So the answer to Wind's question is blatantly yes. Specifically for Essence: Lazarus was written while listening to I'm Shipping up to Boston, on repeat. Ian was written while listening to Victor and his Demons and Shaylee was written to Mordred's Lullaby (Nightcore version not the original, and I may or not have been listening to I like it Loud, as well but that's a different story). You can note that all of those are basically Irish rock. Essence has always required Irish rock to write for, don't ask me why. I've done some of my best work for Essence listening to Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys and Enter the Haggis (not Irish but close enough).

As for playlists I do have them XD I wont write fight scenes unless i'm listening to Fallout boy, Paramore or some of Imagine Dragons, Three Doors down or Nickle backs songs.

To round all of this out I actually pulled one over on Wind that I've never shared but I thought I might as well now since we're talking about musician characters. Ian is actually a reference.

I was a musician all through high school, only guy in the Flute section and Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull was my hero. All of Ian's solo posts are written to Jethro Tull if they aren't a fight scene. (For reference my last post was written listening to Hymn 43 if you were wondering)

And for Wind's personal chuckle. My OC Christian Highfell, His character sheet was written to a metal version of the Song of Storms ;) I'm as cheeky as they get.
@Fairessyou are my new best friend. Besides maybe Wind. Knighthood, my original setting when it was first conceptualized it was created as an extention of the Redwall universe. Turns out I've always been this nerdy
@FairessMedium, Although I work for a Thai Resturant and I regularly consume what is known as Thai Hot ;) I just find chips and salsa to be the sort of thing to be enjoyed thoughtlessly while Pad Thai, Thai Basil or any number of curries require proper attention to eat, at which point its more enjoyable to eat something spicy. Strange I know but there it is.

Okay your turn. Favorite childhood author and the work they are best known for as a reference in case I dont recognize the author
@HowlerNah i feel ya mate. Thats part of why i avoid games that dont have a darker tone
@Howler

Shaylee- This character should come off as insecure, kind of spoiled, a little bratty, way too naturally skilled for her own good. That being said she should grow on you over time and you should like her as a sweet girl underneath the spoiled brat. As for how i convey it. Largely through her interaction with Lazarus and how she reacts to not getting her way or having his attention

Ian- Of all my characters Ian should feel like a man who has survived a mid life crisis . He's a wanna be dad but he should come off as a decent man with too many voices in his head. Not crazy mind you but strained. -Read my posts XD large parts of Ian's posts are his internal dialogue which should give you a window not only to what he's experienced but what he's experiencing

Lazarus- This one is hard. Lazarus should give you some insight into me personally. If I COULD be a necromancer i'd be Lazarus. That being said you should come away with the sense of a man who would really like to live quietly with his wife but keeps having that snatched from him. He also should come off as eccentric which given his penchant for running around shoe less and him being retired until the start of this season i think im doing alright. We'll see Lazarus is one of my most dynamic characters.

Okay your turn: Tell us about your absolute worst failure of a character. for whatever reason it failed and did some miserably.
@CaitsAwesome. I expect to see you lurking ;) see ya round Caits take care
@CaitsPlease stalk me (That sounds desperate). AND. you could bring Ashleigh to essence. Its a little darker and a bit more magic based but a human psychic would totally fit in and she could be an academy student. Just a thought.
Hey y'all. Ive been kind of absent minded about Essence so I'm going to step up my time here a bit. Wind has been doing awesome things in her life so I figure I can be here to entertain.

Okay I have a new game for y'all

Ask Merlin.: You may ask me one of three types of questions: 1. Riddle 2.Writing or 3. Real life.

You can ask one at a time and I'll give you an honest answer (or attempt if its a riddle), here is the catch.

I get to ask the same type of question of you!

Alright bring it on.@Wind Wild@Fairess@Howler
@CaitsI'm sorry Caits I havent seen the vast majority of our players in a while and my own energies had been greatly divided. I hate closing RPs especially since there is always someone who is having lots of fun. You have been a total blessing and I really hope you and I can write again in the future. If its okay would you mind if I add you as a friend on the guild?
@HankHey how are things going? We going to get a start at somepoint?
