There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Serix

Age: 20

Race: Lunairan

Bio: Serix has only ever known the inside of a spaceship. He was born after the Lunairans fled from their own dying planet in search of a new land to call home. He was only four when they found the Earth. The Lunairans spent the next five years analyzing and monitoring the planet, occasionally sending down spies once they realized how similar they looked to the dominant race: humans. Serix’s father was one of these spies. He was also part of a squadron that spread the Plague.

Until that day, Serix’s father was the one who taught him about the humans and their planet. He always had interesting stories and tales of fascinating inventions. Serix was immediately taken in by the humans’ ingenuity and secretly admired them for their efforts, though he never told anyone about this. Not even his father.

Towards the end of the first infiltration wave, his father’s luck ran out. His ship was attacked by the humans in a last ditch attempt to stave off the Lunairans. No one survived. Somehow, Serix never felt anger towards the humans when his father died. Instead he felt a sort of pity for them. They were being forced off their own planet by a group of foreign beings they had never encountered before. It was only natural to fight back. His father was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

His mother didn’t share his opinion. She developed a burning hatred for the creatures that murdered her mate. She wanted to launch a full-scale attack to avenge him, but the higher-ups refused to let her take their fighter ships. They told her to be patient and let the Plague do the work so they wouldn’t need to shed any of their own blood. His mother would not stand for it. One night, she stole a solo-fighter and piloted it down to the Earth to strike back at the humans. It was still early enough that the Plague had barely taken effect, so the humans were strong enough to fight. They shot her down in a matter of minutes.

Still, Serix never held a grudge. He mourned the loss of his parents for a little less than a year, and then moved on. Even if he wanted to take revenge, it would be pointless. The Plague was already taking care of that for him.

Through the following years, Serix’s interest in the humans never faded, so when the higher-ups requested volunteers to scout out the planet he was more than willing to accept the mission. And thus the young Lunairan came to the Earth.
Avery chewed on the end of her pencil, staring at the computer screen in deep concentration. This particular firewall was proving to be trickier than she had previously thought. She typed another code and entered it, but nothing changed. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, balancing it on two legs. It figured. This wasn’t the first time Daggers had struck against this particular company. It only made sense that they would strengthen the barrier to keep her out. She smirked. Her name had spread far and wide as the most wanted hacker in the country and, as far as she knew, the world. Still, the efforts made to halt her progress were done in vain. It only took her fifteen more minutes to break through the firewall.

Avery copied down the information her client wanted onto a flash drive, and then entered a few more codes to erase her digital footprint. She ejected the drive and shut down her computer. The company would never know she was ever there. That is, until her client published the content of the flash drive in his news article.

While she wasn’t always confident in the “good intentions” of the people who hired her, Avery felt good about this particular client. He had explained that he wanted her to help him expose the company for fraud and misrepresentation. Often times, statements like these were just lies people told to try and convince the infamous hacker to help them meet their own greedy ends, but she could hear the sincerity in this man’s voice when they discussed the assignment over the phone. Someone dear to him had been a victim of the avaricious company, and this was his way of getting revenge. Avery believed him.

She wiped her fingerprints off the flash drive with an old cloth and slipped it into a Ziploc bag. She did believe the man had good intentions to stop the company, but there was no telling if he would turn around and try to get her arrested once he was finished with her. Better safe than sorry. Using gloved hands, Avery put the bag into the pocket of her leather jacket and stood up to go deliver it. She had made prior arrangements to meet with her client at 6:00PM. Looking at her watch, it was 5:28PM now. The designated meeting place was about half an hour from her apartment, so she would make it on time if she left right away.

Her phone suddenly went off and she jumped slightly. How odd. She wasn’t expecting anyone to call her that day. Perhaps it was the client trying to reschedule their meeting time or check her progress in retrieving the wanted information. She checked the caller ID, but it was an unknown number. She raised her brow in amusement. A new client, perhaps? She lifted the phone to her ear.

“He—” Avery started to speak, but was interrupted immediately by the person on the other end of the line.

“Walk to your window and open it. Fail to do this within the next ten seconds and you will die.”

