There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Crow leaned into Penelope’s kiss, closing his eyes blissfully. He kept his arms by his sides to enjoy the feeling of their lips meeting without pushing for more. It was surprisingly nicer than he expected. The simplicity of kissing for its own sake was something new to him, since he had never attempted to be in a long term relationship before. As a fugitive, he was always on the run, so the most he could ever safety engage in were brief flings and one night stands. He was excited to give his relationship with Penelope a real shot.

Part of him did worry though, that she would change her mind about him the next morning. He worried she would wake up and feel like she had made a mistake or decide it didn’t make sense for them to be together because of what they were. His care for her ran so deeply that the thought frightened him. He wanted to believe what they had was different than what he had experienced before, but all of those experiences still told him that he was a thief, and thieves can’t settle down.

Slivers of doubt began worming their way into his mind. Were he and Hartley fools for even trying to be with Penelope and Kip? Maybe Hartley can do it because he only made a reputation for himself in one town, he thought. But all the knights of Brerra will be looking for me when I get home. If I stop moving to settle down, I’ll be killed. Could he really ask Penelope to accommodate such a demanding lifestyle, especially when she was a knight, herself? Would she even want to?

He pressed more deeply into the kiss, driven by a mixture of passion and fear. Unfortunately, Penelope pulled away all too quickly, saying goodnight to him and laying down to sleep. He gazed down at her, unwilling to move from her side just yet. Tentatively, he reached out to rest one hand on her shoulder, feeling the steady rise and fall of her chest as she slept. He still couldn’t believe everything that had happened between them that day was real. He only prayed she wouldn’t change her mind about him in the morning.

I don’t ask for much, he pleaded, running his hand gingerly down her arm. Just let me have her when I wake up… please.

Being careful not to disturb her, Crow got up from Penelope’s bed and moved silently across the room to his own. After taking off his boots, he laid down and closed his eyes, letting out his breath slowly. The mattress was soft and inviting. Despite his worries, he didn’t take long to fall asleep.

--

Crow was the first one up the next day, which didn’t surprise him considering how much the others had had to drink the night before. He sat up and stretched languidly, blinking against the morning light that filtered in through the window. His eyes wandered to Penelope’s sleeping form on the other side of the room as his concerns made their way back to the surface of his mind. Would she still want to be with him when she woke up?

He didn’t want to think about that now, so he climbed down from the bed and found an open spot on the floor to work on loosening his muscles. As he stretched, he found that quite a bit of his former limberness had returned despite the short amount of time that had passed since his prison days. It pleased him to know that it would take more than a year to break down the level of fitness he had acquired throughout his lifetime.

After a while, he heard the other begin to stir. Hartley let out a moan, clutching his head with both hands as he sat up and complaining about his hangover. Penelope seemed to be faring much better than the young thief. She was tired, but fortunately didn’t show any signs of nausea or aching.

Crow got up from the floor, hesitated for a moment, and then made his way over to Penelope’s bed. He sat down on the edge again and offered her a friendly smile, “Good morning, love. How are you feeling?”
Yeah, it was a one time thing for us, haha

I'll reply in the morning, because I'm exhausted ^^;
Okay! Probably same. I'm visiting my in-laws this weekend, and then I have to prepare for the honeymoon when I get back

EDIT: Crow had a very introspective night
Really? I think our biggest group was 15 xD
It only happened one time though, sadly

Crow wants Penelope so badly, but he knows she's not in her right mind
“Maybe not,” Crow chuckled when Penelope said she wasn’t trying to get him to sleep with her. “But you are most certainly drunk.” He met her teasing look with one of his own. Even though he knew she was intoxicated, he found the mischievous glint in her eyes attractive. She had a way about her when she was in a good mood that made his heart race every time. If you were trying to get me into bed with you, you wouldn’t have to try very hard, he thought as they walked down the hallway.

When they reached the door to their room, Crow unlocked it and held it open for Penelope and Hartley to step through first. As expected, the boy’s excitement drained from his face when he realized Kip wasn’t actually there. He collapsed on his bed and fell asleep after some prompting from Penelope. Crow moved to walk Penelope to her bed, but he paused as her expression changed.

“Damn... I’m so glad I met you,” she leaned in to kiss him, but hesitated. “Ahh, my breath probably reeks, sorry.”

Crow laughed and took the initiative, closing the distance between them by pressing his lips to hers. He rested a hand on the back of her neck, lightly tracing his way around the side of her jaw. His other arm slipped around her lower back, holding her close to himself. After a moment, he pulled away from the kiss, but continued to hold her in an embrace, resting his head on hers, “I’m glad I met you too.”

He guided her over to her bed and sat down next to her. He glanced at Hartley’s sleeping form across the room. The boy looked like he was out cold. Crow doubted he would wake up to anything. He looked back at Penelope, his eyes wandering over her body as he wondered yet again what it would be like to sleep with her. Now isn’t the time, he bit his lip. She’s drunk and not thinking clearly.

