Occupation: Overseer of Hilside Mine in her county, the biggest mine in the region. Also is consulted with the concerns and wishes of the people of her county.
Appearance and Personality: Elizabeth is 5'7, with a slender, pointed face and few wrinkles, despite her age. The only visible wrinkles that can be seen are around her mouth, most likely from years of smiling. She has auburn, slightly graying hair, and green eyes. She has a lithe frame.
Elizabeth is a cheerful woman at the best of times and a determined one at the worst. In her youth her only burning passion was service to her country. But then she fell in love. Her focus gradually shifted from the empire to her family and county. While she could've striven to be the head of the IMC, but family was more important to her. She cares about the people under her rule and could certainly usher in an era of prosperity if she became Empress, but she lacks ambition.

She played a big part as far as healing goes in the Second Livonian-Rozrrian war. She was deployed to a medical camp in the midst of combat and within 3 months turned it into one of the most effective medical centers in the Corps. For years, she served effectively and loyally but she fell in love with a foot soldier. They got married and had 2 kids, but he was killed in a training accident. Now she was 28 and alone with 2 toddlers. She stayed with the military for about 10 more years before she retired. It has been 4 years since she retired and she's taking care of her family and county, but certain friends think she deserves to be Empress and will lead this empire into it's longest golden age.
Motivation: Her main motivations is to protect her family and county, but those may very well change with recent developments.

And his parents encouraged him to enter the talent show to show all the other kids how good he was at singing. While shy and nervous at first, he eventually signed up and turns out, he blew everyone away. This jump started his temporary career as a singing sensation in the NAN and indeed the UCAS. He was discovered by a music producer who was watching his niece at the talent show. He immediately offered a 5 year contract to Marcus' parents who of course accepted.
Marcus's brief stint as a superstar was...tiring, to say in the least. Constantly performing at concerts, recording songs, interviews and whatnot. It was probably the most hectic 5 years of his life. He recorded 5 albums, an album per year, and performing hundreds of concerts. But, the contract ended, life returned to normal...over the course of 3 or 4 years; and he faded into history. His career as a shadowrunner started in a very abrupt in tragic way. A new gang had rolled into Marcus's neighborhood and they thrived on extortion and repression of markets. Marcus was 19, still living with his parents while he decided what to do with his life. For the past few years he had been working at his Dad's shop and now that he was an adult he worked full time there. A note about Marcus' father: he was as stubborn as they come. And when that gang rolled into his shop, he only had one sentence for them- "The safety is off." Now, they didn't like that one bit, but they couldn't make an example of him yet, not in broad daylight, they didn't have enough influence yet. So they left and came back in the middle of the night and nearly beat his father to death. Now, Marcus didn't like THAT one bit, either. His father was on death's doorstep in the hospital and Marcus didn't know what to do, his mother was a wreck and he had never been this angry before in his life.

Well, it varies. The Livonian Federation and the Xiang Republic both are pretty have pretty much equal sexes in the army (the former for ideological reasons, the latter because of sheer desperation). The Kubra Shah's army, meanwhile, has a strict ban on women serving in it, in any aspect. But I suspect you're asking more for the Imperial side of things.
Well, there again, it varies. Citizen women aren't allowed anywhere near the army, while noble women are grudgingly allowed non-combat roles, such as logistics, medicine, and so on. But the royalty- members of the royal family, closely related or not- are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want, man or woman. Of course, royal women still wouldn't fight on the front lines, but that's more because of status than anything; they generally act as commanders and generals.
I see, so is it cool if my, I suppose Countess or Baroness is a recently retired medical captain or major? (I assume it is extremely rare for non-royalty women to ascend above field officer ranks.)