The anonymous caller hung up. A death threat? Now this was getting interesting. Avery stepped over to her window and slid the pane of glass open. She leaned out to peer down at the ground below. However, she didn’t need to look that far. A young man stood horizontally just below her window, looking as though he had just repelled down the side of the building. Avery opened her mouth to ask just what he was trying to do, when his arm shot out and snagged her by the front of her shirt. She let out an undignified yelp as he jerked her off her feet. She felt herself suspended in the air for a moment before the stranger threw her over his shoulder, then she felt it again as he cut the rope that held him up and they dropped to the ground like stones. Fortunately, there was a second rope in place to stop them from crashing into the pavement below. Up above, she heard angry voices shouting down from her room. What in all Hell is going on?

Once he had solid ground beneath his feet, the strange man took off with Avery still slung over his shoulder like a ragdoll – albeit a loud ragdoll. She shouted at him the whole time, telling him to put her down and calling him some very unflattering names. But in the end all she could do was shriek and kick and flail while the man carried her away from the apartment buildings.

Avery could see people gawking at them in the streets, no doubt wondering if she was being kidnapped. And they would be right, she realized. She had no idea who this man was, and yet here he was forcefully taking her away. If that wasn’t kidnapping, she didn’t know what was. To make matters worse, a van pulled up and the man headed straight towards it.

“Where are you taking me?” Avery shouted aggressively, pounding on the man’s shoulder with her fists. “Look pervert, I don’t know what you’re trying to do, but I won’t go down without a fight.” It was a stupidly feeble threat, and she knew it. But she had no other options at this point. “You can bet you’re gonna be in a lot of pain if you try to knock me up!” The stranger paid her no heed and dove into the waiting vehicle which took off almost as soon as the door closed behind them.

Avery blinked against the sudden darkness when the light from outside was cut off. From what she could tell, there were three people with her: the kidnapper, another man, and a woman. All of them looked rugged and dangerous; a sort of people she was not unfamiliar with, and yet not a sort of people she wanted to be locked in a confined space with. She crouched like a trapped animal in the far corner of the van and glared at them. She wished she wasn’t so small; wished that she looked more imposing.

“Who are you?” Avery hissed. “And what do you want with me?”
That's fine :)
I totally understand! November was the month that got out of control for me to the point where I had to start dropping out of RPs
Sorry it's taking so long for me to respond. I've been busy these past few days.
Hopefully I'll get my reply up sometime today :)

Avery “Daggers” Collins

Age: 23

Personality: Avery is intentionally outlandish, with a wild personality. She can be argumentative and rude and always thinks she is right even if she isn’t (which, much to her satisfaction, doesn’t happen very often). She is fiercely loyal to those she deems as friends, but she can only defend them with her tongue because, being slight of frame, she isn’t much of a fighter. So in the end her ferocious demeanor is like a gun with an empty chamber.

Short Bio: Avery has always known there was something different about her. She is aware of how others treated her differently. When she was young, she assumed it was because she had no mother (the woman died in childbirth), but as she grew a little older she realized not everyone knew that about her, so there had to be another reason. Soon, she began to suspect that she was more intelligent than the other children her age, as she was always the first to finish a puzzle and always won in games of chess. She put simply two and two together and realized the other people in her life were standoffish because they were wary of her.

That was when Avery was seven. Now, as a young adult, she makes a point to stand out from the crowd. Being treated like an outcast has made her into one. She chose not to attend university and instead works as a sort of mercenary for computer hackers to earn a living. She uses the pseudonym “Daggers” (originally a nickname she earned due to her sharp tongue) to protect her identity, as she doesn’t trust her clients.

Specialization: Puzzle-solving and strategizing

This should leave room for lots and lots of character development fun~ :D

I meant location-wise. The group actually at the humans and the ones not actually at the humans.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. Everyone who didn't drop out is with the humans right now

You may want to read my very first post to get some of the back story. Basically the humans tore apart the dragons' home and a few of them (our characters) have joined together to form a ragtag team in search of a new home. There's also a human (enkas's char.) who wants to help the dragons. So far half of the dragons want to kill him and the other half are willing to hear him out.

Despite the number of posts, we're still in the beginning of the adventure.. XD
