"I think it was Unversed." Saki corrected Kalak's attempt at naming the enemy before them. "What are they even doing here?"

The fight, though, wasn't going to give her much time to think, as Kalak made an introduction and was soon carried along for the ride. Saki tossed her book onto her back and ran off after the Unversed. First things first, they'd have to stop this thing. She cast bio on the rider, and then fired a bolt of ice at the tires of the bike. If she could just slow it down, it'd make an easier time for everyone.
Clarissa Sherman ~ Lumen

@Killy

Clarissa slowed her pace once they neared the docks, to take a look around. Plenty of places for dark things to hide, down in the piers or among the boats, and plenty of people about for easy prey. She wandered along at an easy pace and kept her eyes and ears open for any signs of activity.

Down by the waterfront, she spotted something that looked like a gathering of Hydes, and pointed it out to Marilyn. "Looks like them over there, down by the boats." She didn't exactly relish the idea of a fight so close to the river, but the danger of an unexpected swim would only make it more interesting. "How do you want to approach this one? Go in together, or try to flank them?"
Saki shook her head and sighed at Kalak's behavior. He was certainly enthusiastic, but she had a feeling he had a lot to learn. They didn't even know this would work, much less save the universe. But better to go in an optimist.

She picked up the book and read it as well. The report was enough to get them started, but there was something a bit off about it. Then again, she was reading someone else's notes, so there was a good chance they were incomplete simply because Xehanort didn't need to remind himself who G was. She doubted others would be able to make the most sense of her own notes if she just shared them without context. Saki shrugged and stowed the book away. No use leaving it here.

Saki's own armor was white with green trim, and her vehicle resembled some sort of single-person airship. To her, the trip was relatively uneventful. Plenty of worlds to look at as they passed, but the beauty of the spheres could be appreciated any time. And when one had a destination in mind, it wasn't the time for sightseeing.

==Pays Des Aristochats==

Everyone was far too concerned with their new forms. It was always a surprise, if one was visiting such a world for the first time, but saki still had to stifle a laugh. "Oh, come on. This isn't that bad." She had turned into a grey short-haired cat. "I'm surprised I'm not some sort of lizard to be honest."

She looked around. "This definitely doesn't look like a city. So I'd say our first order of business is to look around and get our bearings." They could always just be in a park, but there would at least be people around, then. "Hido, that nose of yours picking up anything interesting?"
Clarissa Sherman ~ Lumen

Night had fallen and the meeting had shifted to a patrol. Multiple powerful Hydes would definitely need multiple witches to fight them. Of course, for several to become that powerful...Clarissa tried not to think that it meant anyone was lax in her duties. More likely, these were smart to begin with, and carefully avoided notice.

Like several of the others, Clarissa went out transformed. She wasted no time in activating her own sensory magic, and to her, night became as easy to see in as if it were day. She left her hearing alone for the moment, being in a group. The sounds of footsteps or conversation would likely drown out anything she'd really want to catch. When Lucilla suggested they use their skills, she was ready with a reply. "I'm already on it."

As it turned out, her abilities were hardly needed. There were plenty of Hydes about in the district of London the coven had chosen for the evening. It didn't really look like the sort of place for a group of young ladies to be wandering unattended. Yet another casualty of the changing times.

The hydes were behaving oddly, very oddly. Clarissa had never seen one simply leave its victim alone before. Something was...she dared not think unnatural...unusual about that behavior. "This isn't normal. Something else must be going on." She kept her eyes and ears open for any sign of what that something might be.

At Sophia's suggestion, she turned to Marilyn. "Let's go, before they get too much of a head start." She didn't really give Marylin much choice in the matte, already running off to give chase.

Mary Anne Crewe ~ Blue Rose

The part of town they found themselves reminded Mary Anne of her childhood, and not in a good way. Drinking, poverty, plenty of easy marks wandering around. And hydes in profusion. Plenty of them silently fed on the petty misery of the locals. She'd never seen them just leave someone alone before, though.

Mary Anne hadn't yet transformed, remaining in her normal identity while she might be seen by certain people who might recognize her. She would when she needed to, of course.

"Not right is an understatement. What could even cause them to act that way?" She had a good guess. If there were some fully-developed ones around, they were probably how they hydes got organized. "I don't like it, though, so I'm glad I won't be going alone."
Clarissa

"Somehow, I didn't consider that," Clarissa comments on the answer to her own question. It would make sense that the various pixies were exchanging information. And largely unnoticed by their partners, at least in her case. She'd have to keep that in mind as a source of information for her own work.

