That moment when someone makes a terrible OC with a cringe self-centered plot and you have no idea how to react because you want them to indulge your own shit.

Yumina Atarashi

Even though Yumina didn't want the weird pen, she couldn't give it to someone who was so eager to get his hands on it. For all she knew, he'd do something dangerous or stupid and she couldn't live with herself if he did something bad in which she had inadvertently helped. Takeshi threw his hands up as claimed to not care. She didn't believe him at all. "I...I don't know." She wasn't sure what would happen if the Pen and the Book were together but with the word 'death' so obvious and some crazy looking God of Death involved, it had to be pretty twisted. Yumina had to think that maybe finding it was something out of a manga. Very crazy but still very serious. She had to wonder if Kawano was thinking of the same possible outcome as she was.

The boy seemed a bit fidgety as he took the notebook back out and granted her a closer inspection of it. Her curious couldn't be quelled so she tiptoed closer to Takeshi. "Hm?" She squinted as she tried to quickly translate from English to Japanese. "The Death Note...and the Death Pen are both needed to cause a person's death? The Death Note cannot be used with any other writing utensils and the Death Pen cannot be used on any other surface." She frowned as he brain began to hurt. She hoped she was on the right track. English was a bit of an odd language but one she thought she was good at. "The next rule says um...the person whose name is written in the Death Note um with the Death pen will...die."

Now that sounded too crazy to be true!

"Wh-what?" She took a step back as a few other bits of translation leaped out at her. "These are instructions and guidelines for killing someone!" She gasped. Her heart began to quicken as she reached back out and traced a random rule with her fingertip. "If we remove a page or even a small bit of paper from the Note, it will still have the same power to kill." She frowned, roughly translating the tenth rule on the first page which was the last one. It looked like there were many other black pages with white rules scribbled inside. She took another step back and dug out the pen again, deciding to let Kawano look closer as well. Holding it firmly between her right thumb and pointer, she held it at eye-level for the boy to touch or observe. "Why would two humans be given such a power..." She wondered, despite having great doubts about it even being real.
Hisano was grateful for some more information regarding Tommy. Talesin seemed like an honest guy, if but rough around the edges. Hisano listened even though he was essentially feeding her bits, breadcrumbs at best. She was sure he was being vague for her own protection as well as his own. "Thanks." She said, feeling as though she had been saying that endlessly and it had begun to lose its meaning. There had to be some kind of way she could repay Talesin for what he was doing for her. In all honestly, she wasn't sure if she'd go to such lengths for a total stranger. In her mind, her parents' safety would have come first and if someone came in with some target on their back, Hisano didn't think she'd be as generous as Talesin.

Following Talesin, she wondered what sort of challenges would spring up in front of her over the next few days. She couldn't even fathom what the next few days would be like. The whole process was making her sick to her stomach. High-stress situations were not her thing and she felt utterly alone. Talesin was kind but she wasn't going to burden him much longer if she could help it. Tommy may have hoped for Talesin's help but Hisano wouldn't be able to live with herself if she cost people their lives. She had already lost so much.

The woman was led upwards to Talesin's own loft. All buildings were arching further and further into the smog-clogged sky. It was annoying because it meant the city was all the more cold and congested. Overpopulation was becoming a problem. People were restless, angry, desperate, hungry and poor. Those were dangerous combinations. Hisano tilted her head as she heard the security locks hiss. She wasn't sure how Talesin could afford such a luxury but it did give her some peace of mind. Maybe now sleep would come easier to the pink haired wanderer.

"Woah." She said quietly as she stepped inside, the wood lined metal door shut behind her. Hisano looked around, deeming Talesin a bit of a hoarder but it wasn't an uncommon habit that people had developed. Everyone had to keep things close, had to scramble for basic needs and these kinds of supplies that Talesin had were certainly important. Vital. Hisano stepped further in while the man situated himself on the couch. He picked up a gun and focused on it while gesturing for her to lay down. Her eyes went from the bed back to Talesin. Her nerves almost made her cry from his selfless nature.

People like him and Roy and Tommy were a dying breed.

Hisano had to hope she would be able to follow in their footsteps. She would ensure their deeds somehow lived on through her. Sitting on the bed, she placed her own weapons on the desk by the bed. As much as she wanted to thank Talesin once again, she refrained from sounding like some parrot or robot and held her tongue. Hisano also set her pack of cigarettes and her phone down, not wanting them to bother her as she slept. There was more she wanted to ask the man on the couch. He seemed like some kind of ex-military or someone who had been trained. It wasn't just the goods he had, that tipped her off but it was the way he carried himself and acted. "I'm sorry for all this." Hisano said quietly as she swung her legs over onto the bed and laid back, her muscles twitching in attempt to relax. Her brain was still operating as though she were danger but she told herself the door and the apartment were secure.

Even though she wasn't much for conflict or getting into messy situations, she had to accept that she was in one hell of a jam right now. And she couldn't run away. Those who were after her had near unlimited money. But whatever they thought she knew, she didn't. If there was a way to diplomatically settle this whole misunderstanding of sorts, it would be amazing but she knew that was likely impossible. Hisano had to figure things out. Otherwise people like her parents and Tommy and even Talesin, were all acting without purpose and she wouldn't allow for lives to be wasted. Her eyes fluttered closed, "Whatever 'this' is." She muttered, her mind finally shutting down.
Yeah the months of Oct-Dec always seem to be filled with goodness!

I hope your month is shaping up to be a wonderful one!
Okay, thanks for letting us know.

I'll get us a post up once I've done some fiddling to adjust one person dropping (in terms the two groups, it was nice having an even number).
@ClocktowerEchos @Hero You guys still with us? :)
Bump. :)
Credit cards can be sooo judgey. -frowns-

But but but~! I got a post for you! I hope it's not too crappy considering I haven't posted in ages.

