Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

@Vocab How was that for a send off? Sorry I couldn't seem to grasp the many Matsuta's all at once, and keep it believable to me anyway, so I kinda ignored that bit by having it narrated in third person... I hope you don't mind to much. I'll be happy to edit if you'd like it to go differently/add some insight on the many Matsutas.
Cin raised hie halberd and brought it down in a vertical chop, side stepped another slashing paw, back handed with halberd's spike, and then thrust under the snapping jaws of his opponent. Red lines scored it's hide as it's health faded oh so slowly. Stepping back again he whirls the halberd's head around him setting up for a horizontal hack, with the ax head. The bear obliges him by lunging into it, and shattering into shards of light even before the halberd struck, as an arrow zips over Cin's shoulder into the bear for the final blow. Cin recovers his balance, and takes stock of the situation. That was two of the bears finished, and Tsu and one of the new arrivals seemed to have the third in hand, so he took the time to glance around saw the over sized black fox snarling at the soft girl. Soft she may be, but Cin wasn't about to leave her to deal with the fox alone, certainly not since she'd taken the most damage. He took three large steps, and then lunged leaning forward over his right knee as he stabbed at the fox, but it danced lithely away from the blow, moving towards Iris and preparing to attack again.

Matsuta stepped in and dealt it a severe blow, leaving a red line from shoulder to thigh, as he slashed through it. It yelped and tried to dodge away, but was stabbed by a rapid, but weak, jab from Cin. It bounded back towards the woods, being the first monster to demonstrate a flight mechanic. Determined not to loose his prize Matsuta followed, and found himself entering the forest in time to see the wounded fox stop and look back at him over his shoulder, as another jumped at him from behind, scoring a critical hit. Matsuta whirled, and left several red lines through his target as he struck, reversed his strike, and then rolled it back for a third and final blow to the would be assassin. He'd unlocked a new skill with that flurry of blows, but he payed it no heed, turning back in time to see his original target leaping at him. A hasty thrust send's the monsters health plummeting past the red, as its own attack lands and returns the favor. Shock registers briefly in all the Matsutas... this was it, would they really all die in reality as well? His image shattered into the all to familiar cloud of glittering shards.

Meanwhile Cin takes a moment to drink a health potion and make sure that Iris and Tailpin are okay. Trusting Matsuta to take care of himself long enough for help to arrive should he need it. He watches Tsu and his new battle partner take on the third and final bear, ready to step in should they need the help, but there was still that archer, where ever he, or she, was so Cin wasn't too worried about them.

Hey, you okay? Do you need a pot? I offer Iris one of the three health potions I have left, in case she needs it. Better safe than sorry, right? I glance towards Matsuta, or more accurately what I could make out of his form through the sparse trees and shrubs. A particularly bright flash of light and the sound of more death, brought a smile to my face. The man had beaten the fox and would be rejoining us soon, or so I thought as I turned my focus back to Tsu and the last bear. I glance again at the strange girl next to me, hoping she wouldn't find me to repulsive for lashing out at those npc's despite her wishes to the contrary, but not feeling any regret for my choice. I had hated bullies for longer than I could remember, and finally, I was in a position to do something about the ones around me. I would not bother to waste any compassion on them, they hadn't seen fit extend any to me after all.

Ouch, Iris ain't gonna like that. Unfortunately, as much as I hate to slow things down a bit, I gotta head to bed, I have class early tomorrow and I'll be out the entire afternoon trying out sailing after my teacher conscripted me, so I'll be taking my leave now. 'Night, all, looking forward to seeing how things develop!

Looking forward to the character conflict, and enjoy the sailing!

I think Isa still has his shirt then, since the tiger isn't too much bigger than him, the other bits are gone though... *sigh* oh well, if this works even half way, which it sorta already has, Isa will be content with the results.

@DaredevilSpiderwhere did Jacob get the knife?