"I can probably help tracking. My magic is focused around enhancing my senses, and I know something about following a trail or following someone in a crowd. I don't have any ability to just find things with magic, though."
Saya was confused by Mana's approach. She'd noticed...something unusual about the other girl, too. Some sixth sense was telling her she wasn't normal, but it was in a good way. That sort of "this person is a comrade."

"Senpai, are you feeling okay," she asked. Some things were more important at the moment. "Do you need to go to the nurse's office?" Saya stood up from the table, ready to escort the older girl. This wasn't a prank, even if it was some strange girl walking up to her. Nobody could look that bad and just be faking it.

It was almost as if she could feel the other girl inside her head, especially this close. "You're like me, aren't you," Saya asked quietly. She didn't really even mean to say it, it just slipped out. "Eh! Ah..um, I'm not sure why I even said that."
"Oh, sorry," Saki quickly apologized to Quentin. "I suppose I misspoke there, but we do all adapt in out own way." She paused, not quite sure how best to phrase things. "I guess in my case, I was already an adventurer used to wandering from place to place, so wandering between worlds isn't much different. I don't know your own situation, so it was a bit tactless of me to speak that way."

She hadn't found the person with whom she shared a link, either. They had to be out there somewhere, and she'd know them if she saw them. But until then, she just had to keep looking.

Xehanort's plan did sound pretty outrageous. Create some artificial First Heart or whatever? Seemed like an impossible dream. But she'd seen enough of the impossible happening in her own world that she wouldn't discount this one.

"I don't see the harm in trying. I'm not kidnapping any princesses, though, so if I ask and they aren't interested in helping, that's the end of it."
Mary Anne

"It's nice to meet all of you," Mary chimed in. "I've been at this, hm...something over a year, I think. You might've seen me in the papers every now and again." She didn't elaborate further.

"Careful there," Umbra spoke up to admonish her. "You really shouldn't draw any more attention to yourself."

"Oh, why not," Mary argued in quiet tones. "If we're all working together it won't matter, or they'll find out anyway."

Mary wasn't sure if she should get up and curtsy for her hostess or anything, but she was already seated, so that would've been silly anyway. If they needed as many people as possible, whatever this is must be big. But she didn't feel like there was much reason to ask things without hearing what the actual reasons for the coven were. So small talk it was, for the moment.

Clarissa

Clarissa really couldn't put off introducing herself anymore, so she finally spoke up. "I'm Clarissa Sherman. It's a pleasure to meet all of you." She actually was looking forward to working with them, at that.

Something one of the other girls had said in her introduction had piqued her interest, so she addressed her directly. "Jackie, was it? Training to be a doctor is an admirable thing. I'm something of an amateur detective myself."

Mary Anne quickly hides her shock at the mention of the word "detective."

Clarissa wanted to ask about how they managed to track down so many witches. The rest of her questions, at least, would probably be answered in due time. "I'd still like to know how you managed to track down so many of us to send invitations," she said.
Clarissa & Mary Anne

The mansion was quite an impressive place for a headquarters, as far as Clarissa was concerned. She remained silent on the way in, carefully studying the other girls in the coven. It was quite a collection of witches who had answered the summons. For this first meeting, Clarissa had dressed as a young lady should. It wouldn't do to make a poor first impression.

Once indoors in the sitting room, she happily took a seat. "Thank you," she said to Veronica before busying herself with studying both her hostess and the other girls in the room. It might be a little much to try and place all of them, but she tried to take in as many details as she could. Unfortunately, she wasn't the best for small talk, and was more the sort to hide behind sipping her tea.

Mary couldn't help but gawk a bit at the mansion. This sort of place was even bigger than her family's and spoke of quite a bit of money. She regained her composure quickly enough, at least. Gotta look like you're used to this sort of stuff and all. She really preferred working alone, but something like this big group might be important for a city as big as London. Besides, there wasn't any harm in hearing things out.

Once indoors, she took a seat right in the middle of the couch, and wasted no time in introducing herself to the girls on either side of her. "I'm Mary Anne. It's nice to meet you." Nothing fancy, but it'd do for a start. The easiest way to blow through her nervous feelings was to just push on with even more energy, anyway.
@Mistress Dizzy There are a lot of options from mythology. The three fates from Greco-Roman myth, the Norns, probably more I don't know. The whole threads of fate is a common enough thing in world myth.

Not much else comes immediately to mind.
