I guess people have wizened up that its kinda stupid to allow the duellists to attack each other in the middle of a children's card game...

because that be bonkers...

and what about the possibility of death due to the solid vision making things real/sold (towers falling on your head/falling a large distance)

Furthermore, physical interaction with the opponent while unusual and questionable, is permitted, as seen in the Duel between Iggy Arlo and Kit Blade, with the former, physically assaulting the latter for the entire Duel, arguably causing the loss, but with seemingly no consequences for Isao, while Kit had to be attended by a medical team after the Duel.
