Just a random guy, doing random things. Main RP: Hell's Coffee Lounge Current RPs change often enough that it's too much effort keeping a list of them updated.

That sounds exactly like the kind of thing he'd do ^-^

@VitaVitaAR

Right, I'll remove those then.
"And the best part is that she never noticed!"

Chuckling at his own joke, Don Damarque glanced out of the Taxi's window as they parked in front of the rather imposing Luthorcorp building. With a swift goodbye he opened the door, a practise returning the picture of his daughter to it's rightful place in his wallet. Stepping out of the cab he made sure to pay the driver before turning towards the titanic construct of steel and glass. The smile faded from his face as he gazed up at the Luthorcorp tower. It towered over the surrounding buildings, stainless and perfect like something from some science fiction movie. This building was owned by Alex Luthor, the man who would determine Don's future. This realisation did nothing to diminish the structure's natural aura of intimidation. A perhaps unintentional side effect of it's size.

As he stepped forward, he mentally reviewed how he'd managed to get at this point. Not two years ago he was just a middle-aged accountant, a single cog in the machine of society. In that time he had become many different things, but most prominently he had become a monster. A man who had forsaken his humanity in exchange for the life of his only daughter. A selfish wish, granted by a fickle god. Even now he did not know whether or not he regretted his actions on that fateful day, but what he did know is that he had been given a second chance. When the rest of the world wanted him dead, the Dark Knight, Batman, had seen the man in him. He could never wash the blood of the innocent off his hands, but he could spend his life saving others. While he might never truly atone for what he had done, the least he could do was to use the gifts that had been given to him in service of the world. And that started here, with the Luthercorp building and this new team of superheroes. His second chance.

Taking in a deep breath, he walked through the building's revolving doors. A secretary noted down his name and told him to wait. He took a seat on a clean plastic chair in a marble-and-steel room. Sunlight filtered in through a series of large windows that lent the waiting area an air of levity, of open spaces. He appreciated it. It helped him suppress the doubts that seemed to have taken hold of his stomach. A short eternity later, or a mere twelve minutes according to the clock, other heroes began to filter in. A lady in green wearing metal bracers, reminiscent of Wonder Woman. Another girl clad in a large brown cloak, who smelled of smoke. The last to arrive was a metal-clad creature that barely looked human, although Don wasn't one to judge. It seemed these were the people that he would be fighting alongside, the other heroes in his team. They certainly looked the part, fancy outfits and inhuman physique. As for himself Don felt slightly out of place, nervously rubbing his hands and smoothing his greying hair.

Smiling as he carefully cleaned his glasses, Don chose to address the assembled crew of heroes. "Ah, hello. My name is Don, Don Damarque, very pleased to meet you. I'm, eh, I'm also a hero. Here for the, eh.. the meeting." He smiled sheepishly, hoping he was not making all too big a fool out of himself.
@VitaVitaAR

He can call up Tanks, Cars, Armoured Cars, Helicopters, and even a sci-fi laser tank. It shoots lasers. Downsides include the fact that they always come speeding around the corner, meaning he needs to run over and get inside of them. Tanks and the like are also usually fairly slow, and have trouble in tight spaces.

If you think this is too powerful I can remove the sci-fi vehicles, leaving him with only modern military-level craft. Alternatively I can remove other vehicles, like tanks, from the list altogether. I like the power, but it's fine if you want to limit the list of vehicles I'm able to call upon.
So..... am I accepted?
Superhero Name: Oblivion

Secret Identity: Don Damarque

Appearance:

Powers & Abilities:
His magical powers grant him access to a number of abilities. He's able to sense the fear of his victims, as well as instinctively knowing their greatest fears. His powers allow him to mirror those fears. His powers include transformation, teleportation, superior strength and speed, and manipulation of darkness. Even at base he's quite dangerous, but his powers are increased by the presence of fear, especially the fear of his opponents. Direct exposure to sunlight weakens his powers, and prevents transformation/teleportation.

Personality:
To the casual observer, Don and Oblivion are very different people. Don is a friendly and goofy man, making bad jokes and small talk, smiling and whistling. A typical dad, with no sense of personal shame. Oblivion, on the other hand, is something escaped from a nightmare. Sadistic, cruel, and twisted beyond human recognition. While they are the same person, Don's personality is segregated based on his situation. While in the mask he unleashes the nightmares within his mind, granting him access to their supernatural powers but also causing him to slip into a darker side of his personality.

