There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Finally got a post up cx
Walking side by side with Penelope to the front of the inn, Crow absently watched the backs of Otto and Rayner as the two knights strode ahead of them. Ever since they had left the castle, he had attached himself to Penelope by the hip. The behavior was partly because they didn’t have much more time left before they would have to part ways for weeks, but it was also because she was the most comfortable person in the group to him. Once she was gone, he was sure he would have to divide his time between the rest of the nobles. He frowned at the thought. As much as he liked being around his sister when they were in the citadel, Naida was proving to be high-maintenance company when they were on the road. She barely listened when anyone asked her to keep her mouth shut and demanded attention when she decided she had gone too long without it. Her silver spoon was showing, and he didn’t have the energy to keep her satisfied for the rest of the journey.

Out of all his guards, Percival was objectively the best option for company. The knight was taciturn but friendly when he did engage in conversation. He was almost Naida’s opposite in that regard. While Crow had always been fond of idle chatter, he’d learned to enjoy sitting in silence too recently. Percy only seemed to open his mouth when he had something important or relevant to say, and it was a quality that the viceroy was coming to appreciate as he got to know him better. Privately, he decided that he wouldn’t mind spending more of his time with the other man after Penelope was gone if Percy didn’t see his presence as an intrusion. At least it would be better than letting Naida talk his ear off every minute they weren’t on the road.

As they stopped by the front of the inn to wait for Percival and Preston to return with their horses, the former thief glanced sideways at the Therouldes. The father and son duo reminded him quite a bit of William and Abraxas. The elder was brusque and orderly while the younger was soft-spoken and shy. He found it ironic how similar the two were to his past comrades and wondered if they would have treated him the same way as William and Abraxas had if he was still a criminal. Of course, there was no way to know for sure, but he had a feeling that Otto, at least, would have tried to put him in his place. He hadn’t been very considerate of Preston so far, and the boy was just a servant. If that was any indication of how he saw people who were socially beneath him, Crow was certain he would have been just as horrible of a guard as William, if not worse.

The viceroy was drawn from his thoughts when he felt Penelope slip her hand out of his. He looked down at her with a thoughtful expression as she rolled her shoulders. It was already apparent to him that she hadn’t slept well, but now it was starting to seem like she was sore after sleeping on the floor as well. He nearly questioned her about it, but she spoke up before he could say a word.

At her sigh, a smile crossed his lips, and he nodded in agreement. The previous day had been boring, but he would take boring over ‘nearly killed by mercenaries’ any day of the year. “You’re the one who wanted to come with us,” he quipped to his sister, nudging her teasingly with his elbow when she complained again. “Like it or not, this is what you asked for.”

“I thought going on an adventure would be more… well… adventurous than this,” Naida crossed her arms in a bitter posture.

“As someone who’s been on an ‘adventurous’ adventure, I promise you that this is much better,” Crow smirked at her over his shoulder as he stepped onto the cobblestone road to take Baine from Preston. Turning away from the princess, he met his attendant’s gaze expectantly. “You’ve got the extra rations in your saddlebags, right? I’m not going anywhere until I’ve got something to eat in my hand.”

Preston nodded, “I can give you half a loaf of rye, but you should at least get on your horse while I bring it to you.”

“Fair enough,” the viceroy complied amenably. Hooking one boot into the closest stirrup, he hopped up onto Baine’s sturdy back and waited for the servant to fulfill his request for breakfast. As soon as that was done and everyone was ready to go, Otto gave the signal, and they departed down the road.
I was until this weekend xD I just had a bunch of stuff hit me out of nowhere, so it may take me a few more days to get a post up depending on how quickly I can get my responsibilities squared away. Yay for school, tax season, and everything else happening at the same time...
Sounds busy!

It's been going fine ^^ I've still got a lot of work to do, but I'm keeping up with everything so far.
Caspian’s heart sank when he felt Iris tremble in his arms. After everything she had been through, she didn’t deserve to be treated like a lying criminal. He wished his father wouldn’t have reacted so poorly to everything that had happened the day before, when there was no proof that she had anything to do with the rebellion. As much as he liked having her around at the mansion, part of him hoped her family would call to collect her soon, so she wouldn’t be caught up in the crown’s mess any longer. At least then, he could exchange phone numbers with her to stay in touch and keep her at a distance until the situation calmed down. Unfortunately, until someone who knew her came forward, there was nothing they could do but hope neuroimaging would be enough to quell Atlas’s suspicions.

