There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Nope. I ended up talking to over 10 different people today trying to figure out what was wrong. Not a single person could help me, and I eventually figured out the problem on my own XD

See, because I run Windows on a Mac, there isn’t a single specialist who can give me advice. Microsoft techs aren’t allowed to give advice about OS, and Apple techs aren’t allowed to give advice about Windows. Boot Camp is a Frankenstein software that uses both, so it’s ridiculously hard to troubleshoot issues because I have to bounce between both companies, and neither one is very knowledgeable about the software.

Anyway, I managed to get the internet to start working on my own, but I ended up way too tired to write afterward, so I’ll be catching up on posts tomorrow!
Yeah, it was super lucky that I got that done yesterday. I had to go to the store to buy a blank flash drive xD Now I'm back on hold waiting for another rep to help me keep working on this
One whole project xD I finished my capstone yesterday, but I have another project due one week from today that I was going to start this morning. That plan went down the drain with the tech problems.

As an aside, I think I've got the most patient Apple employee in the whole world on the other end of my phone. We've been troubleshooting for over two hours, and she's still so chill
I hope so too! I can't get any work done until the internet is working ^^;

Oh no xD That sucks for him
It's a really new modem that our provider just released a couple weeks ago, so even they don't fully know how it works xD
Also, it's connecting to literally every device in the house except for my laptop when I'm running Boot Camp, so I have no idea what's going on

It's good that the lack of internet didn't affect you!
I'm having major internet issues today, so it could be a while before I get a post up ^^;
We just got a new modem, and it won't give us fast speed or even connect to my laptop when I'm running Boot Camp (Windows on Mac). I'm currently on hold with tech support trying to get this mess fixed
No worries! I hope you feel better soon
“Got me there,” Jett shrugged. In all the commotion, he’d forgotten that she was an actual engineer. It was definitely hard to remember that she was a working woman with a full-time career when she was parading around an infinity pool in an itty-bitty white bikini. Right now, she looked more like a Victoria’s Secret model with an attitude. But, of course, the one person on the show with whom he’d started off on the wrong foot had to be packing both a brain and a body. At least they seemed to be getting along better now than they had that morning. He couldn’t tell if her mood had genuinely improved or if she was just putting on a show for the cameras, but either way, he was enjoying the unspoken truce between them while they had to work as a team to avoid getting booted off the show.

When they got back to their lounge chairs, he sat down and kicked his feet up comfortably. With wet swim trunks on, he was colder than before, but it didn’t take long for the warm evening air to start drying him off. “You might actually be right,” he agreed with an incredulous shake of his head. “Let’s just hope no one catches on to the fact that you turn into a ninja in that pool.” He shot her a teasing smirk and leaned into the backrest of his seat, propping his hands behind his head as the next two teams were called to compete.

Hanging out with Anna wasn’t nearly as bad as he’d first thought it would be. In fact, as they lounged by the side of the pool and competed in the next couple rounds—winning both seamlessly—he was reminded of how well they had worked together when they were dancing the night before. Although he didn’t want to admit it out loud when he knew she also had a sharp side, he enjoyed spending time with her when they weren’t bickering.

So, by the time the last match came around, the guardedness he’d expressed at the start of the competition had pretty much evaporated. “Ready to kick their asses and win this thing?” he asked when the host called them back into the water for the finale. “I know I’m about ready to have a nightcap and sleep soundly knowing we won’t be sent packing this week.”
I realized I forgot to add a post here lol

I found this on Google:

It's similar to what I imaged Crow got for Penelope, except imagine that the veins are also threaded with emerald :)

Vail was awash with relief as he felt Victoria’s formerly motionless heart begin beating inside her once lifeless chest. The turning ritual had worked. She had survived. He wasn’t going to lose her just yet. Not wanting to smother her, he removed himself from the bed and sat down in the chair he’d dragged over to the side of it. The effects of her blood on his system had faded for the most part, but his senses were still heightened just enough that he could smell the new blood running through her veins. It was different than before, no longer human nor even appetizing to him in any way, but he supposed that was a good thing. After all, it meant there was no more reason for the Wynters to pursue her. They could never turn her into their slave again.

It took a while before she woke up. In the hour since the first beat of her heart, he stayed by her side without moving. At one point, his mother stopped by to check on them, seeking an update on the Crest heiress’s condition, but he ushered her off. There would be plenty of time for Victoria to be greeted by her family and his later, but he didn’t want her to be overwhelmed with a room full of people when she first woke up. Katherine had always been a gossip, so he decided not to tell her that the new vampire fledgling was stirring until she’d had a chance to orient herself to her surroundings.

At last, she gasped her first breath as an immortal, and he felt his own breath catch in his throat. His gaze had landed on her eyes the instant they’d opened, and he couldn’t help but stare. No longer were they the light blue color he remembered them to be. Now, they were a deep purple, unlike the irises of any human beings. It was a hue he’d only seen in a few vampires as well. Most of his kind shared the same spectrum of eye colors as mortals did, but there were a few who bore shades of red and purple and other “unnaturally” bright colors. He’d always found the latter dazzling, although he’d never envied those who were born that way. They often had a harder time blending in among humans than the vampires who, like him, looked human as long as they smiled without showing their teeth.

Nevertheless, the purple shade was dazzling against her porcelain skin, and he was transfixed by it until he saw her mouth open and close, as if she was trying to speak. The slight motion was all it took for his composure to leave him, and he hurriedly wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace, practically pouncing on her in his delight that she had come back to him. Her body felt cooler to him than it had been when she was human, lacking the higher temperature that mortals ran, but it was something that was familiar to him, since it was like his own.

“It worked…” he murmured mostly to himself, closing his eyes as he buried his face against her neck. For the first time, the urge to sink his fangs into her throat was completely gone. There was no ulterior motive that went with the gesture; he just wanted to be close to her. However, he remembered abruptly that he hadn’t wanted to smother her when she woke, so he pressed a swift kiss to her cold skin and pulled back to meet her mesmerizing purple gaze, smiling at her fondly, “Welcome back to the land of the living, my love.”