The same place all in mates get their knives from, his bum?

o.o

That aside guys, try to remember that we're fighting with our fists/claws/teeth until we can pick something up, like I had Isa do. Also, since it's purely genetic, Items probably don't shift with us, so the knives would be dropped as soon you shifted, (clothes too strictly speaking, but that's GM's call here)

Isa : Anisim Misolav

@KatherinWinter

I sling Blue and her chair at one of the guards, as the first dodged Isa's chair and shot a tranq dart at him. It thudded into the table near where his neck had been a moments ago. Isa ducked under the table, shifting into his Tiger form and pouncing up, onto and over the stationary wolf, that would surely be drawing most of the fire from this side of the room. A surprised guard fell under Isa, his weapon batted to one side as the guard tried to raise it at the last moment. Isa didn't linger, he sprang away towards the nearest standing guard pouncing on him as he fired at one of the others, jarring his aim and sending the stun shot wide. Isa left both with neatly twisted necks, before bounding back under the table, as tranqs and stun guns tracked towards him. It didn't provide much cover, but it was enough to prevent anything from landing, this time. He shifted back to human form, noticing a weariness pulling at him, and tapping into his reserves of stamina developed in a childhood of long hunts over rough terrain. He looked around and took stock of the situation. One ally was down, three guards were down, five others seemed to have been injured the last two, stood covering each other, preventing anyone from getting close.

One of the downed guards was writhing near by, bleeding out rather quickly, as a buddy with a minor neck wound tried to help staunch the bleeding. Isa somersaulted towards them and lashed out with his foot, knocking the kneeling guard prone, then grabbed the other's stun gun, from where it lay, and stunned the recovering guard, while sliding out the other guards reach, letting him bleed out on his own terms. Taking a spot behind one of the chairs he'd thrown, he shot a second gaurd as his luck finally ran out. The two untouched guards both scored hits with their tranq guns, on Isa. He ripped the darts out, but the world was already starting to spin, He got off three more shots, all aimed at one of his latest attackers. Assuming one those shots connected the number of downed guards would be up to six. Two dead, with broken necks, one bleeding out steadily from a lucky leg wound, two stunned. That would also leave at least two animals out of the fight, both unconscious, assuming the stationary lout of a dire wolf hadn't been turned into a pincushion, highly unlikely given the guard's training, but theoretically possible. Isa only hoped the remaining wolf and panther could finish the job since the guy from the shadows was apparently intent on doing absolutely nothing.
Posted, and Cin's to messed up to care if they respawn or not, he's been through a rough life. He doesn't want to kill everyone, but anyone who takes pleasure in hurting others, especially those weaker than themselves, are instantly on his hit list.
Cin stumbled and fell as Iri's quick actions deprived him of a target to hit with his heavy halberd. This delayed his response to Tsu's question. And then the girl said they were going to be let go, oh no, not a single one of these was going to get away Cin, he' suffered to much, to many times, for the pleasure of such as these. These were dead men.

Even as Iris gives her ultimatum I rise and stab the head of my halberd into the nearest unarmed and unsuspecting bandit, killing him. The others scrambled to their feet running away in terror, I hack the ax head of my halberd into the back of the nearest living bandit, he too shatters into a cloud of glittering shards. I move to give chase to the four remaining bandits, answering Tsu at last.

Slay the bastards, or they'll find new targets later.

A new chorus of screams and two flashes, accompanied by the roar of monsters announces new arrivals to the conflict. One of the monsters turns to charge Cin, who meats it with a thrust of his halberd. These resembled bears, and had high health for their level and moderate armor and strength. Claws raked Cin's chest, the breastplate taking brunt of the attack and loosing some durability, the rest of the attack knocked Cin to one side. He spun with the blow, bringing the ax head into the bear's flank, as he regained his balance. He noticed the two remaining bandits dash past him and grimaced, but then noticed two more bears one following each of the bandits, and decided he had bigger problems. His two hits had only dropped the bear into the yellow, it looked like this was going to be a long fight... He back pedaled just in time to avoid a second swipe from the bear he was fighting.
Is this RP still open to join? :) I love SAO!

please join us by all means, as I told lightbox earlier, go ahead and make a CS and tag @LadyTale for approval.
@Tracyarmav actually were kinda running right at each other, not away.

We are now, yes, though prior to the scuffle, and my asking Yuangi to have Iris stumble upon it as she scouted ahead of your group, the two might very well have been on entirely different roads. (just looking at the level difference seems to suggest different priorities, and potentially different paths, much less destinations, of travel) make sense? Forgive me, my mind doesn't think in lines, straight or otherwise, it plays portal and ignores/forgets/skips things that it should not and remembers/revisits/rehashes things most everyone else has left in the dust or simply deemed unimportant.

Anyway, we're all moving toward a lovely little reunion, that hopefully isn't to sad.
