There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Cas nodded when Iris said she wished she knew who she was. He couldn’t imagine what it was like to go a full day not remembering more than his own first name. He couldn’t blame her for having a hard time with it. Hopefully she would start getting useful pieces back that would help Dr. Emett figure out which family she belonged to. She deserved to be surrounded by people who cared about her after everything she’d been through. At least her pain wasn’t unbearable though. It could have been much worse if she was both amnesiac and dealing with the discomfort of her recent injury.

When she said she was going to owe him more than one drink, he laughed. “I mean, if you really want to, I won’t say no, but this stuff was only about three bucks.” Despite his nonchalance, he really did hope she would still want to get drinks with him after she recovered. If she got her memory back completely, she would also remember who he was too. Every high born in the capital knew his face. It would be disappointing to meet with her again, only to be treated the same way every other girl treated him: awkward and unnecessarily respectful. He wanted to keep talking to her the way they were now with no important title looming over his head to make things weird between them.

As Iris made a face at the muffin he’d brought, Cas blinked in surprise. Did she remember something? His hunch was confirmed when she looked up at him to express that she wasn’t fond of blueberry muffins, and he grinned. “No, that’s great,” he shook his head when she said it wasn’t much. “It means things are coming back to you. I think it just takes specific triggers to unlock the parts you can’t get to right now.”

At her point that she might have lived alone, he mulled over the possibility. He didn’t know too many people in the capital who lived on their own, since everyone pretty much survived off their families’ wealth, but there were a few apartment complexes here and there for people who wanted to be by themselves. If she had been living in one of them, it could take a lot longer for anyone to notice she was missing, and she might be stuck at the hospital for a while longer.

Deciding not to bring up the depressing thought, he eagerly jumped on her change of subject. “Nice?” he chuckled, handing off the two snack options she did like. “Yeah, right. Just yesterday you were saying you hated it here. The food in this place must be God-awful if you think it’s even worse.”

Taking the rejected muffin for himself, he made himself comfortable in the doctor’s chair. Unlike the wooden seat near the door, this one was cushioned and had wheels. It even swiveled at the base, the kind that would keep him occupied if he needed to entertain himself.

He ripped open the plastic packaging around his food and crumpled it in his hand before tossing it into a nearby wastebasket. “Well, I guess this is kinda nice,” he admitted, taking a bite of the muffin as he leaned into the flexible back support of the chair. “At least it’s peaceful here. Not as much zombie moaning as I always imagined I’d hear in a hospital. If we just had some music, it would even make a good two-star café.”
Dialogue is one of my favorite parts of writing, haha. And I figured he needed a couple bros to hang out with cx

I love it! Getting started on my post now ^^
Yeah, I love them, haha. I pretty much have a mini German Shepherd with funny ears xD

And yup, Cas isn't anything like his father! Spoiled and living in a bubble, yes, but far from cruel
I'm used to watching long shows, so that's pretty normal to me xD
I might give it a watch when I'm done with B99!

Yeah, I think it's the German Shepherd in him, haha. They're a super smart breed, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's where he got his intelligence

Just got done! Cas tried to make a nice gesture, since he knows Iris has had a rough go of it cx
Just before he reached Iris’s room, Cas slowed to a stop. He hadn’t made very many hospital visits before—the doctor usually made house calls to treat his father unless he needed special equipment to run tests—but he was pretty sure it was general etiquette to bring a gift for the patient when he stopped by. Distracted by his conversation with Jay, he hadn’t even thought to make a stop at the grocery store to get her flowers or anything. Would she think it was rude of him to show up empty-handed? He wasn’t sure. She didn’t seem like the type to care about that sort of thing, but even if she didn’t notice, it might be a nice gesture if he could find a last minute present to give her.

Glancing over his shoulder, he spotted a vending machine at the other end of the hall. It wasn’t much, but maybe she’d like something to eat that wasn’t generic hospital mush. After all, he’d found her with nothing but the clothes on her back, so she probably didn’t have any money to buy food for herself. Deciding it was the best offering he could come up with without running out to a store, he backtracked to the machine and swiped his card. Of course, the method of payment went through, and he looked over the variety of snacks inside, trying to figure out which one she’d want. It was hard to say, since he’d only met her the night before and she didn’t even remember anything about herself. To be safe, he bought three things, so she’d be able to pick whatever she wanted.

Maybe tasting food she likes and dislikes will help her get her memory back, he thought hopefully, bending down to collect the assortment of snacks he’d picked: a chocolate candy bar, a bag of chips, and a blueberry muffin.

With a cheap but thoughtful gift in hand, he stood up straight again and walked back to her room, knocking once to announce his presence before he stepped inside. “Hey, Iris, how are you doing?” he asked, closing the door behind him and then turning around to face her. She looked a little distraught to him, but he had expected that. She was probably upset that no one had come to claim her yet, as anyone would have been after spending a whole day in a flimsy hospital bed. It made him feel better about his choice to visit her today, since he guessed she needed some company from someone who wasn’t wearing scrubs.

“I brought you some food,” he held up the assortment of vending machine goods as he approached her bedside. “I’m not really sure what you like, so I got you a few different snacks. If you’re not a fan of anything, just give it to me, and I’ll eat it.” He shrugged, offering her a friendly smile. “I hope you like some of it though. It’s gotta be better than whatever they’ve been feeding you so far.”
Me too! It's so funny cx

I've heard of House, but I actually haven't seen that one before. Is it good?

