End of Days RP (EoD - Mass Effect/Evangelion Inspired)

"Welcome Cadets, to Solaire," said a woman wearing a Framewerk suit that standing in front of the group. "I am Lieutenant Ritsu"

As soon as the woman introduced herself as a superior officer, Zan's military training at boot camp kicked in. "Attention!", said the tall guy dressed in military fatigues, quite loudly as he quickly stood up at attention and saluted Lieutenant Ritsu.

"and as of this moment, you are all officially government property and will be taking orders directly from both myself and-" said Lieutenant Ritsu before getting interrupted by a taller man with white hair, who shoved her out of the way.

"Oho! So these are the Cadets!" the white-haired man blurted out. "Sorry Ritsu, I didn't notice you were there! I was so excited to see the new Cadets that I could barely contain myself!"

"-a-and our XO Lorenzo," mumbled Lieutenant Ritsu as she tried desperately to regain her balance and give a salute. "Attention! XO! Shouldn't you have more pressing matters than to welcome the new Cadets?"

"Not at all... It would be rude of me not to. Besides, I'm interested to see what they can do already."

"I see... Anyway, Cadets, this is our XO on the base Professor Lorenzo, most of his work is classified so don't bother asking about it. Just know that he'll be observing our progress periodically from time to time to see how well we do. Also, we will be holding a mock battle in an hour to determine who will be squad leader... so do perform admirably, that is all."

"Hoho, so soon?" grinned the XO as he looked at the group of pilots. " Nonetheless do well and try to get along, introduce yourselves to each other why don't you, I'm interested to see how this'll go..."

After that Zan's new superiors left, he sat back down. Then some of the other cadets started introducing themselves, but Zan was distracted by his watch beeping. Which set to 'tell' Zan when it was time for his daily training. Zan clicked some buttons on his watched to stop the beeping. "I'm sorry, but I have to leave," said Zan as he stood up, "My name is Zan Carter, I'll see you guys later." introduced Zan, who then left to start his daily training.

"OJII-SAN!!!!!, WHERE ARE YOU, OJII-SAN!!!!?"

"Hanako!!!" yelled the old man, as he tried to figure out where Hanako was from.

“Well, ain’t that good for you, Ojii-san?” said the kid, that Ojiisan had pushed a little while ago, and the kid gave a warm-hearted smile and nodded in a direction. Ojiisan guessing that was the way Hanako was. So Ojiisan started heading towards that way. Then he seen Hanako with two kids that about the same age as the kid that he bump into.

The girl looked back at Hanako and asked, "Is this your Ojii-san, Hana?"

After the girl asked that question Hanako cried out, "OJII-SAN!", and ran and jumped at Ojiisan.

He caught her and held on to her tightly. "Thank goodness I'm so happy that I was able to find you," said the old man as he started to tear up.

After a while, Hanako stopped crying and turned towards the kids that were with her. "Arigatou, Nagayama-nee-san, Jax-nii-san. Arigatou!" YukiHana continued to cling to Ojii-san.

The old man bowed, while still holding on to Hanako, to the two kids that were with Hanako "Thank you for helping my granddaughter." Then he bowed to the kid he bumped into, "Thank you for your help," said the old man gratefully.

•Appearance: "He is 6'3" and weighs 200 lbs. He has short black hair, brown eyes. He has an above average amount of muscle for someone his age. He could be described as handsome. For noticeable markings, he has a scar on his face that goes from below his right eye to past his bottom lip."
•Age: "The potential pilot is sixteen years old."
•Personality: "From what we observed he seems to have his friends' back no matter what the situation is, and would die for them. He tends listen more that talk. People seem to come to him for advice, quite a bit. He seems to be an all around nice guy."
•Motive to live: "His reason to live appears to be to kill the Cruxi."
•Background: "From what we could find was that his family was average. He had five younger sisters. He became an older brother when he was eight years old. The last one was born the year he turned twelve years old. Both of his parents worked, so it seems he helped take care of his sisters. His mom and dad both worked, so helped take care of his younger sisters. The potential pilot had an extremely average childhood, until the planet he lived on was attacked by the Cruxi. It appears his family died on the planet, while he lived and made it off world onboard the last military ship. He became a ward of the state on account of having no living family. Later on, he was forced to go to a military boot camp for his behavior, which is where he is currently."
•Notable Deaths: "His entire family appears to have been wiped out by the Cruxi attacks.
•Other things: "He needs medication to sleep."

