One Christmas he got reeeally drunk and decided he was going to be a born again Christian, and never drink again. That lasted until the next day or so. I think that came out of listening to too much Christmas music. Every day in December he has it playing 24 hours a day at an excessive volume.

If alcohol abuse isn't exactly rare for him, have you tried getting him to go and get some help? Considering the strength of your response, I'm gonna assume your relationship with him isn't the best, but still - maybe he could turn things around with the proper support/services. I know fuck all about your personal circumstances though, so take that with a grain of salt or w/e.

I woke up at 10:00 AM and my Dad was already falling over drunk. He hasn't gone more than thirty seconds without trying to talk to either me or my sister, always in a drunken slur and usually about the same topic he's been talking about for the past two hours.

We should line up all of the world's most irritating people and see how many we can get rid of with a single bullet.
