I am saddened to say this, but I think I have to go.

No one is responsible for this, and everyone here seems to be good people. Unfortunately, due primarily to a confluence of RL things, I find myself a little overburdened, and something has to give. To make sure that I don't crash, I have chosen this RP to give.

I'm glad to have met you all, and if allowed perhaps I can rejoin at a later date when everything else has improved. But for now, I have to take care of myself.
@MiddleEarthRoze The Giratina/Xerneas fight happens the next day. So both of them currently are elsewhere.
How long she swam in darkness, Rebeca didn’t know. It was pleasant, for once. No dreams or memories intruded upon her mind, no pains or irritations threatened to rouse her. For the first time in two years, she could just… be. It was nice, and she was sorely tempted to just stay there.

And then it changed. No longer was she alone in the dark. Something tugged at her, trying to draw her out. A warmth, a fire, a desire that burned, roiled and yearned, lighting up the darkness. She reached for it, but found her way blocked. A barrier, intangible but impassable, kept her from reaching that warmth. She tried to get around it, but could find no purchase in the cage. She could feel the warmth trying to get out, seeking her, but something told her that it was beyond her reach. Frustrated, she lashed out, trying to break it free, but there was nothing there to resist her. The only answer was a burning brand.

A shift occurred again. Another warmth pulled at her, weaker, but somehow more familiar and insistent, calling her back, demanding that she leave the darkness. She could feel pain and memory on the other side of it, things that she had hoped she could put aside. Yet, somehow she knew she could not. It was her pain, her memory, her burden. She turned back to the first warmth. It was patient, it would wait. Nodding, she turned back and left.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More than anything, she felt that she was awake. Pain wracked her body, though it was not as bad as she was expecting it to be. Everything was stiff and screamed in protest when she moved. The worst pain was in her head, a constant drumbeat that hammered against her skull, causing her to groan and press a palm against her forehead. That in itself turned out to be a mistake; a lance of pain shot through her side, and her body spasmed, which in itself only made things worse, coughing and whimpering as tears gathered in her eyes. Ow, dammit. Okay, that was dumb Rebeca. Easy, easy, remember last time.

Taking slow breaths, she winced as she wrapped her arms around herself as she sat up. When she felt something slide down from her chest, she opened her eyes. Someone had apparently laid a coat over her while she was out. That was… nice? I guess? Wonder who did tha-

She froze, her eyes widening, mouth gaping. Several feet away, embedded into the pavement, lay Mihkail. A large crack ran the length of his face, from which thin streams of blood weakly flowed. “…Mihkail?
@Ardent Dawn Heya. Mind assisting me briefly? We could do just normal posts this time.

@Delta44@DiZL ReloadeD

Cyra gave a low groan as she pushed herself up, shaking her head. Of all the things to do on the first day, she had to trip over her own feet. Wonderful Cyra. Really making those good first impressions.

"Are you alright? Here, let me help you up!"

"Here."

The two voices made her look up, where she saw the two hands reaching towards her, and her eyes widened. Nonononononono! No touch! Instinct kicked in, and she immediately scrambled backwards, bumping into the crate beside her panic. "No! No no no! I-I-I'm okay! S-see!" After putting a couple feet of distance between them, she finally managed to stand up, hands held in front of her as if to ward the pair of girls off. "P-please don't!"
@Rex I won't speak for the others, but I'd like to see how far I get with @Delta44 and @DiZL ReloadeD before I make that decision.
Okay people. How about we stop blowing up our characters now? Because that leaves a mark in the morning :)
@Ace of flames01 What I was asking is if there was a story-relevant reason for their gender? In other words, does it have to be a PRINCE of Darkness, or could a PRINCESS of Darkness serve the same purpose in the story? Based on your answers so far, I'm starting suspect that the answer is yes, that character role has to be male.

You also mixed up one of my questions. I was asking about the difference between dark magic and BLACK magic, not BLOOD magic.
@Ace of flames01 I think you misunderstood the first question: does the role specifically require a male character?

You haven't really outlined what the different types of magic are able to do. Some of them, like the basic elemental magics, are more or less self-explanatory. Others, however, are more murky.

For example, what are the capabilities of light and dark magic? What are the differences between dark magic and black magic? Are characters limited to the types of magic that their species specialize in, or could they learn other types of magic through their specific background or future actions? Can similar types of magic, for example blood magic and healing magic, have similar effects?

Those are just the first ones that come to mind, I'm sure if I thought more I could come up with others.
