Defining Moments: She learned how to swim at a young age, and has been basically a prodigy child ever since, succeeding in everything she put her mind to and becoming the youngest Shamman in her Tribe's history at the age of 16.
A Typical Day: Nisa always wakes just after dawn, and proceeds to make her rounds. She checks the wounded and sick, and then goes to help prepare the midday meal with the rest of her hunting group. Because of her group's aptitude for swimming, they normally hunt fish in the shallows of the sea near their camp. After the meal is caught and cooked, the Tribe eats together in the center of camp, Nisa feeds the sick who cannot eat for themselves afterwards. Once she is done with her healing duties, she goes down to the seashore to meditate until sunset. Sometimes the people of her tribe will come to her while she is meditating and ask about problems they are having, or worries of the future. At sunset, families gather for the last meal of the day. As Nisa's family is all dead or missing, she eats with the sick and wounded who could not join their families that day. After the last meal of the day, Nisa does her rounds again and then walks around the camp once before going to sleep, bidding her people goodnight.

Village detail

Tribe/Village Detail:
The Island is located in the Caribbean sea and the Bermuda Triangle, within sight of many other Islands but that the Rosario clan of the Chus-Cande have never been able to get to due to the many freak tropical storms that occur near their Island. The Island itself is mainly dense jungles and the large plains region where the tribe actually lives. The villagers don't actually know how large the Island is, as they've never been able to go all the way around it around the coast. On either side of the village there are large cliffs going all the way to the shoreline, blocking the villagers from walking along the coast away from the bay formed by the cliffs that is in between the village and open ocean.

The cliffs slope down as they go inland, but the jungle takes them over before they are low enough to be easily climbed, and the face of the cliff is so steep that it is nearly impossible to climb anywhere else. The villagers are able to go around these cliffs on boats to other beaches where some villagers have before attempted to go and start another village, but have always been thwarted by the jungle and harsh seas there.

The village itself is set up in a circular fashion, with the paths and such forming the markings for a written incantation that, when activated by everyone in the village, will start a protection spell that causes the ocean to rise over the village in a dome that has been used many times to protect the village from the hurricanes that hit the island occasionally.

There is a large wall around the side of the village that borders with the jungle, with the only way through being the 'gate of the lost' named in Chus-Cande. Around the other other edges of the village there are farming plots, and on the opposite side from the jungle was a wide beach where the villagers keep their boats and smaller ships when they aren't in the bay or on a voyage.

The bay between the beach and the ocean holds the larger boats and ships, and is normally calm enough for the villagers to swim and fish in its waters. the waters around the island are very clean, but there is no freshwater source anywhere that they know of. That's not a very big problem though because anyone can purify small amounts of water to make it drinkable with fairly little effort, however the Shamman is the one mainly responsible for the water needed to water the village's crops and take care of the livestock.

The village itself is made up of clay buildings and tents For buildings that were damaged or destroyed and in need of repair and rebuilding, with all the Orphans and sickly living in one large building in the center of the village. A building next to the central hall serves as a type of library, storing any and all information on Tratagua'na.

Magic stuff

Magic: They view magic as mainly good, as it has practical use. A Shaman is a religious leader that also serves as a teacher and has a lot more stamina and strength in the use of magic than most people of their tribe.

Process: Chanting and incantations, along with the use of a symbolic written language that can act as an incantation in situations where speech is unnecessary or ill-advised. The water responds to the incantation and takes it's toll, following the will of the user. Needless to say that this also takes a lot of concentration on what the user wants the elements to do. When a Shaman leads an incantation, all those who speak with them are lending their focus and bodies to the outcome of the spell, however they always have a choice whether to speak or not.

What Nisa can actually do: She can control large amounts of Water, in order to create large waves, or to filter it so it is drinkable. Also she can control the water in a person's body (their blood basically) to help speed the healing process. She is incapable of focusing on a very large amount of water for a long time, even with the help of others.

Chus-Cande

Chus-Cande is a strange language that seems to be a mixture of the syllables and sounds used in the incantations that her tribe uses to invoke the power of tratagua'na, and the two other spoken languages; Spanish and English. The Chus-Cande people are a 'kindgom' of sorts, made up of many different tribes. Nisa's people are the Chus-Cande, but she is Shaman of the Rosario tribe of Chus-Cande, or the Rosario Chus-Cande.

Common Chus-Cande words and what they mean.

• Tratagua'na = literally means 'water treaty'. This is the name for the Chus-Cande's magic abilities to control water.
• Shaman = This actually has a similar, but different enough meaning to put on this list. When used in reference to anyone who is a part of the tribe, it means the English definition, a leader and teacher. When used to describe an outsider, it roughly means 'sheep'. This is an insult, as sheep are considered dumb and impressionable.

Tarentek was obviously very shaken by the memory, but he had managed to uncurl himself and take the glass from Onyx, so she hoped he might be calming down. She noticed he was crying, but trying to stop as he told her how he felt. Onyx glanced down at the new mark on her palm, and a sharp pang went through her. She felt so complete since she had seen the vision of the dark Elissic, she could hardly imagine how sad and lonely Tarentek must feel that he would describe himself as broken.

