There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Bio

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Sho dragged his gaze away from the building when he felt someone collide with him. He staggered slightly, taking a moment to regain his balance. When he looked down, he saw a guy from his class on the floor. He snapped out of his stupor long enough to offer the poor guy a hand up off the ground.

“Um, sorry,” Sho said, still in a bit of a daze. “I should have been watching out. I didn’t realize I was standing in the middle of the hallway.”

He hesitated, struggling to remember the guy’s name. Tomo… Torai… Toushi…? Oh right, didn’t this kid have a nontraditional name? It was English, or something. Sho racked his brain, trying to pull out the memory. After a moment, he finally remembered.

“Toby, right?” Sho said, offering an uncertain smile. He felt his eyes slowly wander back to the window. He was hoping to look back and see nothing, if only to reassure himself that the figure in the building was only a trick of the light or his mind playing tricks on him. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Sho felt his blood run cold as a deep crimson liquid spattered the window of the abandoned building.

What the…? Was somebody just murdered?

“Did you see that?” Sho asked anxiously, his voice a bit higher pitched than he had intended. He wasn’t a coward by any means, but paranormal activity always gave him the creeps. Besides, even if it wasn’t a ghost, that would mean he just witnessed someone’s death. He blinked and looked back at the window, but the red stain was gone. Maybe he was losing it, but Sho refused to believe that he had imagined it.

He spun around when he heard a couple of voices behind him. Someone was standing behind the wall where the hallway turned a corner. Was someone watching them? He gestured for Toby to follow as he approached the corner. When he peered around the side, he saw a girl from his homeroom edging away from them. He considered calling out to her, but held his tongue. Instead, he tailed her down the hallway, keeping a respectable stalker distance of five meters.

The girl walked to another corridor, where she met up with two others who were also looking at the building. Sho frowned. Okay, now this was getting weird. Why the sudden fascination with the abandoned place? But then again… He stepped over to the group of girls and cleared his throat.

“Yo,” Sho said, flashing a friendly grin. “Seems like I’m not the only one interested in that place today. Would any of you lovely ladies like to accompany me on a midnight ghost hunt?” He paused, tilting his head slightly, and then looked at Toby. “Oh, yeah. You’re not nearly as pretty, but you can come too.”

“Hey, Sato!”

Sho turned at the sound of his name. One of his friends from the previous school year, Ryu, was approaching him at a trot. He had a glint in his eye as though he knew something that Sho didn’t.

“Have you heard the news?” Ryu asked, purposefully trying to build up suspense by refraining from getting to the point. Sho humored him and shook his head.

“Y’know,” Ryu went on, raising his brows as if surprised that Sho had no idea what he was talking about. “That old building by the school. I heard a rumor that the barricade disappeared last night. Of course, some attentionmonger probably just made it up, but who knows? I’ve heard some pretty spooky stuff about that place.”

“If you’re so curious, why don’t you just go check it out yourself?” Sho countered. “You’re always going on about wanting to meet your soul mate. Maybe yours is an actual ghost. How about you head down there tonight and tell me all about it tomorrow.”

“Who, me?” Ryu put a hand to his chest dramatically. “Fate wouldn’t be so cruel as to give me an undead girlfriend, Sato. Besides, I can’t go down there. What if some evil ghost sucks the life outta me? The school would fall apart without my awesome self to keep everyone’s spirits up. Hmm…” Ryu paused, scratching the stubble on his chin in thought. “I know! How about you go in my place? It wouldn’t make much of a difference around here if you went missing –ouch! Don’t hit me– and haven’t you told me you were curious too?”

“You’re such a baby,” Sho rolled his eyes. “Fine, I’ll go. Just remember, if I meet some hot undead chick, it’s your loss.” He adjusted the strap of his backpack over his shoulder and walked past Ryu, ignoring his friend’s sharp comeback.

As he strode down the hallway, Sho glanced out the window to look at the old building. It was indeed creepy, as any good haunted place should, but there was also something deeply disturbing about it. Sho just couldn’t put his finger on what. He stopped walking and just stared at the building. After a moment, he shrugged, putting the feeling off as his own paranoia.

Wait; hold the phone.

Sho’s eyes widened in shock when he saw something move in the window of the other building. But that couldn’t be right. The building was off-limits, so no one would be stupid enough to sneak inside during the day. Maybe his little joke wasn’t so farfetched after all. Sho mentally cursed himself. He had already told Ryu he was going to check it out. He didn’t want to look like a coward, so there was no backing out now.

He would find out what was hiding in that building whether he liked it or not.
The 23 days was for diseases, I believe.

Rule XXVII: If you write, die of disease for the cause of death, but only write a specific time of death without the actual name of disease, the human will die from an adequate disease. But the Death Note can only operate within 23 days (in the human calendar). This is called the 23 day rule.

That thing about erasing doesn't make sense...

Rule XI: The time and conditions of death can be changed, but once the victim's name has been written, the individual's death can never be avoided.
Rule XLI: It is useless trying to erase names written in the Death Note with erasers or white-out.
I think I'm gonna wait for Nobody and Falconi before I add my next post