Origin Story:
When his daughter fell into a coma, Don Damarque became desperate. When all medical approaches seemed futile he began to dabble into the occult, but even magic failed to return his daughter. Eventually he performed a highly risky ritual and managed to summon Dream of the Endless to Earth. While Dream was able to save Don's daughter, his intervention came at a price. For his daughter was lost in a nightmarish landscape within the Dreaming, and if she were to return then so would the nightmares that so tormented her. Don declared that he would take on these nightmares, that his daughter might live. Dream complied, but Don refused to fall into unconsciousness. His life transformed into a living nightmare, and even his soul was replaced with the stuff of nightmares. After only a single day he was driven insane, transformed into a monster. He hunted the night streets of Gotham, spreading terror and destruction.

Inevitably the newly formed Oblivion came into conflict with the Dark Knight. While unable to defeat the nightmare beast in single combat, the detective soon learned that this creature fed on fear. As such he lured it to an abandoned area, and then trapped it until sunrise. Unable to feed on Batman's iron-clad determination, the creature was weakened and defeated. But Batman was shocked to discover that this creature was in fact a person, who was somehow linked to the Dreaming. Through a series of adventures it was discovered that this link could not be broken without unleashing the nightmares into the real world, but that through hypnosis and training Don could learn to control and focus the nightmares inside of him. Thus he became 'Don' and 'Oblivion', two sides of the same coin. With his powers under control he donned a scary mask and hoodie to fight crime as the friendly nightmare.
  • Name: Johny Gat
  • Universe: Saints Row franchise
  • Appearance:
  • Personality:
As second-in-command of the Third Street Saints, Johny Gat has a talent for mayhem. He's in some ways a good person at heart, trying in his own way to make the world a better place, but his methods are.... questionable. A hard upbringing has given him a casual, comedic attitude towards death. Despite this he's loyal to those that befriend him, and will happily lay his life down for those who manage to earn the title of 'friend'.
  • Powers/Skills:

    [The Badass Factor]
Like many of the Third Street Saints, Gat seems to be supernaturally badass. He regularly achieves feats that seemingly defy the laws of physics, can fistfight his way through an army of swat officers and can survive bullets to the face. He flips and kicks around and ignores the limits commonly applied to humans. While he may not be supernaturally strong or fast, his seemingly supernatural knack for achieving the impossible makes him a formidable combatant indeed. But do not confuse this for immortality, as enough opponents or a sufficiently strong enemy can still kill him. But don't expect him to go down easy.

    [Hammerspace]
As if it were normal Gat can carry an absurd amount of firepower on his person. While he is unable to spontaneously generate guns he can carry a lot of them, and switch between them with ease. He may rapidly switch from a rocket launcher to a machinegun, or an arm-mounted laser canon, or his signature dual Shepherd handguns. His ability to carry such ludicrous amounts of firepower assist him in his various explosive stunts and escapades.

    [The Gang]
Along with Gat come a group of 'homies'. While he didn't manage to bring along any named members of the Third Street Saints he does still have the assistance of his mob of nameless followers. They can bring him vehicles which seemingly appear out of thin air, show up to assist in fights (albeit in relatively low numbers), and occasionally just walk around the city. While certainly useful they lack Gat's 'awesome factor', and can be defeated with ease in combat by most.
  • Brief Bio:
Growing up on Saints Row, Gat was constantly surrounded by gang wars. Realising that the only way to bring any peace to Stillwater was by wiping out the competing gangs, he joined the Third Street Saints. From there he took the fight to his enemies, wiping out the Rollerz, the Ronin, and later the Syndicate. This version of Johny was never abducted by Zinyak, and continued to fight alongside the Saints as they took on Philipe, Killbane, and later the STAG initiative. He helped the Saints grow into one of the most influential pop culture icons in the world, as well as the undisputed masters of both Steelport and Stillwater. From clones to robots to hackers to zombies, nobody could stand in his way. But even as Boss was saving the world by dismantling a nuclear missile Johny was drawn into this strange world, seperated from the rest of the gang. With only his homies and his guns as company, he's set to make it big here as well.
  • Equipment:
A ridiculous quantity of guns. In addition to your standard arsenal of machine guns, smgs, handguns and sniper rifles he also possesses some advanced tech taken from the STAG initiative. This includes prototype laser weaponry, a device that takes control of vehicles at range, and a set of EMP shock bombs. He also has access to a variety of vehicles, ranging from tanks to planes to jets.
  • Others: slightly alternate Gat because I didn't want to use Boss.
@VitaVitaAR
Eh, tried to go with a nerfed version, but I wasn't sure of this rp's power-level. The OP said 'below continent-shattering', but that's fairly vague.