After shoving another person out of his way, Ojiisan felt a tap on his shoulder. Ojiisan turned around in response to the tap. The person who tapped him on the shoulder was a skinny young male with long brown hair. Then the male said, "Ojii-san, by any chance is that the girl you’re looking for?” while pointing off to their far right.

Ojiisan's eyes followed to where the young male was pointing, and then they met their destination, a crying little girl. From where he was Ojiisan was unable to tell if it was Hanako or not. "I can't tell from here, one way to find out," answered the old man, "HANAKO!!!" 'If that little girl wasn't Hanako, hopeful she would be able to hear him,' hoped Ojiisan.

Mashai leaned on his cane as he watched one of the younger employees from his old business hook up his newly bought NerveGear to his computer. Which he still barely knew how to use. After the young man finished hooking up it up, Mashai paid the man and said, "Thanks you're a life savior, I'm still confused how these things work." When the young man left, he decided to do some work around the house.

November 6^th 12:30

Mashai grabbed his drinking glass and walked into the kitchen. He walked up to the kitchen sink and held his cup under the faucet. Then he turned on the water; after the drinking glass was filled to Mashai's liking, he turned off the water. He walked into his living room and sat down in his chair, setting his drinking glass and his cane on the small table next to him. Mashai picked up his glass and took a sip of water. He set the glass and picked up the phone that was on the table and called to his daughter's house to talk to his granddaughter Hanako, who was his favorite grandchild but he didn't let anyone know that, about what the plan was for Sword Art Online.

Mashai walked into his bedroom, which he had just rearranged so his computer was next to his bed, and sat down on the chair in front of his computer desk. He turned on his computer by pressing the button on the front of the tower. Mashai wished everything involving computers was that easy, but sadly for him they weren't. Then he put the NerveGear on his head and calibrated it by patting all over his body, following what he was told to do. After he finished what he needed to do he noticed it was 12:59, so he laid down on his bed. When 13:00 arrived, Mashai said, "Link Start," which his granddaughter reminded him to say while they were talking on the phone. After he said that all he could see was white, then a lot of different color cylinders 'flew' past him. Then circular things saying one of the five senses appeared one by one, after a second each said "OK". Then the all disappeared and was followed by a blue box saying "Language" then another one branched off from it and said "Japanese." After that was a log in box, which he logged in. Next was character creation, which he made to look like himself only younger, by quite a few years. Mashai completed character creation and then a screen saying "Welcome to Sword Art Online!" appeared.

Then he was in the game, Mashai or Ojiisan as his gaming handle was, which was a phrase he picked up from some kids playing another game. He had to blink a couple times, because his vision was blurry. Ojiisan looked around, after his vision cleared up, and said, "Wow this looks so real." Ojiisan snapped out of his trance and started to look for his three grandchildren. After searching for his grandchildren in the Town of Beginnings for awhile Ojiisan decided to look for them in the fields surrounding the town. While searching for the them he was attacked multiple times by Frenzied Boars and Dire Wolves. With extreme luck Ojiisan survived all of the attacks for a couple hours. Then all of a sudden he was enveloped in a light. 'What the hell is going on," thought Ojiisan. Then when the light faded, Ojiisan noticed he was in the same spot he first arrived in the game. Ojiisan didn't really understand what was going on, but he got the gist of it, like that they were stuck in the game until they beat and that if they died in the game they died in real life. Ojiisan opened his inventory like everyone else, and looked at the mirror. After doing that he was enveloped in light yet again. After it faded, he saw his normal face looking back at him in the mirror. Ojiisan was wondering how it knew how he looked, but his thoughts where cut short when he heard a voice that sounded like his granddaughter, Hanako. So he rushed to where he thought the voice was coming from, somewhat shoving people out of his way, while yelling "Hanako... Hanako... Hanako!!!"
