I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Dacer got off of Tiger and ran over to where Adarine and Shadra were, moments earlier. "God damn it all!" He shouted, kicking a stray stone out of sheer frustration. The tiger walked over to him and nuzzled his thigh to calm him down, but Dacer didn't seem all to interested in his friend's help. "It doesn't matter if we're ok if that monster is still out there, Does it, Tiger!?" Dacer shouted at Tiger, pushing him away gently. The giant beast slunk back, sat down, and rapidly shrank, losing its green hue and turning into a tiny white cat with a brown spot over its right eye. Dacer turned back to him and sighed. "It's... Ahg! It's not fine!" He paused and turned to Jenso, who was moping near the exit of the cave. "Who the hell are you? Why the hell are you here on Aldri?!" Dacer asked, rather uh... Loudly.
Jenso's hands flickered, but nothing came out except another short ranged stream of unruly flames. Dacer glanced at him for a moment, but ignored Jenso, and fired another Ki arrow at Shadra and Adarine. Shadra turned to him and rose a hand covered in deep black smoke. The arrow entered her hand and disappeared. The black smoke faded for a moment and reappeared on her hand, releasing the exact same arrow back into his direction.

"Shit!" Dacer winced. He ducked low and hugged tiger, who dashed out of the arrows way and allowed it to travel out the other side of the cave. Moments later, the two women were cloaked in a blanket of darkness, and began to fade away.

"See you again soon, Golden boy," Adarine remarked, glancing at him with her deep purple eyes one more time before they disappeared into nothingness.

Shadows

"How did you escape my-" the woman started, pausing when she noticed that all of her candles had gone out. "Ah.. Ahoho, you sneaky little charmer! Did you-"

"Save it bitch-tits," the man shouted, firing a stream of white ki, larger than he's been firing before, at her head. She narrowly dodged it with a flick of her head, letting it fly past her, past Jenso, and into the distance beyond them. A few moments later, it struck a large tree in the distance, completely destroying the center of its trunk and sending it to the ground.

"Dacer, please-"

"Whoops! Couldn't hear you over me kicking the shit out of your radical body," Dacer said comedically, firing another arrow directly at her body. His bow crackled with yellow energy, and released three separate bolts, which all threatened to home in on her. She rose an orb of goop around her to defend, but the electrical arrows pierced right through it and struck her directly, sending her directly to her knees. The woman let out a cry of pain, but seemed relatively ok despite losing control of her legs.

"Argh! You're capable of so much more than I thought!"

"Yea, and you're finally where you belong," Dacer started, aiming another white stream of energy at her face, "On your knees, taking it in the face like the little whore you are." He didn't hesitate in firing, but before he could strike her directly, black shadows appeared between him and his target, absorbing his arrow, and spitting out a short woman who looked... Entirely black. She turned to the purple-eyed woman and ran over to her, her short black hair swinging back and forth. Her entire body was darker than normal, so dark that it seemed to absorb all of the light around her. She was like a shadow, but within seconds, the darkness left he body, revealing a younger-looking woman with a thin figure. Her hair remained the dark shade of black, and Her face was also masked, but her eyes didn't Shine. Rather, it was as if she had no eyes. She glared at Jenso for a moment, almost as if she was looking into his soul, and then looked at the injured woman.

"Ah, arriving just in time Shadra, I knew I could count on you.." The purple woman said weakly.

"Don't talk, Adarine," Shadra whispered, grabbing the woman's shoulder and coating them both in blackness.
"I'm not waiting anymore!" She shrieked, raising both hands into the air. Suddenly, he expression changed to one of horror, and she turned around completely facing the edge of her little cavern where she'd set up five purple candles made out of purple goo. One of the candles flickered out, as soon as she turned around, and the wall behind her burst open, sending shards of stones in her direction. She rose her arm and stomped a foot, raising a large wall of goo between her and the stones, barely stopping them in their path. As it dropped and disappeared, Dacer sat atop the mighty green Tiger that attacked him earlier, wielding his bow and aiming at the woman's face.

"I don't think I've been this pissed of since you tread into our fucking village and killed my entire fucking family, you putrid, fucking, CUNT!"

~ End Of Chapter 37 ~
The woman's smiled suddenly disappeared. Her facial expression, although partially blocked out, changed to one of contempt. "Prisma said you had more fight in you than this!" she growled, disgruntled and betrayed. She stomped towards Jenso and rose a hand up. "What a clown! He's always been such a stupid clown, getting my hopes up!" suddenly, a stream of purple goo rose from the ground near her right foot like a large wave of power. She pointed her finger towards him, and like clockwork, the goo heeded her command and flung itself towards him. "Fight back!!"
"My name is not blue, it is Nexus," The man spat, dispelling his magical Dirk. "I was ordered to retrieve all books unique to this village, and the only one that my mimicry did not recognize was Laura'a novel. That's all there is too it. Sit there and be quiet, I'll only be a few more minutes.."
"I'd taken control of the elementals long before you'd been to Orobo or Pharie, golden boy. Did you really think those destructive, mindless cretins would have contacted a human? Gol-Ira was a tool created to purge the humans from the north! Pharie's meteor was frozen by the people, using magical gauntlets that they fashioned from the cores of Ice golems, I know it all! They've told me such wondrous stories, oh my what wondrous stories indeed..." She paused for a moment and stopped in her tracks. "The meteors aren't power sources, they were weapons used to conquer the world and eradicate humans once and for all. That's why magic is so very scarce in this worthless universe. Ahaha... You've just been freeing magical nukes throughout your travels. You're to blame for what's about to happen to Orobo and Pharie!" She shouted in Orobo's deep voice. The woman began laughing and rose her hand. She snapped her fingers, and a small puff of purple smoke rose up from her fingertips, signaling an unfortunate event.

"I would have had you free the fire and air meteors, but..! Oh I couldn't wait to see you, face to face! It's not often I get a chance to mess with such a powerful little tool!!!"
The man stepped back from Ren once. "As expected. It didn't have to end like this, kid. I wasn't here to kill anyone," He paused, pulled Laura's book from his armor, and continued flipping through the book. "That wound isn't fatal. Just stand down," He begged, not looking all too eager to strike Ren down.
The woman smiled and pressed one hand to her chin, while clutching its shoulder with the other. She chuckled out loud and shook her head. "Kick my ass? Oh what a tantalizing thought!" She mocked, spreading her arms out wide, "But I'm afraid you're quite incapable at the moment, golden boy. Ripe for the picking, I might add, ahoho. Helpless like a puppy!" She began stepping towards him slowly with audible clacks as he heels struck stone. "Are you perhaps, lost? Why would you even expose yourself to the jimminy or the jewmo or whatever the hell those blasted idiots are calling my little pets... Oh! Are you maybe here to..." She paused and looked him directly in the eyes. What happened next might have shocked Jenso to no end. "See the elementals?" She spoke, but her voice suddenly shifted. She sounded identical to Pharie's.
@Gat Izen Ah, well if you're looking for something writing a paragraph or less, free is the way to go. That or casual, the disparitybetween the two is sometimes a little confusing.

At any rate, you're sure to find something in casual interest checks eventually. Check around there, or maybe free.
