I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

As the lasers approached Geode, he rose his left hand up and opened it, revealing a black orb, similar to the gold orb in his right hand. Multiple cores, as expected. Or were they really cores? Something about him felt off. The cores he wielded were unlike golem cores. They didn't have an energy signature to them, nor did Geode himself. He had something that felt similar to Ki, but wasn't easy to detect. Something similar to what Vale had. Was it void energy?

"Black hole" The lasers that headed for Geode bent midair and met where his hand was, spinning into a small black vortex that sucked them into an abyss. Geode turned to Jenso afterwards and dropped his right hand, once against condensing the mist near the hole in the wall. The shockwave did nothing to it, and the fireball that fired up, after losing the flames the composed it in a split second, evaporated against the surface of the newly created sphere.

The spearhead from earlier split into hundreds of smaller shards, scattering and surrounding Jenso from all sides as quickly as they could, aiming to home in and skewer him. the larger sphere of energy spread out again afterwards, covering the wall once more.

"If you're trying to distract me, give it up. My mind can process complex information quicker than you can solve a simple math problem. That is assuming, you can even do math. Here's a simple problem, as a test," Geode mocked, raising his right hand. "What's Zero divided by Zero?"
"I doubt it," Geode grunted, clenching his fist. Suddenly, the void near the wall condensed into a thick bubble. As Jenso's Ki struck it, half of the orb was destroyed, but the beam was completely eliminated. Geode finally began to move, walking towards Jenso with his hand raised. He twist his fist and pointed his fingers forwards again, changing the remains of his sphere into a spearhead, and launching it at Jenso, while summoning more dark energy around his body, and sending it towards the giant hole in the wall.
The void energy that Jenso flew through quickly ate through his protective bubble. As it faded at different points across his body, the vacuum ate away at the flames that surrounded his body. The stone he aimed for cracked even further, but his drill stopped midway, unable to fully penetrate the wall. He made it just over 3 fourths of the way through before this, but his bubble was almost completely gone.

Vale continued to poke Oz's barrier curiously. "Ah.. So thick," he commented, walking around Oz slowly. "How long can he hold it, I wonder?" Vale's voice was blotted out as he spoke to himself.

"Foolish," Geode's voice echoed through the vacuum as if it overcame physical law, "I won't let you die, but to suffer? That doesn't affect my plan at all." Geode looked to Oz and chuckled to himself. "Of course, I already know the extent of your abilities, Jenso. I witnessed your fight with Prisma. Although, I did not imagine you to be this strong. It doesn't matter. In this Vacuum, you cannot win. I made sure of it. 4 meters of ultra-hard rock, the same material my body is made up of, a perfect vacuum created with the void itself as inspiration, and direct abuse of your fool-hearty nature. You cannot simply... Drill your way out of this one." Geode commanded his mist to continue after Jenso, surrounding the hole he'd created in the wall and growing outwards. "I fear nothing, not even your mockery of the Gaian's power."
The wall cracked more and more as Jenso punched at it, but he was working his way through at least 5 meters of solid stone. At the rate he was going, it would be a while before he broke through. Geode's mist faded for a moment, but began to encompass him entirely, growing and attempting to lock him in place as it drained his Energy.

Vale finally touched Oz's barrier, waiting for some kind of reaction to take place before he attempted to break through.
I'll join the discord. Writing my sheet up now.
Geode's eyes narrowed, and he rose his hands towards Jenso. "Cease that at once," He roared, increasing the volume of the mist around his body. It flung forwards, threatening to engulf Jenso's barrier with him still inside. Vale made his way across the room slowly, until he was standing in front Oz, peering at him awkwardly.

"Eh? What kind of magic is this? Barriers?" He hummed, reaching towards him slowly.
What's your policy on light-hearted goofballs with wacky abilities? Thematically appropriate?

And how much freedom do new players have when contributing to the plot? Can we influence the story, or is the a pre-set main plotline you already have in mind?
