I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

~ Chapter 104 ~

Aftermath
Prisma smiled and looked Jenso dead in the eyes, with a hint of sadism still echoing beyond their shine.

"Do not besmirch his name with such rancid lies, you filthy speck. You will fall prey to the chaos within the hearts of my family. Speak not for me, or Yzeira, but for yourself, and know that your weaknesses will be preyed upon until your last breath," Prisma growled, "Weak. You are weak. Weak. Weak. Weak. Weak. WEAK. WEAK. WE..AK.."

"I...Don't...Want...To..." Prisma's eyes went dark and his smile vanished. With his last words, what remained of him melted into a dark sludge, and his core shattered into several pieces.

"Diiiiiiiiiiiiie..."

Prisma was no more.

~ End Of Chapter 103 ~
Prisma didn't respond to Jenso's criticisms, taking them in stride. His next question was blunt, but he had a simple answer to match.

"They are gone," Prisma answered, referring both to Yzeira's people, and his home world. "They are gone," He said again. "Gone.."

Prisma's body began to decay more rapidly now. His right arm was completely dissolved, and his core crept closer towards his head to avoid losing its ability to communicate. It didn't want to die.

"I don't want to die," Prisma croaked, "I don't want to die. I don't want to die. I don't want to.. Die.. I don't.. Want to.. Die.."
"Love," Prisma croaked, "The most oppressive and destructive force in the multiverse, the cause of all. The origin of my people, the force behind your soul, the idiotic driving force behind all chaos that we Metalix had removed from our bodies, and our universe." Prisma paused and turned his head towards Jenso. "I was spared for the sole purpose of research. That man's intellect, and abilities, rival- No, dwarfed the methodical progress of the Metalix. He is only here to learn, to solve an essential riddle of the void. He saw our Arcane energy as a stepping stone, and nothing more." Prisma smiled wide and chuckled lightly.

"I respected him. I respect him. I wanted to be just like him, just like his people. So I played the part to the best of my understanding, slaughtering my own people by his side."

"Sometimes with a smile, feigning delight in their destruction"
"Sometimes with the desire for a rush, looking to prove myself and challenge my strength"
"Sometimes to answer a question about life, or my way of operation"
"Sometimes because I was forced to, against my will"
"Sometimes by accident"
"Sometimes without feeling or purpose, simple because they stood in my way"
"But never through my own intent. Never could I find- Never could a Metalix seek true motivation."

Prisma's smile faded, replaced with a blank expression.

"I wanted to be chaos. I wanted to be part of him as they are, become a part of his soul, driven by his unstoppable determination to learn, grow, expand, overpower, desolate, and move on." Prisma's body began to melt away slowly.

"Time is running out. I've yet to achieve my goal."
Prisma's mouth curled into a smile, ever so subtle. He didn't respond straight away, gazing towards the sky vacantly. "Because of him."
Jenso's foot was knocked back by an expulsion of energy, and he was flung away violently.

"Haha.. Haa$#, Stupid boy.." Prisma garbled, his voice slowly returning to a stable pitch. "Do not strike my core. I will perish soon, without your help... Feh, what a way to go extinct. So be it."

The Last Metalix

As the light cleared, Bruce and Jenso were left in the aftermath of Prisma's overload. Near the center of the giant metallic basin, now blackened by the explosion that had just occurred, laid Prisma's body, barely clinging to his core, which suffered a series of cracks flowing out from a small hole where Jenso had struck. From his abdomen, half melted against the ground with no sign of legs, to his head, his body was darkened. Half of his face was torn apart, leaving only his mouth and one glowing eye behind. One of his arms remained, the other completely torn off without any chance of growing back.

"Ha..Ha$1-&^^%#HH-HaH34!$@<ERROR>$#!Ha.."
Prisma's arms lowered slightly, releasing the energy that they had stored within in an uncontrolled expulsion of energy. But as they fell, he felt something graze the tip of his core. In a split second, his eyes widened, and his smile broke. In a brilliant flash of light, Jenso's drill struck home. Both him and Bruce disappeared from view as the entire valley was coated in unfocused arcane energy, bright enough to be seen from space.

~ End Of Chapter 102 ~
Prisma spun around and looked up at Jenso blankly. Suddenly, he reached out with both hands coated in a thick layer of arcane energy.
"Arcano Ultima: Overclock!" He shouted, grabbing the tip of Jenso's drill-like attack with both hand and holding it just a few inches away from his chest, where the core sat. "Hahahaha, AHAHAHAHA, YOU FELL FOR IT, YOU FELL FOR IT! FELL! FOR! IT!!!" Prisma announced joyously. Truthfully, his energy supply was limitless. But by overclocking his core even further, Prisma risked killing himself in the process. The energy around his arms continued to build and build, inching Jenso's drill away slowly. Occasionally, Jenso would get closer, only to be pushed away again, in a repetitious struggle. "I'll blow you up! I'll blow this entire planet to smithereens! All life will perish! Hahaha! HAHAHA! SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FILTHY PLANET!"
The core darted under Jenso and away from the flames, despite Prisma being blinded. A moment later, it flew up and into the larger Prisma's body, and granted it the ability to separate from the ground. The metal earth shook violently, but darkened as well, de-powering the clone behind Bruce into a lifeless metal husk. Prisma launched himself at Jenso, both bladed hands at the ready, and began glowing a brilliant colour. His body was about to grow again, but before it could, something happened, and he shrank back down to normal size, plummeting to the earth. His body began to dim as he toppled forwards, rolling constantly until he came to a stop, knelt over.

"M..My core!" Prisma said, in an almost human-sounding voice, much different from his usual reverberating tone. He stood up slowly and clutched his chest. This was the chance they'd been waiting for. Prisma's Core had been overclocked for far too long.

He was powerless.