I'm hoping I can get 2-3 done tomorrow and finally catch up this week!

-peace sign- I'm off for now, I'll be on tomorrow!

Niiiiight!
More than happy to accept the plate, he gave Airi a smile though the only real way to know the masked ninja was smiling was by the crinkle in his closed, only visible, eye. His eye opened when he noted the plate had been retracted before he could grab hold of it. Now she wasn't being fair at all. Kakashi let out a pensive hum as he kept trying to take it from the pesky woman. "You are so stubborn." He teased her. "You're fortunate you're cute." He teased once more before she finally allowed him to take the plate of taiyaki. "Mmmm." Kakashi grinned to himself, finding him quite hungry and in need of Airi's delectable creations.

Being ever so careful, Kakashi eat and soon finished what had been placed on his plate. He wondered if he could sneak another but before he could explore that possibility, Iruka arrived. Thankfully Kakashi's proposition was well received and he was glad to know he wouldn't suffer alone. Dealing with students wasn't something he took a lot of pleasure in. He knew his standards were exceedingly high and he doubted many would be able to live up to what he expected. Kakashi was certain that by having a lovely person like Airi there, students would understand that a ninja could be more than a ninja and that goals could change. But also that a failure didn't mean one had to give up, it just meant changing one's approach.

Already eager to head to classroom, Iruka was heading for the door while Kakashi was scoping out the table of food when he felt something pinch his ear. "Owww." He grimaced. Only Airi would be so bold. He swatted her hand away from him. "I was going to catch up with you two, I swear." He said though it was an unconvincing attempt to assure her. The silver haired ninja followed her out of the lounge and into the hallway. By now Iruka had gone back up to his classroom, leaving Airi and Kakashi to go at their own pace. He rubbed his ear, "I have half a mind to ask you to kiss it and make me feel better." He muttered.

When she brought up his new team, he let out a sigh. "Well Uzuamki is a handful but Uchiha and Haruno are quite exceptional. I feel Uzumaki has potential too but it's a matter of getting him to fully focus. His attention is on his teammates and not in a good way." He told Airi. "They are quite bright and keep me on my toes." He concluded. "If you'd like to join us for training, you're more than welcome." Of course if she did, he might give himself a few extra hours of sleep. Kakashi folded his arms, feeling like Airi might like to join Team 7 if she had a free morning or afternoon. "I believe you'd be quite an asset not just talking to students here but even helping mine or Guy's."

Of course he understood if it might be too painful for Airi, even if she might not admit it. Or maybe she was happy to leave that part of her life behind. Still, Kakashi didn't want Airi to feel like she had to pick between one life and another, and he would always support her, wherever her interest settled. He began to walk them toward the stairs to head up to Iruka's. "And I'm not just asking because I think you'd bring us something good to eat." He added before she could comment on that possibility. "...That would merely be icing on the cake."
I posted again to break up the flood of people arriving and to save us from having to say 'hello' to every incoming player and backtrack our dialogue. So if you posted, feel free to reply again if you'd like. And that goes if you post and someone replies to you, it's a small enough back and forth and may feel better than catching up to everyone in a single post. -smiles-

I won't intro KISU until my next post or maybe even the one after that so no one feel rushed to give a greeting and leave it there, if you want some back and forth with one or two people, go for it.

Upon seeing Grim fade into view, her shoulders relaxed.

"Hey Grim." She said, her voice slightly solmen as she found herself repeating the words from Kohe's distressing email. Allegory glanced sideways, as if hoping he wasn't hear for the same terrible reason. Her chest grew heavy when asked about the email. "Yeah...I did." She sighed and took a few steps closer to Grimsley. "It's awful news. I can't believe it but that doesn't make it untrue." Allegory commented. A voice broke through the painful silence and it turned out Duskwalker was the third to arrive. Allegory flashed a wave to her. "I believe in Old Norse this place translates to something like...the Cathedral Which Hides Heaven...or something. It does feel quite secretive. But I don't think there's any danger here." She assured Duskwalker.

Turning back around, she studied the empty spot where there was once a statue of a fabled girl. Now it was empty, almost lonesome in a way. "I had heard rumors about this place but never ever thought I'd be here." Allegory commented. It was amazing to consider how much work went into the music and graphics and millions of quests and stories. The World was a bit pricy but it was well worth it and provided Sachi a lot of inspiration as a literature major. Since she hadn't logged off yet, she didn't know that Kotaro was already digging into the mystery laid out in front of them though it wouldn't surprise her.

As he was walking along the golden stone root town, Kohe made mental notes of the hundreds of players he passed. In his mind, he couldn't be too careful or too suspicious. For all he knew, someone online had some kind of devious virus that could put people into comas. He needed to treat all strangers as possible suspects. Kohe knew there were hackers who played The World, he knew a few of them personally, but he didn't think any of them would want to physically harm other players. KISU stopped and leaned over the large stone pathway and down into the water that flowed through the city like Venice.

Kohe momentarily lifted his M2D and checked the time, noting he had a few more minutes. He wiped his eyes, as they had become a bit misty. He then returned to the game and saw a flock of blurred birds flying overhead. KISU shook his head and turned around, propping his arms against the rough stone barrier. Many players were happily going about their lives, making parties, trading items. Everyone seemed so oblivious but if they knew the danger, they would be better off abandoning their accounts. Kohe a contact at CC.Corp but that was proving to be a fruitless route. KISU continued to walk, the Chaos Gate was ahead, up a set of stairs and behind a large set of double doors.

It was time to get going and move forward.
