Alex had been out of work, per a previous agreement with Dorian, for about a week after the incident. She needed time to recuperate and get herself back together before resuming her duties at the bar. Walking up to the large oak doors she pauses. Taking a breath and mumbling to herself, she breathes out, "It's alright, you're fine." She straightens her back, smoothes her hair with her hand and checks her lipstick in a pocket mirror before opening the door to the tavern. The smell of liquor and the sound of laughter fill the air and envelop her, giving an immediate sense of security.
The Tavern always had a way of making her feel safe. Walking over the hard wood floors, listening to the echo of her heels, she walks across the floor and takes a quick scan of the patrons. She recognizes some old faces and notices a few new faces, but she doesn't see who she's looking for. Good, she thinks to herself. No drama on the first day back. She takes a seat at the bar, watching the door and looking out for trouble, hoping that there won't be any. She hasn't needed to finish a fight in a while and she has an itch for one today. 'Lets hope someone starts something today,' she thinks to herself.
Noticing no one behind the bar, Alex gets up and grabs some coffee. While pouring a shot of whiskey in it, she sits by her place at the door.
