Perhaps its stereotypical to associate the undead with the archaic elegance of classical music, yet its sounds haunted the snow around the Guillory home. A distance from Carcross stood a lavish and grandiose home, outlined with wood and stone. Despite the large windows and inviting beauty of the property, so many chose to avoid the location. Inside the theme continued, thick and deep wood spiraled throughout the house, outlining windows and covering corridors. It was a home of money and history. The music danced evocatively from room to room, twisting round corners and along halls until it reached the first closed door in the house.

The Guillory's fed themselves on a banquet of hikers and citizens of the many towns nearby. The mountains nearby had claimed so many lives and it had become so rare that the police reacted to a report of a missing individual now; it was all in the benefit of the family. The tiny population of each town forced their happy isolation as city life remained unfavorable. They existed in their snowy paradise until time favored them to move once again. It wasn't a complicated life. They respected the rules of their world if only to preserve their tiny family.

It was safe for each Guillory to say how time had changed them all. Seeing numerous wars, countless rulers, and innumerable cities, each member of the Guillory family neither welcomed the change or abhorred it. The world seemed to have relax compared to how society had been some centuries ago. No longer did they have to hide behind regulations and regime. They had the freedom to express themselves; this existed to an extent, of course. Despite the freedom of the human world they lived in, their world of shadow required an unyielding constitution. They were the same as everyone else, depending on who you asked. Whether they were living or dead, it all relied on who asked.

None of the family cared for integration into the living society. None of them cared for regular jobs and making friends with what they considered food. The isolation kept them busy enough, savoring time to relish in their own pursuits, be it intellectual or cultured. The possibility of entering education had remained impossible for far too long. The necessity for birth certificates had rendered the family obscured from that world. Instead, the family pursued any hunger for knowledge through books. The family's interests drifted from the creative pastimes of literature and dance to the academic subjects of science and math. It was a side effect of solitude.

The lingering rhymes of Franz Schubert's Auf dem Wasser zu singen pirouetted throughout the house, echoing into each empty corner. Each member of the family had located themselves somewhere comfortable, enjoying their free time exactly as they wished.
My post won't be too epic. Wanted to set the scene before your characters came. That way we can work with how they arrive with a totally clean scene

Okay, so it's up, finally. Sorry it took as long as it did and that it's no way near as good as I wanted it to be...
Tall ivory pillars reached up into the far reaches of the plafond each dressed in a rich, dark Byzantium. To their left shone elevated windows illuminated by the flickering moon on the ocean beyond. The shadows danced about the floor, pirouetting a tranquil melody across the stone. The silence of his home seemed to echo compared to the city outside and the habour beyond. Rhoynar could feel his own weariness creeping along behind, ready to pounce the instant he let himself relax. Their journey had been difficult and less than pleasurable. The Knight turned to Illinfer as her voice cracked the silence.

"I'll show you your room. You'll find beds across the city but you won't sleep tonight. Not out there." He spoke in hushed tones, speaking as if breaking the silence would shatter the sanctuary he had established. Without further word, the man stepped forwards, soft footfall echoing through the room. He guided her through a hallway, illuminated with the lights of the city. Rhoynar guided his companion along dark hallways and up narrow staircases. The Knight stopped before a door, embellished with labyrinthine stalks and petite flowers, no larger than a finger nail. He pushed on the metal handle and allowed Illinfer inside. Before them lay a room detailed with the same richness and elegance as the hall.

"It's Ka'sai silk." Rhoynar commented, one finger lifting to point towards the bed. "It may be warmer here than the North, but you won't feel it. Not with that." The bed adorned a vivid red silk much unlike the silks that drifted towards the capital. He dipped his head and turned back towards the door. "We will take our boat after midday." He quickly departed, leaving Illinfer in a room bathed in moonlight. Beyond the flickering curtain, stood a terrace overlooking a shaded and silent garden, covered in plants not native to Illium, with the ocean stretching further than would be visible. The rest of the room, lit only by the small torches upon the walls, seemed warm compared to the ocean beyond which for now was still and serene.

Rhoynar continued his way along the halls, feeling his own weariness inching its way across his body, ready to claim his mind and body. He advanced through passages and corridors until he stopped before the first of his families. There was nothing to say any of them were hurt... His hand paused before the door of his youngest sibling, allowing himself a moment to ensure his silence. He eased the door quietly and stopped as soon as the silhouette was visible. Seeing at least one member of his family sleeping safe gave way for a wave of reassurance and solace to crash against him. Illinfer had been correct all this time. He eased the door back once again, his shoulders unwinding. He remained in his spot for a moment and stifled a yawn. He quietly made his way to his own room, ignorant to the hum of the world outside. His foot ached and his mind throbbed for bed, calling for the rest he desperately needed.

Haha, yeah, stupid autocorrect. It's the early mornings and late finishes. All my kitten enjoys playing at 4am through to about 8 so don't get much sleep then XD

Aren't we all. It totally sucks >.<
I'm okay, exhaunted but okay XD
What about you?
Schweet. I have Monday off work so I'll definitely be able to post
It's not the best character sheet but its up!
I'm not so good at them so I'll add to it as we go, I don't want to define him totally before I get to know him as a character XD
Khal'Jaa nar Rhayya

HEIGHT: 5'8 | WEIGHT: 126 / 137.2 | HAIR COLOUR: BLACK | EYE COLOUR: WHITE

AGE
29

PERSONALITY
Khal left the flotilla naive and unsteady. His views on his upcoming Pilgramage was phlegmatic and apprehensive. However, like most Quarian's, Khal found himself stranded on a planet with little prospect of leaving. After a series of terrible decisions, Khal's perspective changed. He is no longer naive and doesn't let the galaxy push him over as it did before.

CLASS
Sentinel

WEAPONS
M-98 Widow
M-6 Carnifex

SKILLS
Decryption
Stasis
Electronics
Lift

COMBAT STYLE
Khal prefers to keep his foes at a distance. If he can, he'll gain the upper hand. Got a mech? Not anymore you don't! Khal will agree he feels much, much safer at a distance than if the firefight got too close. Although he's capable with a pistol, it just isn't the same. Despite the supreme rarity of Quarian biotics and his being powerful among his own kind, Khal is less than average in comparison with the rest of the galaxy; this hasn't stopped him being somewhat of a commodity or collectors item.
Wooow!

It'll be much later tonight that I'll have my character up, need to get home first >.< haha
@Altered Tundra probably my fault. All the mentions disappear if you read one so it was probably my fault >.<
