You know,i think if anyone noticed Gabe around, they'd be pretty bloody scared. It would habe to be like noticing Cain or... Jesus. ... And btw Jesus was not a vampire!
He formed a cult, made them drink his blood, came back from the dead, caused others to come back to the dead, was nailed to a giant cross, and impaled with a wooden spear. I'm telling you, everything fits. Jesus was a vampire. Don't tell Kami no Kage though.
His allies had not arrived. This did not bode well. 57 couldn't fathom what could have halted his reinforcements, but whatever it was would have to wait. If truly another enemy did approach from behind, he would prefer to be in the center of enemy territory when that enemy struck out. The signal was given, transmitted through the digital network that linked the Plasma Drills. With a burst of bright light, a seemingly infinitely thin line of white plasma shot down from the center of the three great drills. However, it would suffice. Anything near the beam was instantly molten, thick layers of earth and stone reduced to lava in seconds, the armored steel exterior of the base didn't make much of a difference. Heat waves flowed through the forest, and trees as far as 20 meters from the beams burst into flames, dry tinder catching the heat of the wind. Within the base, it would be far worse, whatever forces had been stationed beneath the impact zones would be decimated instantly. That 3 seconds of beaming had drained the entire energy reserves of the ships, which would need to head back to HQ to recharge, lest they risk losing control of the plasma. However, it had most definitely been enough. The first hole served as an entryway for a series of spider-like drones, clambering down the still superheated passageway with ease, dual machine guns already lowered from the armoured central hub. The second holewas surrounded by several more, who would move in as a second wave one the enemy forces had focused on the location of the initial strike. And the third hole would serve as his own entrance. With or without allies, the show must go on. Rushing forward, 57 jumps into the hall, streams of lava running besides him, the temperature even inside his suit building up to highly uncomfortable levels. As he landed, rolling into the corridor, and then swiftly jumping over a pool of molten steel, he thanked his creators for his superhuman endurance, which had once more saved him. Then, he pulled out his blade, swiftly moving along tight corridors and alleys, avoiding those that would run into him, slaughtering those he could not avoid. His target was the hospital.
I was planning on waiting with the raid until everybody was there, but it seems Makarov and DJ have simply vanished. Posting now.
Hmm.... I should probably post.
Also, Rusalka, post in Areopolis, damnit.
Yes. However his presence has caused a supernatural pull in the local environment (per your post), hence why Bedivere noticed his presence, yet did not address the vampire as he did with Lady Mo.
Ah, sorry, I misinterpreted your post, then.
((Damnit, I was waiting on Rusalka)) As the small group of guards and mages emerged from the open passageway, the beast turned to face them, green slit eyes focusing on this new prey. It's winged claws reached out, gripping the ground, as if to tether it in place. The long, scaled neck pulled back, an almost malicious gaze in the serpentine eyes. With a great rush of wind, it seems to inhale, it's chest inflating more than would be deemed physically possible, A red glow already escaping from between the rows of dagger-like teeth. With an explosive roar, flames burst from it's maw as it threw it's head forward, a wall of fire seeming to rush towards the young heroes, undaunting and unforgiving. And, far above, the arcane eye of the Glass could do nothing but watch.
Grey, Gabriel isn't actually at the vampiric gathering, he's just standing in a hill.
That's such a weird word......
Nah......
Twilight. It was a time of transition, when the light of the sun gave way to darkness. The time when those who feared the Lord would come out of hiding, believing themselves to be stronger cloaked in shadow. The attacks up until now had only been the beginning. Every method of tracking available had shown all known 'Feral' Elder Vampires heading towards this location, a congregation of ancient demons, those who would defile the name of the Lord, and take His place. Soon, the horses of apocalypse would ride out, and war would be upon them. Little did the beasts know that it would be them who would fall. Smoke curled up into the darkening sky, a pipe held in ironclad fingers. With the sound of a sword leaving the sheath, a visor slid down over the lower half of the paladin's face, as he discarded the pipe. Standing, he moved forward, the figures around him following his lead. It was time for war. -------------------------------- Panic ran through the streets of Kilo Point, as great tanks emblazoned with the flaming cross drove through the market square. Far above, helicopters gathered, great smoke machines prepared to blanket the ground in The Breath of God. Already, teams of ex-SOLDIER special forces were setting up great crucifixes, lit brightly aflame. Marching rapidly, the forces filled the city in moments, SOLDIER troops nervously raising their weapons, moments from hostilities, unsure whether to shoot the extremists. Loud voices echoed through the streets. And yet, both the demands of SOLDIER and the protests of civilians grew silent as the armor-clad figure of Kami no Kage marched through the central streets, heading straight towards the main SOLDIER base. A mechanical voice called out, emotionless, unidentifiable. 'Heretics of SOLDIER! Lay down your arms, we are not here to kill you. We bring the Hammer of Wrath, to slay the foul beasts that plague this land!' Unhindered by the snipers already taking their position, Kami no Kage kept walking, heading straight towards where Matt was standing near the front gate. 'We will purge this place clean of all impurities. Let it be known that the Warriors of God stand with you this day.' It would have been awfully dramatic, had it not been spoken in that mechanical, monotone voice. And yet, the heavily armed tanks taking up their position behind Kami no Kage added a certain.... edge to his words.
