@Shikaru Their job is protecting the Elemental Chosen Ones. They can have any power that isn't related to the elements. Such as blood manipulation, psychic powers, body manipulation, etc etc.

@deyinger No ordinary people do not possess magic. The children would be born in, let's say Atlantis. They would be hidden at the start because of the Prophecy. The parents or the children can know if you want them to or be ignorant of the Prophecy.

For animals and creatures, most are everyday animals. In Atlantis however you can expect more magical sea creatures.

@Pathfinder Not bad, good idea for a power. However if you want to, you can just have him able to see perfectly in the dark without that weakness. If you wanted a better power however, you could go with blood manipulation, but completely up to you.

@Pathfinder Most of this will be explained as I make The Elemental King.

But the big difference between Element and Power is and element, say Light can do everything you can think of with Light based powers. Such as healing, moving through the light, bending and controlling the light, etc.

The powers are powers that have no connection to the Elements. Nobody in the world has powers except those who are destined to help the Elemental Chosen Ones and the Elemental Chosen Ones themselves. This will be explained in the Elemental King's backstory.

An example of a power is Bone manipulation. It has no connection to any of the Elementals. And just seems to be a non Elemental power.

For the Elemental King, as it will be explained in his character sheet, he rules with fear. He kills every child and newborn baby he can find in the world to try and stop the Prophecy from coming. He rules the majority of the world except for one or two places he has yet to conquer. If somebody disobeys his law they are executed. However if you keep to the law, not have children and pay the protection fee, you will be safe and his guards will make sure of it otherwise you are ignored by guards, nor they or he will help you or he may have his guards kill you themselves.

@Conch Shell VII Good Cs. I'd change your power if I were you though. Your light element has the power to heal anyway. How about something like bone manipulation, density manipulation, body manipulation, etc? Now what are your questions?

@deyinger Animals could literally be anything as long as it is reasonable and makes sense. So if you REALLY wanted, yes you could have a turtle or tortoise.

For technology, think along the lines of Star Strek. They aren't advanced enough for a Star Gate but it's pretty close. You can have villages, towns or cities focused on technology if you wanted. Does that help?