“We should get some sleep,” he said, meeting her gaze as he fought the urge to push her down on the bed and kiss her again. “Trust me, you don’t want a hangover tomorrow when we need to get back on the road.”
I'm the same way, haha. I'm currently watching Friends by myself and Teen Wolf with my husband because he's never seen it

I have played Werewolf ^^
It's hard to get a big enough group together to make it really fun though

Crow and Penelope switched places. He's helping her walk this time xD
Staying true to his word, Crow stopped drinking after he finished off the last of the ale in his mug. As the wench came around to refill Hartley and Penelope’s mugs, he had her switch his glass for water. He leaned back in his chair, watching his companions drink themselves into oblivion. He sighed, Now I know how Penelope must have felt when I got drunk with the kid two nights ago.

While she stopped after her second mug, Crow was surprised to see Penelope let herself get so inebriated. He could tell she was focusing hard to act sober, despite the toll the alcohol was taking on her body. As she moved to stand up, he was quick to be at her side, resting a hand on her waist to keep her steady.

“I could say the same to you, love,” he teased when she said they should go back to the room before Hartley passed out. “Come on. Let’s get both of you back to the room.”

“What’re you talkin’ about?” Hartley waved his empty mug in the air. “Th’ party’s jus gettin’ started!” He slid out of his chair and collapsed on the floor.

“Get up, kid,” Crow gave the boy a light kick with his boot. “You don’t want to be hungover when you see Kip tomorrow, do you?”

“Where’s Kip?” Hartley lifted his head, blinking confusedly. “How’d id I get down ‘ere?”

Gods, this is difficult, Crow stared up at the ceiling in exasperation. He kicked Hartley again, “Come on, idiot. Kip is in the room. You have to get off the floor if you want to see her.”

“She’s ‘ere?” Hartley, in a burst of energy from gods knew where, climbed hurriedly to his feet.

“Follow me,” Crow instructed. He adjusted his hold on Penelope so he could support most of her weight and then headed towards the stairs that led up to the second level of the inn. “You really let yourself go, huh?” he smirked at her. “And here I thought knights weren’t supposed to get drunk on the job.”

He took the stairs slowly when they reached them, careful to check his balance so Penelope could continue to use him for support if she needed to. Hartley struggled along behind them, but somehow managed not to fall over in his eagerness to see Kip. His excitement almost made Crow feel bad for lying to him. It won’t matter soon, he glanced over his shoulder as he reached the top of the stairs. He’ll pass out the instant he lays down on his bed.
Nice! It's one of the shows I watch when I'm doing homework xD
I cycle through Friends (which I'm watching again now), HIMYM, The Office, Parks and Rec, That 70's Show, Seinfeld, and a few others.
What sort of shows do you usually watch?

It's so much fun! I won the last game as Hitler~

Crow just realized Penelope hasn't been with anyone else before and he doesn't really know what to do about it xD
When Penelope agreed with him quickly, Crow felt certain he had made the right decision by telling Hartley to stay with them for the night. The flush on her cheeks made him wonder though. She seemed flustered by the thought of spending the night with him. He eyed her curiously for a moment and then froze. Has she never been with a man before?

As he thought about it more, it began to make sense. Nobles were much more formal about their relationships than peasants. From what he knew, most noblewomen were formally courted by suitors in the presence of their family members. Penelope had likely never been courted before, since she had opted to become a knight instead.

I need to make sure I don’t push her to do anything she isn’t comfortable with, he thought, realizing just how physical he had been with her that evening alone. He didn’t want to make her feel like he was forcing her to do something she didn’t want to do yet.

Crow focused in on Penelope and Hartley’s conversation again when they mentioned him as the boy’s competition. He rolled his eyes, “It’s hardly a competition if one of the challengers already won.” He smiled at Penelope. “It was over before it even began.”

He groaned as Hartley ordered more drinks, “Not this again.” He could still feel the pounding in his head from his hangover the day before. As one who preferred not to get drunk at all, this wasn’t his idea of a good time. The ale at this inn wasn’t as strong as Malcolm’s home brewed stuff, but he still didn’t want to risk having too much. “I’m just going to stick with this one mug, thank you very much,” he said, taking a swig of his drink.

“Come on,” Hartley nudged him. “Live a little.”

“Is it really living if you can’t remember the day before?” Crow shook his head.

“Of course it is,” Hartley said without hesitation. “Where’s your sense of adventure?”

“Not at the bottom of a drink,” Crow answered snidely. “Get drunk if you’d like, but you’re not going to convince me to join you this time.”

“Suit yourself,” Hartley shrugged. He picked up a fresh mug of ale, brought to him by the wench he had signaled to earlier, and downed half of the drink at once. He slammed the glass down on the table with a loud exhale.

“Classy,” Crow muttered.

“What about you?” Hartley turned to Penelope with a challenging grin. “Can you prove that you’re more of a man than your lover?”
I like it ^^
I’ve seen that show a couple times actually lol

Also, we finally finished playing Secret Hitler so I can reply soon!
I like the idea of bringing her back in the time skip so she’s not such a minor character.
