There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Oh yeah, I was definitely too lazy to reread our old conversation xD
If the baroness is a mother figure to Penelope, my idea wouldn’t make sense anyway, because Crow’s sister would be younger than her lol
We could still add her to the battalion! I see her being involved with the army in some way because she doesn’t like sitting around looking pretty like her younger sister does

I really like all of the other characters you’ve come up with too
I’m super excited for the time skip now
I’ll make CS’s for the characters I’ve come up with when I get back from my morning run ^^
That'll be my last post for tonight!
I probably won't be on at night as much because I have so much going on with my friends. We already have Mon, Wed, and Thurs nights booked up this week, and there will probably be more as we make new plans ^^;
I might be able to get one post done before bed after our events, but I honestly can't say for sure
It's looking like I'll have the most free time during the late mornings and mid afternoons now
The busy life of the extrovert xD

Also, I just had another idea for after the time skip, and I wanted to run it by you. So basically, I was planning to reveal later in the IC that Crow's father has a family of his own: a noble wife, one son, and two daughters. The kids would, of course, all be Crow's half-siblings, which will be kind of mind blowing to him because he never knew they existed. I already have personalities worked out for them too:

-The son is Albin's oldest (not including Crow), so when his father ascends the throne, he's the first in line to take over as the next king. He's strong-willed and prideful (pretty much embodies all of the qualities Crow hates in nobles). When he meets Crow later in the story, he looks down on him as a worthless bastard with no place in the family. His disgust is genuine in part, but it also stems from a secret fear that Crow will take his place in line for the throne since he's Albin's true eldest.
-The oldest daughter is also strong-willed, but her stubbornness manifests itself in the form of rebellion. She's the most similar in personality to Crow, with a sharp wit and a lack of regard for anyone else's opinion of her. Even when Albin becomes the king, she doesn't care about how she comes off as a princess and refuses to go along with all of the rules for being a 'proper lady.' She's also the only one of the three siblings who gets along with Crow.
-The youngest daughter is the opposite of her older siblings. She's quiet and respectful and doesn't try to break the rules, basically the poster child for the perfect noblewoman. When she's introduced, she'll only be sixteen, but she already has suitors lined up for when she comes of age, because of her docile personality and beautiful face. I'm not sure yet how she and Crow will get along, but I think she'll initially be wary of him, because he's so different from the noblemen she's comfortable around.

Basically, as I was thinking about their characters today, I realized that the oldest daughter is really similar to the lieutenant character you described that Penelope befriends, and I was thinking it could be cool if they're the same person :D
It would be a fun surprise if Penelope doesn't realize she's Crow's half-sister until later on too.
What do you think though?
“Really?” Crow raised an inquisitive brow. “Maybe I’ll have to sneak into one of these banquets and try the food for myself. Although, I’m not sure I’d be a very convincing nobleman.” He shook his head at the ridiculous thought. “It would be difficult to pretend to be interested in all of the pomp and castle gossip for an entire evening. I don’t know how you’ve managed to do it for so many years.”

He popped another bite of venison into his mouth and chewed thoughtfully. Even if nobles enjoyed seasoned food and cushioned homes, he preferred his simple life as a peasant. It was harder, yes, but it wasn’t bad. The outer villages were full of hardworking, honest people who helped each other when life got difficult. He couldn’t count the number of times people like Evelyn had given him refuge from the knights on the border—and he wasn’t even an upstanding member of the community. Their kindness was invaluable to him, and he wouldn’t exchange that for all the food in the world.

Crow looked up again as Penelope went on to talk about the pettiness of the nobles she had encountered. “If they’re so easily offended, then why bother?” he shrugged. “If I were you, I wouldn’t go out of my way to please such narrow-minded fools. There’s no point in giving them what they want if they’re never going to accept you for who you really are. You’ll just end up going ‘round in circles kissing their rings while they keep you from reaching your own potential.” He swallowed another bite of food from his second plate and turned to meet her gaze. “It’s much simpler to just end the whole mess and stop caring what they think.”
I won’t be home until probably 9:30, so no rush ^^
“You underestimate my appetite,” Crow smirked. Granted, three full plates of food were a lot for any one person, but he hadn’t had what he would consider a full meal since before he had been arrested. The portions he had been allotted in prison had only been large enough to keep him alive, and the rations the knights had assigned for their journey weren’t much better. Being so physically active as a thief meant expending a lot of energy every day and therefore also eating large meals to replenish it. Food was an important necessity in such a demanding lifestyle, so he was going to make up for lost time.

He followed after Penelope as she went on to find something she wanted to eat, slightly surprised to see her head for a bakery. Of all the places she could get supper, she was looking at a place that made bread? His lip curled upward in amusement as she purchased a few different sweets from the merchant. He never would have guessed she had such a childish side, but then again, he was learning a lot of things about her lately that he didn’t expect.

“Looks like someone has a sweet tooth,” he teased.

“Ok, I won’t judge if you won’t judge, deal?” Penelope said.

“I’m not judging,” Crow smiled at her. “I just didn’t take you for the kind of girl who likes sweets. It’s cute.” He led her over to a tree just beyond the marketplace where they could sit and eat away from the crowd. Digging into his first plate, he let out a content sigh, “I suppose there is one perk to nobility if you get to eat food like this every day.”
It's fine! I don't think that was the problem :)

No worries. I'm crazy busy for the next month too, so take your time!
I'll probably reply tomorrow, because I'm exhausted after the bonfire, and I'm working out again early in the morning with a friend ^^;

Crow is going to find that adorable xD
Yeah, it's because freshman make most of their friends during the first 4 weeks of school, so we're trying to invite them in during that time x3

Also, Penelope may find that she regrets giving Crow the freedom to eat what he wants xD
“Great,” Crow grinned when Penelope said they could stay to eat. He began to look over the food stands, searching for the source of the smell of cooked venison. When she spoke again, he turned back to her and laughed, “Maybe you are, but to be fair, I’m pretty persistent when I find something I want.” Wrapping an arm around her shoulders, he pulled her to his side in an embrace and kissed her on the head. “I got you, didn’t I? It doesn’t matter that I’m a lawless commoner. I still won over the most beautiful woman in Brerra,” he winked at her wryly. “Come on. Let’s eat.”

Crow walked with Penelope as they browsed the stands until he found a vendor selling various meat dishes. The delicious smell made his mouth water, and his stomach growled expectantly. Venison was a luxury to a peasant like him, and he planned to make the most of this trip. Stepping up to the merchant, he selected three plates that looked especially good and pulled out the money to purchase them.

“Picking up supper to feed your family, eh?” the vendor chuckled as he pocketed the coins.

“Sure, why not,” Crow grinned, collecting the plates he had bought. He turned to Penelope and shrugged, “Don’t judge me, love. I may never have venison again.”
It was good!
We're done now, but we have events almost every weekend until the end of September, so I'm gonna be pretty busy for the next month ^^;
