Bio

I'm happy to be seduced by quality writing.

I am also a person, who does things, in places. Which should suffice for now.

Back on a new account, so don't be surprised to see fresh takes of old characters (I really liked some of my old ideas!).

Best of luck chaps and chapettes, I just wanted to pop in and say that for the moment I'm a bit too busy to revisit this spiffy idea. :D

Much love,
Vigs
I just expended every last brain cell I have (read: not many) on quite the hefty academic paper, so I'm going to be self-medicating with Netflix for a day or so.

My collab will be done soon, probably, depending on the other participant's availability!

I am most familiar with that feeling.

I'll be around more regularly after tomorrow, praise be to the ever classic turkey based holiday.

Tanks are cool, but I'm not exactly an expert on the setting (thanks for the save wikipedia!).
No, but they all received commemorative silly hats.

Sidebar: Working on a research paper, so I'll probably be AWOL until...Wednesday best case.

I'm sure it's quite the vicious cycle.

As long as blood loss is kept to a minimum, I'll survive.

Lol... I get distracted by things for a day and everything turns into a funny bizzare conversation lol.

Science leads to dark things and spooky places. D:
Upside, at least I'm free from studying ovulation...for now.
Powering through another wave of exams, so it might be a couple of days until I post, but worst case I should be back in action by Wednesday.
@Transience So, quick question. Does the creepy, clearly devious hooded man who magiced into my cave and wants me to follow him have candy too?

...I'm totally gonna follow him.

Legends suggest that he also has a really cool van.
It's a crazy story.

In fairness, it was the 80s (I think) so everyone was probably too busy doing lines of cocaine to figure out things like copyright. ;)

Everything else is completely stylistic choices; in the first Battletech novels before the 'feel' of the universe was completely nailed down, the mechs did actually move more like those in most anime; doing combat rolls, dives and such. It was only after more of the books came out that they became the slower-paced 'walking tanks' everyone thinks of now.

I think that's partly due to Battletech just straight up stealing stuff from other franchises (like Robotech) in it's early iterations. :D

Agree really on everything you said, mechs in principle are pretty much "handwaving" central.
