I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

In an instant, just as Jenso peaked over for the upteenth time, Nexus narrowed his eyes and stepped into his clone's range with his sword drawn back. Of course, his clone countered flawlessly, shearing through his chest with its sword. But with a quick flick of his arms, Nexus decapitated his clone, and snapped its sword, pulling the blade from his chest. The wound healed instantly, and his clone disappeared.

"Do you know why Prisma attacked Arcadia, Jenso?" Nexus asked, inquisitively.

Clarity

Nexus had stopped his mediation a month ago. Instead, he had been training with a blue sword that he'd conjured out of thin air, slashing and stabbing with unparalleled precision, at a clone of himself who did the same. They had trained nonstop this entire time, looking to land a blow on eachother's unarmored bodies.
Nexus didn't say a word, and returned to his meditation. There was a lot more to overcome for Jenso, and Nexus was looking to guide him. But where was this all headed? Who even knew what would come of this? Nexus hoped for more than most, although it didn't seem that way.

"Reality is perception. As long as you can perceive, there is a reality to protect. Your world is insignificant, but it was all that your perception allowed you. Now that it is gone, perhaps your mind can expand. The multiverse, everyone in it, the infinite lives that remain, you can protect it by being happy. Children are being born, love is shared, and worlds continue to evolve. No matter how many are destroyed, there are an infinite number to replace those. Be at peace with this fact, and you can be happy. You are still alive, and your memories can still be catologued. If you disappear, that is when your friends, and your universe, truly dies," Nexus explained. "Yzeira has a similar methodology, albeit one that places no value in life."
"Peace is not neutrality, nor it is silence. Peace is calmness, a happy feeling, where everything matters, but it only matters for your own happiness and well being. Becoming one with the infinite expanse of the multiverse, not separating yourself from it. That's where the power comes from. The multiverse is not a grouping, but rather a system, much like an arcane network- A living being, and we are part of it. Our existence is to protect reality, in our own way, no to protect our friends. Life is merely a part of reality. Peace is knowing the bigger picture, and being at ease with it all."
Nexus thought hard about the results of Jenso's meditation. The boy was not well informed on peace, or how to achieve it. Perhaps he didn't even want to know? Did he even understand what any of this was intended to do?

"Golden boy," Nexus called out, with his back facing Jenso.

Midway

Nexus had been silent for three months now, allowing Jenso to do as he pleased. Not once did he peer over towards Jenso with a shred of interest or inquiry, and it seemed Jenso had the same idea. But all this time would weight down on any man who was not used to the relentless suffering of immortality.
Nexus didn't say a word. Jenso was overcome by the reality of his situation. Without anyone to fight for, maybe he could finally let go. Maybe his loss could finally sink in. After all, in hopelessness, there rested a rare strength. The same strength that powered Yzeira, and the order of chaos in its entirety.

"What will you do now?" Nexus asked, keeping his body turned away from Jenso as he relaxed and breathed deeply, "Sulk like a coward? Give up on everything you have left?"
"It really shouldn't be a surprise to you," Nexus grumbled, returning to his position of meditation.
