There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner

Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

I'm low key hoping Penelope makes Crow eat his words xD

Also, I might be going to a bonfire tonight. If I do, I probably won't be on until around 9 or 10.
It depends on whether or not I can get a ride, since my husband has the car today, so I don't know for sure if I'll be going or not ^^;
“You should be more concerned about how you’re going to beat me,” Crow quipped. He rolled his eyes when Penelope spun the dagger in her hands. “I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.” As she prepared to fight, he took a moment to size her up, his eyes sweeping over her body. Since he didn’t have much experience with fighting, he needed to take advantage of any weaknesses he could find.

He took note of her stance, the way she held her weapon, and where her eyes were focused. He didn’t know enough about dagger techniques to know exactly what she was planning to do, but he could see that her weight was shifted to her back right foot and her gaze was fixed on his torso. From those details, he could at least make a few guesses about what her first move would be. He braced himself for her attack.

When Penelope lunged at him, his first thought was that she was fast—much faster than William. He parried her dagger with his own blade, stepping backwards with his right foot and twisting at the waist to use her momentum against her. The sound of clashing metal filled the air as he deflected her attack, sending her off to his right side so they stood parallel with each other. He followed through by bringing his left hand around to give her a sharp push between the shoulder blades, intending to knock her off balance while he jumped back out of her reach.

“Is that all you’ve got?” Crow taunted once he was safely beyond her range of attack. “I would understand if you want to save face and surrender to me now.” He winked at her wryly, raising his weapon to defend himself if she came at him again.
Yaas~ I'll have to listen to those tomorrow :D
If I find more good ones, I'll share them with you too

That'll be my last one for tonight! I'm super tired from running errands all day
“I told you I am,” Crow winked at Penelope teasingly. “If you don’t learn fast, you don’t live long where I’m from.” It was true. His ability to pick up new skills had saved his life more times than he could count. The wide array of tricks he had collected were the reason why he had made it on his own for as long as he had. He’d stolen to make a living for himself, fought off inexperienced knights in the outer villages, duped his enemies by pretending to be a traveler from other kingdoms, and even nursed some of his own wounds with amateur herbalism. He had taken everything he knew and used it to keep himself alive at some point or another.

He listened as Penelope explained how she had needed to use trickery in battle as well since she used to spar against her older brother. It made sense. Even though she was a knight, she was still smaller than the men she usually had to fight. He was suddenly more appreciative that she was the one to teach him how to use a dagger properly. Though he wasn’t disadvantaged by size, he definitely lacked the skill his opponents would have. It would be good for him to learn more ways to outsmart his enemies in battle.

“You have no idea,” Crow laughed when Penelope said he would be even more trouble upon his return. “I plan to make the king rue the day he let me set foot outside those prison walls.”

The mention of going back to Brerra did make him ponder again what was going to happen between him and Penelope after their mission. By her words, it sounded like she expected him to go back to his former life of thievery, but he wondered what she planned to do. Would she go back to her duties as a knight, or was she thinking about abandoning everything to be with him? He glanced at her from the corner of his eye, tempted to ask, but afraid of the answer.

“Let’s go over there. It looks like a good place to stop,” he followed her gaze as she pointed out a small clearing.

“Okay,” Crow said in agreement. He set down his bags when they reached the meadow and then drew the dagger he had kept hidden in his boot, turning to her with a cocky smirk, “Are you ready, love?”
Awesome~ I'll probably get my reply done tomorrow

Cecily isn't going to be happy about how Stefano is blowing her off xD
Really? I'd be very interested in listening to other songs you have for this~
I low key listen to the Lord of the Rings OST most of the time when I write for this RP x'D
I like this song for Penelope. It fits her really well!

“We’ll see about that,” Crow nudged Penelope playfully. Despite his words, he knew that sparring against her would stretch his limits with the weapon. After all, she was a skilled knight. It was true that he had managed to overpower William for a moment during their fight in the wagon, but that had only been because the knight had underestimated him. He wouldn’t have the same advantage with Penelope. She had fought at his side before and knew he had some talent with a dagger, so he would have to come up with some other way to catch her off guard.

He turned to look at her when she asked how he had learned to fight. “I was never formally trained,” he answered. “Honestly, I don’t know what I’m doing most of the time. I just let my instinct drive me and hope for the best.” He shrugged. “I also use what I know from my experience as a thief to help me in battle. You see, I figured out that it doesn’t matter how skilled an opponent is if you can take them by surprise. Even the most fearsome swordsman can be tricked if you’re clever enough.

“Now, if you’re asking how I learned to use a blade, that’s a little different though,” he went on. “It remains true that I was never formally taught, but I did learn a few things from the knights in the outer villages. I used to watch them spar. It was mostly because I was trying to figure out how to avoid their swords, but I was also interested in the complexities of dueling.

“I also told you that I used to steal and sell weapons, right? Well, I didn’t always ‘get away’ without being seen,” he smirked. “I remember one time I was feeling especially daring, so I let myself get caught by a one of the knights as I was leaving their camp. He had been drinking and was in no condition to fight, which meant we would stand on equal footing. He tried to attack me, and I got to practice some of the techniques I had watched the others use during their sparring matches. Of course, it was easier then because of how intoxicated that knight was, but situations like that were how I gained my competence with a blade.”
Well, I haven't gotten a headache so far tonight (which is good for me TuT) so I think it's working!
Also it's a really cute piercing, so I love it even if it doesn't work

Thanks! I'm a little obsessed with music, so I got really excited when I realized the song fit him so well xD

Crow is too competitive for his own good lol
Crow was relieved that Penelope understood his desire to overcome his fear. He had been worried she would think he had lost his mind when he admitted he had cut himself with the arrow. Instead, it seemed like she supported his motive. He looked down at the small laceration in his forearm again and wiped away the rest of the blood. While his method had worked that morning, he definitely needed to come up with a better way to deal with his fear. He didn’t want to slice up his body just to get over it, after all.

“Lucky for you, I’m pretty capable with a dagger,” he smirked when she said she needed a new sparring partner. The few times he had needed to use the small blade, he had been able to stave off his enemies. Granted, he had done nothing more than knock them unconscious with the butt of the weapon, but it still counted in his opinion. He may have been a complete novice with a bow, but he had enough experience with blades to consider himself at least somewhat skilled.

As Penelope stood up again, he climbed to his feet as well. He felt a rush of excitement at the prospect of learning how to use the dagger better. If he could master it along with the bow, he would have a versatile arsenal of weapons at his dispersal when they reached the castle. The wheels of his mind began to turn as he thought of new ideas. He could take out some guards from a distance with henbane laced arrows, and then defend himself with the dagger on the inside of the palace walls… He was already starting to feel his confidence in the mission returning.

“True,” Crow nodded when Penelope said they should leave. “The stable boys are probably going to come and make sure the horses didn’t get injured during last night’s storm.”

Gathering his things, he headed for the doors that led back outside. He paused briefly to make sure there were no servants that could see them before he hurried back into the tree line, where they would be safe from prying eyes.

Once they were far enough away from the manner, he turned to Penelope with a challenging grin, “So, are you ready to find out which one of us is better with a dagger?”
No worries! I’ve been busy all day, so I can’t write again until tonight anyway ^^
