So, Vilage, about those volunteers I was sending to help fight Spain.

Is there a port of Ethiopia that they could safely arrive at? And if so, which one?

That is a very interesting question. We haven't really covered what is happening in the west yet, but that sea is right beneath a major Spanish colony. If it isn't blocked, Pointe Noire would be your place, since it would be the most direct port connecting to Kinshasa and, by proxy, the rest of the country. The center of Africa is sort of patchy. There is a single rail line that leads through the area, but the road building was so expensive and so difficult that it isn't complete.

If you wanted it to be more complicated about it, Angola would be another point to land. I would imagine most of Africa will be nominally supportive of the Ethiopians, though the borders in Tanganyika-Mozambique are going to be iffy due to some politics I haven't completely explained yet

The 90s Nostalgia Thread

I was born in 1993, so I was ~7 years old when the 90's ended. Even then, I have very vague tidbits of the 90's, which really sucks since those tidbits are pretty cool.

I remember the music from then, especially the hip-hop and some of the punk stuff, but mostly country music. I remember waking up every morning and going to my entirely-wooden entertainment center where my huge, box TV was and playing the Sega and Nintendo. We played Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter, Kid Chameleon, Star Wars Pod Racer, Racing Round the World, and so much other games that - thinking back on - were so damn fun.

I remember some old TV shows, specifically a show about dinosaurs... they were like puppets I think... forgot the name. And another show, a cartoon, about a girl and a clan of folks who was stranded on an island... wish I knew the name.

Damn it. I really wish I was born just a weebit earlier.

Post Apocalyptic Discussion (Possible World-building?)

I like non-environmental apocalypses, sort of like "Dies the Fire" but perhaps with less voodoo behind the plot. Something like a modern dark age. Viruses kill most the population, industry collapses for some reason, that sort of thing.
