And yet again, when Precipice slows down enough that I think it might die off, an activity spike just sort of happens and we're back in business.
That is good. It'll help balance out the rest of our "Vague totalitarianism because we don't want to fuck with it" style.
Oh, I was expecting to be rebuked for not including a detailed itinerary of every granary in Britain.

Aaron doesn't read the apps of countries that aren't on his borders.

I read it though. It's all good as far as I can tell. Aaron might want a historied app though.
I loved reading this article!

I inserted as many possible careers I'm interested in and was relieved that a lot of them had the result of "it's quite unlikely" for them to be automated by a robot.

Thank you for sharing.

It looks like 35% of the jobs on the list are at high risk though. Assuming that they don't get replaced by an equal amount of new jobs relative to population growth, this'll still effect you quite a bit. It means that the jobs still remaining will be much more competitive, plus whatever changes we as a society have to make will naturally effect you as a member of that society.

I once made the mistake of Google image searching "Ukraine war".

I ended up watching my screen load with images of kids with half their head blown off and the mangled bodies and I thought to myself: "I sort of regret this decision for once".

You googled war and found pictures of corpses? Holy shit.

618 here.
All the variety of "Castration" googles I did to try to get an idea about the differing East African practices... that did get rather weird.
Well, I'd call that a green light then.

As a matter of canon, Shyri's plotline mostly stuck within Britain itself, so really the only sticking point is the South African invasion. But even that, aside from a few dialogue bits among the rest of us, hasn't entered the general story yet.

So I'd say, pending Googer and Aaron's opinions, that you can do pretty much whatever with Britain so long as it makes sense. Only rule is the general "WW1 sucked and Britain wasn't geopolitically relevant for a while" rule that we tend to apply to most European countries so as to keep things consistent.
