People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Where Are All These Fighters Coming From!?

Norman stampeded away from Ross, almost tripping as he jumped out of the ring in an instant.

"Norman... Norman has forfeited!" With a disappointed look, Ross lowered his massive blade slowly and dispelled it. When it disappeared, he placed both of his hands in the pockets of his ragged green pants, and skulked off, back towards his edge of the arena.

"Huh.." Mikey looked at Norman as he ran past them, but he didn't stop to talk. He was heard muttering 'what a waste of a trip' to himself as he disappeared into the crowds beyond the bleachers. Mikey urged Jenso to follow him away from the Arena afterwards. "I've heard of those two fighting now, they're both weaklings that lost to the Scythe last year. Come on, lets go see if the second listings are up!"
Back in the Arena, A huge dark-skinned man approached from the opposite side, and flexed his massive arms as the crowd looked out to him. "Hm, looked like the next round's starting," Charles said, watching intently, "After I beat you, I'll probably have to fight one of these guys, won't I?"

"That guy's pretty big, almost as big as that masked dude," Mikey commented on Ross' 7 foot stature, which did indeed almost match Rajaka's 8 foot height. His muscles were almost as big too. He had medium spiky black hair, pointed upwards, and Deep green eyes, but no weapons.

"Give a hand for Ross Mountainrend!" The announcer shouted, "And his opponent, Norman!" A little man walked past Jenso and Mikey into the arena. He was tiny, but seemed ferocious. When he saw Ross however, his confidence melted away.

"Give it your all, little dude!" Ross shouted with a smile. Norman nodded.

"Fight!" Ross took no time to prepare. He held his hand up high, and conjured a stream of light in his hand. In a few seconds, it formed into a solid object almost immediately with a green flash. A giant 9 foot long greatsword, bigger than even himself, with ornate details along its brownish green sides. It was double-edged, and Ross held it with no effort. Norman flinched and began backing away from him immediately.

"I don't hold back!" Ross admitted with a smile.

Before Jenso and Mikey could even turn to watch, the tri-elemental mage had a red splotch in his cloak, around the abdomen. Charles phased into view shortly afterwards, holding the dagger that had pierced his stomach. It wasn't a fatal wound, but the mage dropped and Charles already began walking out of the ring.

"W..Winner!" The announcer shouted. "Charles proceeds to round two!"

"Hey!" Mikey shouted, "Great going! Way to show these amateurish magic used who's boss!"

"Easy win," Charles mused, "Thank god this won't be difficult... Oh?" He stopped in front of Jenso and looked him over. "Right, I'm fighting you next round. Do me a favor and make it easy on yourself, kay? I don't want to hurt you."
"Next up.." The announcer spent no time waiting for the next two fighters, "Charles, V.S. The Tri elemental wizard!" The two fighters made their way onto the field quickly. Jenso was free to watch, but Mikey was waiting for him between the bleachers that lead back to the tent.

"Haha, you didn't even give him a chance. I didn't think people that weak would be in this tournament," Mikey said casually, "Poor guy. I'm glad you're taking part, though! It seems like you didn't even try there."

Charles turned invisible within a moment, but the wizard, a man in casual clothes, summoned three balls of elemental energy, electricity fire and ice.

"Charles probably won't have any trouble with that guy either. He seems kinda weak too."
The Scythe struggled and squirmed, but within a minute, he was outside the arena, landing on his ass in front of the eastern crowd.

"J...Jenso's done it! He rung out the Scythe!!" The crowd began to cheer vividly as Jenso's prowess. The Scythe got up, walked back into the Arena, and passed Jenso to pick up his weapon. "What a short match folks! It looks like this years contestants are a cut above last years!" The crowd fell silent pretty quickly, as the fight really wasn't that interesting, but there were quite a few people who hated the Scythe for killing a few fighters in the last tournament. "Please leave the stage Jenso, thank you for the fight!"
Jenso's movement forced the Scythe to drop his weapon. It flew backwards and clattered until it went immobile. The Scythe looked up at him, in great pain, but tried to overpower him. It felt like nothing to Jenso though. "I will not give up!" He shouted, grasping Jenso's right shoulder and squeezing as hard as he could.
Jenso ducked with ease and Scythe's eyes widened. His Iris' might have been a strange color, but they weren't glowing, and from this close, Jenso could notice the whites of his eyes. He tried to back up, but Jenso's fist struck his stomach and pushed him back a foot. He buckled forward, unable to follow up. The entire crowd fell silent as Jenso made his first strike. Even without the assistance of his Ki, Jenso's punch had immobilized the Scythe.
"Another round of applause for the two men!" The announcer shouted. Her request was met with cheers and claps! Several men and women in the west bleachers cheered the Scythe on. 'Scythe! Scyethe' they shouted. The scythe drew his weapon and pointed it at Jenso. It was made of normal steel, but had a very curved handle and the blade was large, about 22 inches long.

"Are you ready folks? Let round one of Feralda's tournament begin!"

A loud horn sounded the start of the match, and the scythe ran towards Jenso. His sprinting speed however, wasn't very fast. He seemed a little faster than the other men than Jenso had lived with in Arcadia, perhaps even slightly faster than Jenso was before he set out on his journey, but his movements were easily predicted. With a single swing of his scythe, he aimed to cut Jenso's head right off in the first move.

Round One Begins, The Scythe Shows His Stuff!

"Approaching now from the western side of the ring, the Scythe himself! He was eliminated in last years tournament in the semi finals by last year's champion, Reggie Hawkins!" The announcer shouted. The Scythe made his way onto the arena, a large white-paneled square that was much larger than a football field, and perfectly square. The announcer had just reiterate the rules and made the starting speech, but now was the time to introduce the fighters!

"And from the eastern side of the ring, we welcome a newcomer, Jenso! From the land of Arcadia. He's here on a quest to grow in strength! What a wonderful goal, let's welcome him with applause!" The announcer said. The crowds began to clap from all sides of the ring, waiting for Jenso to come on out.
The scythe closed his eyes and walked away. His black cloak blocked out all of his features. What a strange man. Who knew what he would be like on the battle field. Zelriane and Rajaka didn't seem to be talking to each other, or anyone else. This was sure to be an interesting tournament..