He had told her in passing about some of the events that had led to Onyx meeting him at the sea just a few days ago, although she had never thought that there was more that he would never be able to tell because of the pain and fear it caused him to even remember it. Onyx sat on the bed beside him and began to reach for his hands. She hesitated a moment and then forced herself to hold his hands in her own, looking him in the eye.

"I don't know what your life was like before this happened to you, and I do not hope to be able to understand completely, but I want you to know this: The past is behind you, and so long as you learn from it, the horrors you've known will never happen again." Onyx kept holding his hands, and she could see the white mark on her palm as she looked at them. "I also think you should know that I'm here for you, if you need to talk about it, or you just need a distraction."

@Mokley yea, that was all kind of implied that a person would focus more on one element than any of the others by the whole "get torn apart" thing, although now I think i'l change it so it just is the element of Water.

Personality: She is sweet and kind to everyone she meets, and is a very good friend. She gets scared easily, and will try to hide it. She acts strong for those around her, but because of this she knows that only the ones who see through her charade are her true friends, and it makes her sad to know this because of how little people ever do.

Backstory: She's had a happy, but simple life so far. Her mother is a nurse, and her father a lawyer. she has a little brother named Lucas, and an older brother named Kato. Kato is in college, so he's not around very much, while her younger brother is still in elementary school. One day, her family got into an accident, where Annalee her brother Lucas and her father were all injured, Annalee the least of them. A year later, her brother is fully recovered, and her father is forever paralyzed from the waist down. During the time right after it happened, when no one was sure about whether he would live or die, that was when she met her doll, as she was grief-stricken and kept blaming herself for the accident.

Skills: Because of her mom's occupation as a nurse she knows advanced first-aid and CPR, and she knows stuff about herbal remedies and edible plants too.

Personality: A being pretty much devoid of all emotion, MiRRor only shows who he truly is when he sings from his heart. He is apathetic to most things, and unusually calm all the time. He can be angered, however if that happens you do NOT want to be anywhere he can see you, as then you will be trapped within your reflection. As for his relationship to his master, he wishes that he did not need to be tied to anyone to be able to stay in the world, and resents being forced to protect his master to ensure his own safety. He will humor any requests made by his master, however if he were to be forced to do something by his master, he would likely become enraged and trap them in their reflection for a bit.

Abilities: MiRRor is not especially physically strong for a doll, although he does have enhanced speed, his true power lies in his mirrors.

• Physical Reflection: Basically a clone of MiRRor, made from his own reflection. If the mirror the reflection started from is destroyed, then it too shatters. The physical reflection can use the Reflect and Mimic skills, and has all the same physical strength as MiRRor. MiRRor uses this skill mainly for creating decoys.
• Reflect: MiRRor becomes a perfect reflection of his opponent, in looks and speech only though. By doing this, MiRRor also gets a glimpse into his opponent's mind and is able to look through recent thoughts and memories. This is really useful for creating confusion in the enemy group and spying, but he can only keep this up for so long as he can see the person he is reflecting.
• Mimic: A more refined version of Reflect, except it trades being able to read the thoughts and memories of the target for being able to mimic anyone, no matter if he can see them or not.
• Mirror Trap: If the enemy is surrounded by mirrors, MiRRor can create multiple Physical Reflections and attack as a group. While this depends more on MiRRor's physical strength than any of his other skills, it uses numbers and his enhanced speed to batter and confuse the enemy.
• Mirror Travel: MiRRor and any of his physical reflections can move into, out of, and between mirrors at will. He rarely gets lost, but he still always has a fail-safe. Basically, the real MiRRor will tie a string to his master's wrist and use it to guide himself back to his master if need be. The type of string isn't tangible, so his master could go anywhere while MiRRor is traveling, and he would always just come back through the closest mirror to his master.

Weapons: He doesn't like to use weapons, although he does carry and use a large pocketknife and a small pistol.

Misc: His name is MiRRor, but he calls himself Ashling as a more 'normal' name. He does show that he enjoys music when he listens to it.

Tribe/Village Detail: The tribe is located between the vast ocean and the equally treacherous jungles on what they think is an Island in the tropics. The buildings range from simple huts and tents to the large clay building that was home to all those who were alone and the sick and injured. There is a large wall around the camp, barely keeping the jungle at bay. In the center of the camp is a large tower that if one were to stand at the top and look out on, they would be able to see the opposite end of the jungle, and in the opposite direction a series of islands that many in the Tribe hoped they could one day sail to, though they have yet to make a boat that can weather the sudden storms and harsh ocean.

Magic: They view magic as mainly good, as all they know of it is its practical uses and the fact that it can be taught rather easily. They can use magic generally to start a fire, help them lift heavy objects, stem the flow of blood from a wound, create light when it's dark, and summon water when they're thirsty. A Shamman is a religious leader that also serves as a teacher and has a lot more stamina and strength in the use of magic than most people of their tribe. The Tribe may only have one Shamman at a time.
