Magic and myth has from the beginning of time been kept separate from the normal world - but this separation was one that came about through choice and labor. Men of the normal world cannot cope with that which exists only in their fantasy's, for those not prepared to handle it's mysteries will be driven to madness.
Still, to those that find themselves apart of the Hidden World, you find yourselves born with the responsibility to keep the two worlds from spilling into each other. You are secret-keepers, tasked with defending the equilibrium of the world; guardians that are chosen keep the anomalies to a minimum.
Thousands of years ago, there was no guidance, no instruction, no introductions into this world. Consequently, the border of these two worlds was constantly broken. The effects of this are seen in our myths; men driven mad by gods, hundreds slain by monsters unkillable, and entire civilizations destroyed by storms of power unknown.
Be thankful, those that are born in modern times, that this has long since changed. The custodians of today have long embraced their responsibilities to the world, and have kept that border from falling again. Part of these responsibilities is rearing the next generation of guardians and breaking them into the world that they must live in.
To that end, several hundreds of years ago, multiple schools were formed to guide these young ones properly. In all the world, there are seven in total, one for every continent. Each has their own things to teach, their own methods of balancing the world. This is were the legends of today are made . . .
This is where your own legend can be made
