There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Crow nodded thoughtfully as Penelope spoke about the Younisian people’s faith in their matron goddess. He agreed that it was odd how they believed she was looking out for all of them, but he had known a few people in the outer villages who held similar beliefs about some of the Brerratic gods. Perhaps Aeklora was one of the gods who held a stake in the mortal world somehow. If so, he wondered what she was trying to do by keeping the people of Younis safe from harm. What was so special about this kingdom that it could draw the attention of an immortal being?

He followed Penelope’s gaze as she pointed out the stable near the woods. “Looks promising,” he agreed. “We should take a break here until he leaves.” Setting down his bags, he sat down in the grass and leaned back against a tree trunk. He closed his eyes and exhaled slowly, letting go of the tension in his back that had built up after carrying so many supplies.

Thinking for a moment, he turned back to Penelope, “I’ve been working on the plan a little more since the last time I mentioned it to you, and I think I’ve come up with a way to give us an advantage.” He smirked and leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees. “Remember the henbane I found? I can turn it into a medicinal oil that will make anyone who eats it drowsy and delusional.

“If this palace is anything like the one in Brerra, the servants will prepare the food for everyone. And if the servants take you in, you should be staying in their quarters.” He paused, giving her a moment to see where he was going with his strategy, before he went on. “If I make a draught of henbane oil, you can sneak it into the food while you’re with them and poison the entire castle staff. Just make sure it stays out of whatever they prepare for the king. Members of royalty always have taste testers, and we don’t anyone to find out the food is contaminated until after it’s been served to everyone.

“Assuming that goes well, it shouldn’t be hard for me to get in,” he continued with a grin. “I’ll climb into the castle through one of the windows in the keep and meet you inside. All that’s left will be for us to steal the staff and get out.” He leaned back into the tree, pleased with his plan so far. “So, what do you think?”
Finally got to my mom's place cx
Sorry that took a while. We made a few unplanned stops on the way

Also, I pulled a few more songs from my playlist that fit this RP pretty well, I think

This one makes me think of when Crow and Penelope were taking shelter from the storm

I feel like this one really describes their relationship right now, since it's still new and exciting
Crow rolled his eyes, “You have such little faith in me, but alright. If it will make you feel better, I’ll prove it wasn’t a fluke.” He reached over his shoulder to draw another arrow from the quiver, turning back to focus on the target tree again. Despite his boasting, he was surprised that he was doing so well with the bow after only two days of practice. He would have thought he’d be better with the dagger, since blade techniques required mobility and fast reflexes, two qualities he prided himself on. He never thought he would master a weapon that forced him to stand still in order to use it. The idea of it was strange to him.

He loosed a few more arrows—one struck the tree, two struck inside the box, and two more flew into the forest—before his arm was too tired to continue. Rolling his shoulders, he lowered the bow and collected the arrows he had shot, returning them to the quiver as he found them. Once that was done, he gathered his belongings and got ready to keep going.

“I hope we find a good place to sleep tonight,” he commented absently as they walked. “We probably only have two more nights left before we reach the castle, so we should take advantage of any shelter we find while we still have the chance.”
I’m leaving for the last drive now. I’ll be back on in about 3 hours, probably
Sorry that took so long. My husband kept distracting me with old vines xD

That's my last one for tonight! I'll post again tomorrow morning if I have some time before we leave for the next leg of our trip
“I intend to,” Crow said with a grin. “In fact…” He took a few steps farther away from the target tree and repositioned himself again, staring the ‘X’ with new focus. “I’ll hit it from here.” Closing his eyes, he took a moment to recall what Penelope had taught him about drawing the bowstring. He reached over his shoulder and drew an arrow, notching it in the bow against his left index finger. Then, pulling back on the string with his right hand, he cocked the feathered end of the arrow back to the corner of his mouth.

He took a stabilizing breath and opened his eyes again, fixating on the target in front of him. In the next instant, he released the bowstring, sending the arrow flying. It struck the tree just above the box around the ‘X,’ and he felt his heartbeat quicken with excitement. This was the closest he had gotten to hitting the bullseye so far. He took another slow breath, forcing his emotions in check so he wouldn’t lose focus.

I can do this, he thought, pulling another arrow from the quiver. Repeating the same process, he armed the bow and drew back the string, tilting his head a bit closer to his shoulder this time. When he loosed the arrow, it pierced the tree below the ‘X,’ but within the box. Just a little closer. Don’t overcorrect, he mentally critiqued his performance.

Reaching into the quiver once more, he drew a third arrow and notched it in the bow. As he cocked back the string, his eyes stayed fixed on the center of the ‘X’. He held the arrow at his anchor point for a moment before sending it soaring through the air. He held his breath as he watched it puncture the tree, just to the left of the bullseye.

Turning to Penelope, he beamed excitedly, “How’s that for improvement?” He let his arms drop, giving them a short break from the effort of holding up the bow. “My skills with the dagger may need work, but I think I’m a natural at this.”
We just finished playing a long game of monopoly ^^;
I'll get started on my reply now!

Also, I probably won't be on much until tomorrow afternoon or evening, because we have a few more hours of driving to do.

“Are you sure you want to trust me with a watch?” Crow gave her an amused smirk. “I’ve never kept watch before, so I’d probably just fall asleep.” He turned to look at the town that was just visible through the tree line. “Hopefully we can find somewhere to take shelter for the night in town, so we won’t have to find out if I have the willpower to stay awake.” And we won’t risk getting caught in another storm, he added silently with a sidelong glance at Penelope. The weather last night had sprung on them out of nowhere, so even though the skies were clear now, there was no telling what would happen by nightfall.

Though he was concerned for Penelope’s wellbeing, the rain worried him for another reason as well. From his experience in Brerra, the best way to get inside of a castle without being seen was through a window… which required intensive climbing. It was already going to be hard enough for him to scale the curtain wall when he was out of practice. If the stone was slick with water, it would be damn near impossible. He gazed up at the palace in the distance, hoping the good weather would stick around until after they finished the mission.

After they had covered a respectable distance, Penelope suggested they stop so he could practice his archery some more. He nodded and followed her into the clearing, setting his bags down beneath a tree and stretching his back to loosen up his travel-weary muscles. When he felt ready, he slung the quiver over his shoulder again and picked up the bow, joining her by the tree she had marked.

“I think so,” Crow said when she asked if he remembered the correct posture. He aligned himself sideways with the target and planted his feet shoulder-width apart. “This feels right,” he met her gaze once more and grinned. “I’m ready to try again.”
