A Hero Tale {Complete}

Mikey didn't have much control over where he would land, but his bullets kept hitting Jenso. He suddenly clenched his fist, but nothing happened. Mikey's eyes widened as he landed with a light 'blup' and bounced slightly in place. "He's been evaporating my bullets!' Mikey had planned to simply use his water in a single focused strike by coating Jenso in it, but the heat made it impossible to use such a cheap tactic. 'What a guy!'

The bullet that struck Jenso were relatively weak. Against a normal man, the sheer pain might've taken one to their knees, but not Jenso. After facing so many different enemies, the bullets were like slow moving pebbles to him! Sure, they might have hurt, but with his body heated up, they were nothing. Mikey smiled and jutted his knee forward, lashing out towards Jenso with a water whip from his bubble shield.

Mikey's bullet were too wide-spread to dodge entirely, but they struck with reduced power against Jenso's super heated skin, hissing as the water turned to vapor and left small welts in his skin. As Jenso tossed a square of the white marbled floor towards Mikey, he didn't move. The spinning white square struck the side of his bubble and dug pretty deep, though, before Mikey himself kicked it out of his defensive aura. He then began to fall from the sky slowly, like a balloon that was running out of air. As he fell, he launched another stream of water bullets towards Jenso, though, trying to keep him from getting too close.

~ Chapter 57 ~

_{Mikey's Battle Bubble, The Ultimate Defense!}

Mikey began hopping in place, tapping the ground with each of his feet and his smile widened. "Ready?" He said, not waiting a moment before he bounced high off the ground and into the air like a cannon ball. He jumped even higher than anyone Jenso had fought before, even Dacer while atop Tiger! From above, he thrusted his hand forward, and suddenly came to a pause, floating in place, before firing a flurry of small water bullets towards Jenso.

Mikey glanced up at the fireballs, but Jenso was upon him in an instant. Before his insanely quick strike could land though, Mikey's entire body emitted a thin layer of water that expanded rapidly into a massive bubble. Jenso's foot stopped against the water, and was pushed back, at which point, the two fireballs collided with his bubble and dissipated instantly. Mikey turned to Jenso and rose his foot slightly, which prompted a whip-like water stream to shoot up from the bottom of his bubble shield and lash towards Jenso, knocking him off his balance and across the arena. The movement Mikey made was tiny, but the whip was fast and strong. Mikey could manipulate the bubble's water with only the slightest movements. Perhaps he was weaker and slower than Jenso, but was his self-control vastly superior?

"Phew! I almost got knocked the heck out!" Mikey shouted, his voice slightly obstructed by the bubble, sounding as if he were underwater. "Well, I guess there's no hiding it now! Meet my ultimate technique Jenso!" Mikey took a fighting pose inside of his bubble, which was just barely big enough to surround him. The surface of the bubble rippled with bumps and little whips.

Mikey easily twisted away from Jenso's grip using the water as a natural lubricant. Although it did evapourate right afterwards, Mikey was able to back flip out of Jenso's range and land on his feet a few yards away. He stopped and aimed both his hands at Jenso, launching a stream of water towards him at high speeds. This time, it was meant to cause harm, as the jet of water was fast enough to knock Jenso off his feet.

Mikey weaved around Jenso foot and spun his body around again, building momentum to slam the base of his fist into Jenso's face, while coated in a thin layer of water.

Mikey immediately spun around Jenso's fist and tossed the water ball at his face gently, moving around him like a dancer, and using his momentum to kick towards the back of Jenso's knees with his left leg. The water ball was relatively harmless, lacking the sheer power and destruction of fire, but it was never intended to harm Jenso. It was merely a distraction.

"Just because you're physically stronger, doesn't mean you're gonna win! I just have to get serious!" Mikey grunted. "Fire, right? That's your elemental affinity?" Mikey stepped back a little and rose his hand, summoning a globe of blue liquid that hovered elegantly in place.

"Mine's water!"
