Looking back at this bio years later...the cringe is insane.

Hmm not sure if I should put mod post up yet.

Edit: I think this RP is so much better or not having our heroes act as victorious champions after the battle but instead as humans recovering from a painful ordeal.
Jack's Craft Shack, Outskirts of Manhattan
October 26, 2029
7:55pm

Cole sat by the upstairs window of Jack's place, his eyes watching the streets carefully for signs of DMA activity. Where he'd expect to see a squadron of DMA soldiers he only saw a group of thugs or a prostitute at the corner. He hated this place, the slums, it always felt as though you'd get stabbed or shot the minute you stepped outside. Most days Cole would stay inside and talked with the others to pass the time. But nowadays Cole stayed to himself, this place reminded him of home and it hurt to remember. The nights he'd spend sleeping on a couch he'd dream of Lauren or Haven and wake up in panic. Unsure of whether or not anyone was here Cole got a coat and headed outside, he needed to get some fresh air and get his mind off of the current situation.

It was easier said than done, as Cole walked the streets he could only think of the Blacksite attack and what would come after. The news had spoken about the blacksite being attacked and a group of metahuman terrorists freeing their fellow insurgents. In truth it was really just a group of people saving a friend. Of course the world didn't see it that way, they hated the metahumans and after it was revealed that a top DMA operative was killed during the attack the public was even more enraged. The news stations manipulated the story to make it seem as if it was a bombing of a humanitarian center or something. Now as a result the DMA has dispatched an entire battalion of Wardens to quell the insurgency in Manhattan. Eight-hundred highly trained gifted-hunters stalking a city under martial law. Reports began to pour in that the Wardens had eliminated 63% of the metahuman population in the city and once it was done there the movement would go on to other major cities.

Cole didn't regret attacking the blacksite, they saved Jessica and the gained another member to the group. What he did regret was letting Cia fight Pariah. If he knew she'd do what she did to the Warden he would have pulled her out. As much as he hated Wardens that kill was too messy, the public hated messy. If they knew she was killed they'd be angry but the way she was killed is what got them riled up. It was clear now that this group alone couldn't stand up to the DMA. They needed support, first they had to take back Manhattan, then they had to eliminate Mallory. Only then could they make an actual difference.
Timeskip+mod post incoming!
Oh you'll see, Pariah will be back and Cia will be at the top of her hit list.

Edit: Another thing, you guys wanna just skip to the group arriving at Jack's? Or do you wanna go through everything?
@ArkmageddonCat

I find myself refreshing over and over again to make sure no one posted and save myself from having to edit.
"I hear that, all this tension in the air I need something o take the edge off", Irisara replied with a chuckle. That was when she heard Evelyn reply, it actually took her off guard for a moment, "Never met someone who was 'pleased to make my acquaintance'. "Nice to meet you Eve, and you as well Mag. Let's get out of here, hopefully the drinks 'round here are as strong as the ones in Stormacre", some may claim it would be too early for nicknames but to Irisara it was normal. Back on The Amaranthea when she wasn't being the captain, Irisara was rather casual with her crew. Everyone gave each other nicknames, and despite it bringing a sense of brotherhood it made the crew vulnerable when a crewman was lost. That's why Irisara would never show emotion after a battle report. She had to remain strong for the crew or else they'd get weak and being weak was not a luxury one could afford as a pirate.

So far things were going relatively good, that was until Cypher and Gideon arrived. "Yo ladies! M'names Cypher Storm, and this is my buddy Gideon.", it wasn't so much what he said that annoyed Irisara but who said it. "'Yo ladies?' Who does this kid think he is? Ugh just get over it Iris, you don't want problems on the first day", she gave both Cypher and Gideon a quick look over but before she could speak Maggie practically spoke for her. "Same for me, if I'm doing this I'll be paid well for it. Gods know I could be on the water right now making easy coin. Ain't you a little young for monster hunting? No offense but I usually fight with men who can hold a sword", Irisara rested her hands on her hips with a skeptical look on her face. She wasn't insulting Cypher really, in truth she was testing him. The boy was here because he could fight, Irisara was simply trying to see what he was capable of as well as what kind of person he was.