Unsure what else he could say to reassure her, the prince stayed quiet and rubbed her back with one hand while she buried her head against his chest. As silence permeated the room, he wondered if it would be a good idea to return to the woods where he had found her once the lockdown on the mansion was lifted. Even if no one called for her, they could figure out which district she was from if they managed to find her lost capital ID. He felt certain it must have fallen among the composting leaves that covered the forest floor. At the time, he had been too flustered by the sight of her bloodied leg to even think about looking for any belongings that had dropped from her person. It was entirely likely that when he’d picked her up, the plastic card had slipped from her dress and was still sitting at the base of the trees where she’d passed out.

When Iris finally spoke, Cas glanced down at her with a frown. Her whispery voice was hard to hear, but he focused enough to catch her soft apology. “Don’t be,” he replied confidently. “None of this is your fault. You didn’t lose your memories on purpose, and I was the one who invited you to stay here. That’s why I said sorry to you.” As he said the last word, he poked her cheek with his finger, trying to cheer her up a little. There was no way either of them could have foreseen that the rebels would launch an attack on the royal family while she was staying under their roof, but he still felt bad for putting her through all the drama that came with it. He had just wanted to help her, and instead, she had gotten tangled in something that had nothing to do with her. It was a complete and utter mess.

As she stuttered that it would be better for her to leave, he tensed slightly. The same thought had crossed his mind just minutes before, but he wouldn’t have said so out loud. There was nowhere for her to go if she left the mansion now. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” he advised her in a low tone, reaching up to brush away one of the tears that rolled down her cheek. “We still don’t know where you’re from, and you don’t have any money or identification. I know I wouldn’t feel comfortable sending you off when you might not have a place to sleep at night. If the soldiers find you on the streets after dark without any way to prove you’re a capital citizen, they’ll have you arrested.”

It was a hard truth, but as long as she remained unclaimed, she would have to stay with the Maydestones in spite of the ongoing situation with the rebel prisoners. He resolved silently to try to keep her out of it as much as he could, since she was clearly having a hard time with it all. Thinking about it, he wondered if the terrorist attack had reminded her of her mother. When she’d told him about her before, it had sounded like her mother had died in the ongoing war with the Scourge, so it wouldn’t have surprised him if some old feelings were resurfacing.

The antidote was successful.

Caspian startled as a soldier’s voice suddenly resonated through his earpiece. He’d gotten so caught up in talking to Iris that he’d forgotten about the interrogation again. The man on the other end of the frequency continued: The prisoners will be returned to the holding cell until they are well enough to continue interrogating.

Cas sighed. As much as he wanted to stay in the room with Iris, he didn’t have much more time left until he would be obligated to keep up with the questioning of the terrorists again. He leaned his cheek against her head, holding her against his chest as he made the most of the few minutes they had left before he had to go back to his duties.

It's definitely hard when I've only got 12 more weeks left before I graduate ^^; The class I took a midterm in isn't related to my major though, so I don't really care what I get, haha. I just picked it up for the extra credits, because I was 3 short of my required 120 to get my degree in May. I'm investing almost all my time into the projects that I'm doing for my field, because those actually matter to me :)

Good luck with getting a promotion! Delays to schooling are frustrating, but extra money is always nice lol What kind of position are you trying to get?
It was good! I'll get started on a reply, but I've got another long studio soon, so I might not get done until after it's over if I can't focus enough to write it all out in one sitting. We'll see xD
Yeah, she doesn't have a whole lot of time left, since Atlas is onto her. He's sickly, but he's an experienced king, since he took over way more responsibilities than Cas did when he was the crown prince decades ago. Cas thinks he's paranoid, but it's because he's too trusting in a world where more people are against the royal family than for it ^^; He doesn't yet have the experience to discern between when he should be kind or cunning in the world of the upper class either. It's about to be a very steep learning curve for him when he experiences betrayal for the first time.
I don't have a preference on the timing of it ^^ I just figured that hearing Cas sentence their friends to death would be enough to push Iris over the edge if she was still uncertain about going along with Ethan's idea.

And it certainly wouldn't be good for Atlas, haha.
It's definitely a tense buildup before she and Ethan more forward with their plan cx

Yeah, I'm thinking what will happen is that the prisoners will recover enough for the interrogators to finish their work, and then later that day or tomorrow morning, Cas will have to make the announcement that they'll be executed (his father's health could take another dip, so he isn't feeling up for standing in front of a crowd)
