem, kid," He called out. "No problem at all."

The butcher hauled out a massive stack of meat and slammed it onto the counter. "Here we are! That'll be 5 gold... Did you get anything at Phil's to carry all this?" He asked, bending over the counter.
The Chief exited his Cave with Jeff and looked up at the purple mist above them, which had thinned out somewhat. "I launch you up, but not know where you may land. Tell me when Ready, it not be a steady trip..." The Chief reassured Jeff, in the least reassuring tone possible.
Phil's eyes widened and he smiled. "Oh! Kid! You gotta take it-" Phil said excited, rustling through his odds and ends behind the counter, "I always wanted to find you again. After you kicked the shit out of my gang, I've been doing so much better on my own! I've put my skills to use taking out other Bandits and cultists, and uh... Stealing their loot, ahhaha.." He pulled out yet another sack, but it was much smaller. It was about the size of Jenso's fist, and had a small string to tighten its mouth. Phil looked around carefully, and then stretched the mouth of the bag wide open, so that it was big enough to fit an entire person's body inside. The Interior was black, too dark to see, but it seemed to go on forever. "This is a bottomless pouch! I want you to have it," He said, handing Jenso the pouch. "It's the least I could do. I usually keep the best stuff for myself, but when I go out on my own, I usually don't have the strength to find more than I can fit in a normal Carriage, heh heh."
The Chief hopped up and looked at Jeff curiously. "Affinity! I Never feel such Affinity before!" He said to Jeff. He paused and looked around the cave hurriedly. "Human! I have unlocked your potential, but I no teach how to use! Perhaps now, you do better on your own..." The Chief then ran behind the giant mushroom and came back with a green stone, smaller than a marble. It looked like a pebble, but there was something odd about it. "This Wind crystal! Rare crystal, but allow channeling of magic without knowledge! Can let you surpass your limits. Will break quickly, but I give you for emergency!" The Chief then lead Jeff out of the cave while he continued to talk. "But Choofa Gorge, it not safe for you to learn. Here, only Chief know magic, and Chief do all he could.. Jeff, I help you leave Gorge!"
The Chief ruffled his fluff and made his way back over to Jeff. "Fine! But I no train! Grand Choofa Merely reach into soul using old Choofa magic!" He explained, jumping on Jeff's head again and placing all of his limbs in place over his hair. "But It not do good! Average Human have little magic to-" In a few seconds, the Choofa went silent, and Jeff felt something brewing within his skull. "Eh?" A whipping feeling of wind soared through his mind, and he was overtaken by fatigue in just a few seconds. But it didn't stop, not until the Choofa was launched off of his head and into the cap of the giant mushroom in the room's center. "CHOOFA!"
"Choofa! What do you plan with no power, Human!? You cannot even summon wind on commands! Skill take many years to master, and man seems far stronger than what even moderate wind skills can defeat!"
Hey there random person, welcome to uh. This place!
Welcome to the guild. It's pretty neat I suppose.
Once again, his kick failed to land as the white form shot down with a high speed ducking maneuver, but as the phantom was about to counter, it was dispelled by the Chief. "Enough! I see Enough," The chief said, bouncing in front of Jeff and lifting his puffy body off the ground. "I believe your claim. Wind Affinity is strong within your body, human!" The grand Choofa turned to the big mushroom behind him and walked towards it. "You speak of the masked man. Is masked man truly as strong as it appears?"
