Well, I don't know the actual source- just that it's been used. My brother would buy stuff either from Amazon or from milsurplus stores. I know for a fact that the gloves/kneepads have been used quite a bit, but b eyond that, I don't know too terribly much.

Gloves and boots and uniforms (and eye protection sometimes) are often privately purchased, so any schmuck can buy those. Knee pads and junk are sorta private purchase but at the same time issued? Mine were issued... I dunno, but unless he sold him bulletproof vests and night vision goggles then I assume you'd be fine.

That might tip the government investigation detector off.

If I could find a picture of it, I'd post my time at Halloween, when I borrowed my brother's US Marine gear. Not that he was in the US Marines- he just bought a bunch of gear from vets who came back and sold it. Real tactical vest, fatigues, gas mask, gloves, kneepads, the whole shebang. It's amaze

gasmask is bloody hot, tho
had to wear a service cap most of the time

You can see part of it in my profile pic. Helmet's a fake- my brother had two sets, one for the desert, and one for forests and fields- but the gloves and such were only desert, so desert it was! Helmet's the only fake.

And now my brother has a Kriss Vector, so I'd look even more awesome now...

I feel like you can get in a ton of trouble for selling that shit... I have to turn all mine in when I leave the unit.
I suppose when you've put thought into the form numbering scheme and regulation names of a fictional bureaucracy system then your RP might have gotten a tad deep.

I've been cooking up lore for Form 23-56 and Publication 12-79 and all that jazz.
Fun facts, burst mode fucking blows. Tried it at the range with an M4 (none of this newfangled M4A1 shit) for shits and giggles and ended up almost having target practice with the ceiling. Okay, so that's an exaggeration but still, only use burst or automatic fire for target suppression and never to actually kill a fucker. I was disappointed.

I've also almost melted the barrel of an M240 because my bursts were too long, in a related but unrelated fact.

Nothing wrong with snuggling up with your battle buddies in the sleeping bag. Completely naked.

(To be fair, that's actual medical doctrine to warm up a cold cat, so it's not too gay.)
I caved in and bought a Gerber Paraframe for a carry knife, it showed up today and life is good.

Also, IF I CAN WRITE A POST YOU CAN WRITE A POST AS WELL.

But seriously, I'm glad someone found success with that app :)

Make your Tinder picture you with a plastic lawn flamingo and set your radius to include New York City. Also, I guess step one still applies.

You just won hooking up.

Good God we've got a lot of socialist/communist nations. At this rate capitalism will be history by The 60's.

No problems here, then.

To be fair, that and outright fascism are usual responses to economic crises. They're very extreme answers to very extreme situations where the usual shit just don't cut it.

And Latin America has a strong undertone of socialist or communist politics. Mexico has a lot in its post revolution constitution that was enforced by people like Calles.

I've heard running helps too. Also the Burt's Bees one sounds more painful than the hot sauce for some reason.

Well the whole point was I was in a stationary guard position staring at trees for twelve hours at a time. The Burt's Bees gives you a pretty good feeling. I'm not even bullshitting, it feels like a cool breeze on your eyelid. It doesn't go in your eyes, just on top of the eyelid.

Similar to powdering your balls with foot powder, but I don't think many people realize that joy.
Aunt decided to have the maid and an energy inspector over today.

Usually, I don't complain about being woken up early, but I hardly had any sleep last night and I doubt my aunt would allow me to nap since she's usually a stickler for such things. I wouldn't be so bothered by this if I could keep my eye lids open and didn't have SAT prep today.

So if there are three things I learned in the Army to keep awake it's:

#1: Apply Burt's Bees directly to your eyelids.
#2: Eat coffee grounds, it tastes like ass but it wakes you up.
#3: Try smokeless tobacco (not smoking, smoking is for stress while dip is for waking up.) I'd recommend Grizzly for the hard-hitting buzz, Copenhagen if you want to chill.

I guess we could do a fourth, but smearing hot sauce in your eyes isn't an appealing option. But with those tricks I managed to stay awake on three hours of sleep a night for a good week or so. Maybe five hours a night for the preceding three weeks.