Thanks! He usually does great ^^ He's the smartest dog I've ever had, and he learns new commands crazy fast.

I'll get started on my post now!
Great! Can't wait to read it ^^

I'm just taking Kai to his dog training class in the evening later :)
Might watch some TV with my husband if he doesn't just fall asleep after he gets home from work too, haha. We've been binging Brooklyn 99 together when we can

As Victoria buried her head against his chest, Vail wrapped his arm around her in a gesture that was meant to comfort but was also innately protective. Still seething from what he had learned about Spencer, he found it impossible to think of any words to sooth her. All he could focus on was picturing the creative ways by which he would exact revenge on the Wynter for the things he had done. Draining the Lady of her blood in such a cruel and unnatural manner was twisted, but even more so, he was sickened to discover that another man had tried to force himself upon her when she could do nothing to defend herself. If he had been close enough to catch wind of what had been going on, he had no doubt in his mind that he would have killed the other vampire on the spot.

He looked down at Victoria as she feebly asked if he was serious. There was a tremor of confusion in her voice that demanded an explanation. Until now, he had been quiet about the depths of his feelings toward her, but there was no way to answer her questions without revealing more about how much he had come to care for her—about how he cared for her more than any vampire should ever care for a human. In his heart, he had already crossed that line. Hiding it had only delayed the inevitable confession.

“Without hesitation,” he professed when she queried if he would really face the Wynters’ wrath for her. The games were over. He was certain about how he felt about her, and if he was going to give his all to keep her safe from a monster like Spencer, there was no more reason to pretend like he only saw her as a blood bag.

Swayed by the weight of his conviction, he brought a hand to Victoria’s cheek and leaned in to press his lips against hers. He kissed her deeply, no longer held back by the reservations that had plagued him before. He was committed to the fate he’d chosen. The repercussions were inconsequential.

When he pulled back again, there was determination mingled with the anger in his eyes. “I would do anything for you, Victoria. You’re more to me than just the blood in your veins. If killing that bastard is what it takes for me to be with you, then I’ll drive the bullet through his heart with my hand.”
Ironically, I just got done with my post xD

I will be too! Just got a little homework to work on, but no other plans until after you would go to bed, haha
Glad to hear your cosplay is coming along ^^ I hope it turns out how you want it to!
“Are you serious?”

It was almost six o’ clock, and Jay had finally stopped by to bring Cas’s car back. The prince knew he’d probably been joyriding around the city all day, but the vehicle was still unscathed as far as he could tell, and his friend had even been thoughtful enough to fill up the tank for him before he returned it. He couldn’t complain. Instead, he found himself filling the other high born in about the wild night he’d had as he drove him back to his home. It was still at the forefront of his mind, so he couldn’t not talk about it. He needed to get the story off his chest, and Jay was an eager audience.

“Wow,” his friend leaned his head back against the rest on his seat, one arm dangling loosely out the open passenger-side window. “That’s insane. Who knew one extra shot at a party could lead to all that?”

“I know,” Cas sighed. “I’m still wrapping my brain around it too. If I hadn’t called the hospital today, I might have thought it was just a vivid dream.”

“God, your life is always so much more interesting than mine,” Jay shook his head. “I’m jealous.” He turned to the prince with a glint of interest in his eye. “So… I’ve gotta know. Is she hot? The girl you found in the woods.”

“Come on, man,” Cas wrinkled his nose. “She was unconscious.”

“Fine, sorry,” Jay held up his hands. “Okay, how about this: What did her leg look like? I bet it was pretty gruesome, right?”

“Just shut up, Jay,” the prince rolled his eyes.

“You’re no fun,” the high born crossed his arms indignantly. “You get to have the coolest experience out of the three of us. The least you could do is share it a little.”

“I already told you everything that happened,” Cas snorted. “What else do you want?”

Details,” Jay clapped his hands together with each syllable of the word.

Fortunately for Cas, it only took a few more minutes before they arrived at the Arowood mansion, so he narrowing managed to escape his friend’s pestering. Of course, he had answers for both of Jay’s questions, but he didn’t want to confess that yes, he did think Iris was attractive when he’d found her nearly dead in the grass; and he didn’t want to think about the gory punctures in her leg at all. That information, he would keep to himself.

Once he dropped off a very disappointed Jay, he turned his car around to make his next stop: the hospital. Part of him was still hoping that he’d get there to find out that the girl had just been picked up by a family member, but he doubted that would happen. It had only been an hour ago when Dr. Emett had said she was still there. Most likely, nothing had changed.

Circling around to the valet drop-off, he passed his car keys to the worker on shift and headed into the hospital lobby. As soon as he stepped inside, the receptionist greeted him with a respectful dip of her head and a warm smile. “What can I do for you, Caspian?” she asked politely.

“I’m here to see Iris,” he said, leaning his forearms on the counter. “Can I get a visitor pass?”

“Of course,” the receptionist jotted his name down in her visitor record and then opened a drawer to retrieve a green lanyard, which she offered to him with another bright smile. “Here you are. Just remember that visiting hours are over at nine.”

“Thanks,” he nodded, slipping the string around his neck, so the pass dangled visibly against his chest.

Stepping away from the counter, he turned and headed down the hallway that led to her room, both curious and apprehensive to find out if her condition was any better today.