I'll try again with some other, less powerful char.
  • Name: Alucard
  • Universe: Rosario x Vampire (manga)
  • Appearance:
  • Personality:
In one word, Alucard is arrogant, an attitude justified by his immense power. He despises the weak, and considers them to be below his notion. Even more despicable are humans, weak and violent creatures. All humans deserve death, and Alucard is prepared to do anything in order to see this world cleansed of humanity. But even in bloodlust he has not lost his mind, and he is every bit as cunning and manipulative as he ever was.
  • Powers/Skills:
    [vampire physiology]
In all ways, vampires are more powerful than humans. They possess vastly enhanced speed and strength, as well as having bodies that will not die even if torn to shreds. As the Lord of Vampires Alucard is capable of destroying skyscrapers with his bare hands and toss around tanks with casual ease. If he wishes to he can weave a path through a hail of bullets, slaying his foes in the blink of an eye. And even should he be wounded he refuses to die, as his body regenerates from nearly any damage. Only holy water or complete annihilation of his body could kill him permanently, although normal water does weaken him.

    [Demonic Energy]
There is a power that flows through all beings, called Ki. But the power wielded by monstrous beings such as Alucard is far more intense, concentrated. This YouKi is the source of their superhuman physical feats, but those who master it gain access to various other abilities. He is capable of sensing any being that possesses Ki, or lifeforce of any kind. Other beings instinctively pick up on Alucard's immense YouKi, or Demonic Energy, which causes superhuman dread. It takes great willpower for a living being not to be paralyzed when Alucard chooses to manifest his YouKi. Lastly his YouKi grants him resistance to abilities that would drain or manipulate his lifeforce.

    [Transformation]
Among vampires, the ability to transform is considered with disdain. While arguably one of their most powerful abilities, their vanity prevents them from altering their bodies. In his rage Alucard gladly cast aside this taboo, however, and he is capable of transforming in any number of ways. Often this manifests as bladed tentacles emerging from his body, weapons forming from his arms, or him taking on some other dangerous form. Even now he refuses to use it to impersonate others, however, as his pride will not allow it.
  • Brief Bio:
All fear the name of Alucard, the Lord of Vampires. In his world Alucard was feared as something akin to a monarch among monsters, certainly a force that none dared to cross. Although he did not directly rule the other monstrous species, his power meant that none dared go against his will. Until one day the humans who had at that time conquered the globe encountered Alucard's isolated family. Enraged, spiteful and superstitious, a mob of humans massacred Alucard's family. When Alucard discovered this he swore an oath to wipe out all of humanity, and to ensure that this world was ruled by monsters alone. If his only remaining daughter, Akashiya Bloodrain, had not opposed him, then certainly he would have succeeded. Bloodrain gathered the most powerful monsters on the planet into the Dark Lords and stood against Alucard, in defence of humanity. An army of monsters marched against the ancient Vampire and his minions, aided by benevolent human kings, and it seemed that humanity would survive. But Alucard was not so easily bested. He would break the ultimate taboo, devouring all other kinds of monster in order to absorb their abilities, to transform into a creature beyond even vampires. He would become a living apocalypse, to cleanse the Earth of life in but seven bloodsoaked days.

Unfortunately for him, in this timeline, such an even never occurred. Before he could begin absorbing his fellow monsters Alucard was pulled out of his own world, and inserted into another. But even now he vows to return to his own world, and to use his power to eliminate the Dark Lords and erase humanity.
  • Equipment:
An incredibly snazzy coat and cane.
  • Others: He is not friendly.
